The view from the summit is one of the great sights in the British Isles and it is a real achievement to make it up there. Wear good boots and thin layers of clothing as the weather can be changeable. Not to be missed!

Thanks to J K Rowling, this is one of the most popular attractions in Scotland so book your tickets early! The train runs two services a day in each direction and promises the most fabulous views around every corner.

When the river is running fast, this is a sight to behold. If you are feeling brave, then walking across the wire-rope bridge is very well worth it. The walk from the car park is pretty straight forward but good footwear is recommended.

To walk the whole route from Milngavie near Glasgow is a really great achievement. However, why not walk just part of the way, beginning at the Fort William end. Great views of Ben Nevis too...

Whilst not huge, it is an excellent place to visit nonetheless. The museum contains plenty of local history and gives a real feel for how life was once lives in Western Scotland.

During World War II, the Royal Marine Commando's undertook a lot of training locally and are fondly remembered by the more mature of years. With so many giving their lives, this is a fitting memorial to their bravery, endurance and sacrifice.

Fun for the young or the young at heart! Fancy walking along at tree-top level, abseiling down some rock-edges, dressing in wet-weather gear and canyoning down the fast way? Then look no further... A really good option for all weathers.

A very popular pub and restaurant that is popular with visitors and locals alike. The main restaurant is upstairs with bar meals downstairs. Very good food at a really splendid price and centrally located in the High Street. Worth booking ahead to be sure of a table and do not miss the whisky-cider. It will knock your socks off but is exactly as good as it sounds!

A very fine local eatery, one of the best seafood restaurants in Scotland and with Loch Linnhe being a sea loch, the catch could not be fresher. Real quality for a special occasion perhaps and certainly a memorable meal. Definitely book ahead....
