This is the reason people come to the Peninsula. Only 45 minutes away from our guest house. Breathtaking views of the Olympic Mountain range and to the North views of the Salish Sea and San Juan Islands. Make sure you plan your trip early, before 9 AM, or later in the day after 4 PM. The park has minimal parking and going through the entrance can take awhile, but anytime you go it will be well worth the trip. Hurricane Ridge is open year round offering great hiking trails in the summer and skiing, snow shoeing and even inner-tubing in the winter. We highly recommend the ranger hikes that are offered in the summer. It's about a one and a half mile guided walk that lasts about an hour. Great info about the area, wildlife and its FREE! Lookout for those Olympic Marmots! It's also an incredible place for star-gazing! Join a Master Observer at Hurricane Ridge for an evening of astronomy and star-gazing. On a clear night, visitors will be able to gaze on thousands of stars, as well as galaxies, constellations, nebulae, and planets. They even have telescopes to use and it's FREE!

Lake Crescent is one of the clearest most beautiful lakes in the country. Go for a swim in the lake, take a hike to Marymere Falls (highly recommend) or take a boat tour of the lake. That's just a few things you can do. It can get busy in the summer and weekends so go early or later in the day. If you go later, have dinner at the lodge (reservations recommended) then catch the sunset across the lake. Absolutely spectacular!

Beautiful walk through the forest that takes you to an amazing beach. For those that really want to take a hike, walk out all the way to the end of the spit and visit the historic Dungeness Lighthouse. A little over 10 miles round, but well worth the trip. Cape Flattery is on a lot of folks "bucket list" and for good reason. The northwestern-most point in the contiguous United States is an amazing place! A 1.5 miles, out and back hike that weaves through coastal forests with multiple lookout points with awesome views. Eventually the trail ends at the observation deck with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island. Don't forget your camera or binoculars and scan the water below where you may see whales, sea lions, seals, otters or even puffins. If you go just bee sure to dress warmly, and be ready for rain.
