Apenheul is a big zoo on the outskirts of Apeldoorn. More than 300 monkeys of about 35 different species that are native to Africa, South America, and Asia reside in the park. Many of the animals are not locked in cages: mesh or bars are hardly there, giving a unique experience to the visitors.
