Restaurante mexicano

“From tamales and tortas to gorditas and carnitas, Chef Juan Cabrera takes Mexican comfort foods you'd find in a local Mexican food market and deconstructs them into culinary masterpieces at Fonda Fina. Awaken your palate with one of the fruity mezcal cocktails before moving on to the tortilla soup, pork belly sopecito (a corn tortilla typically loaded with cheese and meat), tamales and moles. A variety of homemade ice creams are the best way to round out a meal.”

Bar
“Run by a group of young French expats, this cosy restaurant and cocktail parlour hosts live music (think jazz, folk, blues) every Tuesday night. The French-Mediterranean restaurant is illuminated by twinkling candlelight; after dinner, head to the lounge upstairs – one of the only bars in La Roma – where you’ll find comfortable sofas and drinks served in vintage crystalware. Try the zacatecas old fashioned (bourbon, homemade sugar syrup, bitters and burnt orange) and absinthes sourced from around the world.”

Restaurante de comida casera

“For a night under the stars accompanied by some delicious food, Huset is your perfect romantic backyard barbecue. The main dining room is outside on the patio, with gravel underfoot and twinkling lights hanging above. The menu is seasonal and constantly changing, but their wood-fired grill and the essence of smoke invades much of the cooking you will find there—expect a lot of grilled and roasted main dishes. Huset also offers a great brunch menu on the weekends, a chance for you and your beloved to pass a cozy Sunday al fresco and well fed.”

“Bbq Louisiana style, anything from baby back ribs to brisket, pulledpork great service and a pretty cool outdoor picnic tables something really hard to find outside the US. Waiting list is around 30 minutes, but worth it. The experience of sharing table with others is good, that's the price you have to pay due to crowded place. Spectacular range of side dishes to indulge in- the deep fried onion, Mac and cheese, grilled broccoli with bacon. ”

Teatro

“Foro Shakespeare is a theater which breaks away from the traditions of Mexican drama. This theater, with its multi-modal space and five theater halls, promises a unique theatrical experience given to the audience by independent theater companies. Foro Shakespeare aims not only to support independent artists and directors and to entertain theater-goers, but it also intends to educate the members of the audience for them to become more aware of the skill and work behind the dramatic arts.”
