What started as the backyard garden of David & Hazel Bigger in 1928 is now an 11 acre paradise located in the heart of Rock Hill . . . and it continues to grow. The Garden boasts a variety of blooms year round. Azaleas, dogwoods, wisteria, camellias, and hardwood trees are just a few of the treasures awaiting visitors as they stroll the grounds. Although it varies somewhat each year, the peak blooming season is typically during late March/early April. The Garden was the original inspiration for Rock Hill’s annual Come-See-Me Festival which has become a 10-day event held each spring at Glencairn Garden and other Rock Hill sites. There is no admission fee for the general use of the garden.

Walking distance. Built in 1839 in the historic East Town District, the White Home was one of the first homes constructed in Rock Hill. Evolving from a small one room house in the early 19th century, the home was added to and remodeled over some forty years. Five generations of the White family lived in the home until it was purchased by Historic Rock Hill in 2005. Members of the family were instrumental in the development of Rock Hill and helped guide the town's future through the Civil War, WWI, the devastating tornado of 1926, WWII and through the civil rights era that changed America. ** Admission
