This is the start of the W&OD trail that ends in DC. It is a great bike trail that starts at Magnolia's Mill restaurant. We love to go for a bike ride followed by a meal at the restaurant.

This is the closest access to the Appalachian Trail from here. It's a steep drive up a gravel road, and the hike from the trail center up to the trail is a couple hundred steep steps, but worth every step when you get to the lookout point at the top! Great for packing a picnic and making a day of it!
