Bend is a vibrant city in Central Oregon, in the gorgeous Cascade Mountains' foothills. Over the last few decades, the city has seen a spike in tourism and population as individuals from all over the country recognize the undeniable appeal of this outdoorsy, craft-beer-loving town. Bend is known for its world-class recreation, with miles of hiking and bike trails running through town and Mt. Bachelor and Smith Rock nearby. Combine that with a richly diverse cultural landscape, award-winning dining and boutique shopping, and you might not want to leave Bend.

In Bend, the summers are short, warm, dry, and mostly clear and the winters are very cold, snowy, and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 24°F to 83°F and is rarely below 11°F or above 92°F. The best time of year to visit Bend for warm-weather activities is from mid July to mid August.
