The style is a perfect example of 14th century Catalan Gothic and the temple is seen as an icon for Catalan Gothic. It´s situated in the middle of the little, cozy streets of El Born, la Ribera area. Especially the inside is really impressive, imagine it took about 5000 persons to build this temple.

Montjuïc hill have a lots of beautiful parks and gardens (also my favorite botanic garden). In the post-War it was a shanty town until the early 1990s (you will find tiled floors of what used to be houses), and has lain abandoned since then. It offers amazing views, from this place full of history, as post civil-war immigration to Barcelona is very important to urbanisation of this wonderful city, thanks to which Barcelona is what it is.

About two thirds of the way up the Ramblas, on the left, you will see one of Europe's largest and most famous food markets. The "Boqueria" Food Market is a must-see during a trip to Barcelona along with the Ramblas or Plaza Real which are in the same area. Specialist stalls selling many and varied options of olives, seafood, fruits, meats, cheeses and much more are all on offer. In the back of the market you can eat the fresher seafood and fish in Barcelona, straight out of the sea onto your plate!

The Parc de la Ciutadella is very idyllic and probably the greenest oasis in the megacity of Barcelona. It invites you to relax, to rebound and to go for long walks, as well as for a picnic. You can also use a rowing boat on the lake. On the grounds of the Parc de la Ciutadella, there are several attractions: the Catalan Parliament, The Museu d'Art Modern is situated in the building of the parliament. The Zoological Museum and the Museu de Geologia are placed in the area of the park. The Zoo is located in Parc de la Ciutadella which is worth a visit, especially with the whole family. There are almost 7.500 animals which represent 400 different species.
