The Cades Cove Loop is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cades Cove is an 11 mile loop with beautiful mountain and valley views. It also offers some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing in the National Park. White tailed deer are frequently seen, and sightings of black bear, coyote, turkey, raccoon, and other animals are also possible.
Cades Cove has vehicle free days every Wednesday from May 5th through September 1st. This gives cyclists and pedestrians a chance to enjoy time in Cades Cove, without vehicle congestion. Bicycles can be rented at the Cades Cove Campground Store and Bike Rental.
