A gourmet culinary adventure with a gritty southern twist. Both the quality of food and the uniqueness of this restaurant make it a must - and it’s our absolute favorite restaurant in Raleigh.

Definitely the best view of any restaurant in the city. Not too far from the Airbnb and basically a straight shot west on Hargett you’ll find this local gem with great food, ambience and in-house crafted beers and cocktails. So fun and tasty!

The quintessential Raleigh hangout spot filled with friendly locals and the best selection of North Carolina craft beer you’ll find in all of Raleigh. Located in the Oakwood neighborhood, this is walkable (not as close as Roshambo but better). It offers beer, wine, cider, hard seltzer, non alcoholic drinks and snacks. Enjoy a seat at the bar or their outdoor patio. Stop by on Wednesday and say hi to your Airbnb host behind the bar!

Neighborhoods

Feel like going back in time? Just down the street is the Historic Oakwood neighborhood which offers plenty of sightseeing and tours - including tours of the Oakwood Cemetery (think: cool architecture, not ghosts). Nestled neatly here are other family friendly neighborhood joints where your hosts end up on a weekly basis! Worth a walk through this lovely and cozy neighborhood.
