You have to run up the Rocky steps! The view of Philly is one of the best. Also check out the cool statue of Rocky. And while you’re there check out one of the several amazing museums up and down the parkway! Great indoor thing to do o on a rainy day.

South Street is the best place to get a feel for a Philly’s culture. From the local shops, live music venue to the restaurants and bars and the best cheesesteak! (In my humble opinion). Don’t miss the funky, weird and risqué shops if you want some real local flavor! You have access to the parks on the rivers on either end of the street as well as the most historic part of Philly- Society Hill right off the street. You could easily spend all day roaming South Street and the surrounding areas.

Parks & Nature

This park is walking distance from our house. The path goes up the river for miles and takes you past iconic Boathouse row and the Philly art museum. You can also stop off at center city or cross the south street bridge to go to U of Penn campus

Food Scene

We love the modern industrial feel to the place. the big open glass garage window is clutch on a nice night. Fantastic selection of craft beers. The menu selection is solid. And the waitstaff is great!

Getting Around

Philly’s Subway system only runs north/south and east/west. But it does run quickly and often for $2. Making it a good way to get to points of interest around the city
