Come experience the wonderful world of the honeybee where we encourage you to take pictures. We begin our 1 1/2 hour experience near Tampa, Florida. I have several different locations to choose from ranging from Farm to urban areas. The address showing will not be the place that you will have your experience. After you book I will send out the location. It will be either Lutz, Odessa, or S. Saint Petersburg. If you book first, I can be flexible as to location. We will begin with a demonstration of the equipment used in beekeeping as well as dressing up in our full bee suits and then immediately start the hands-on experience. At this point you will be able to see, feel, hear and touch apis mellifera (the European honey bee!) as I guide you to a better understanding of these amazing creatures. During our time together you will manipulate equipment, ask questions and get a practical appreciation of the bees. After, you will enjoy a refreshment while we discuss your recent experiences. Upon completion, we provide a 5 oz honey jar and honey dipper to say thank you for being a beekeper for a day! Things to note: PLEASE BRING BOOTS or Tennis shoes. There is always a chance of getting stung, So if you are allergic to bees please choose a different experience. We want you to come away feeling alive and in tune with the natural world. You will be wearing a full bee suit.

Your 1.5+ hour interactive nature experience with the bees begins with a multimedia overview of the life of a bee. You’ll see a hive and learn how to hold a frame (without squishing the bees -they don’t like that). We’ll get suited up. Light a smoker. Do a safety check, and approach the hive. At the hive you’ll see and feel the power of propolis (a supplement for humans as well) -- its the glue bees use to seal up the hive. We’ll lift the lid and go inside. For some, that’s might be as far as they want to go. But, if you’re adventurous, we will do a complete hive inspection: Pull frames to see how the bees create honey and keep the colony alive. You’ll see open “wet cells” of nectar that are still in the process of transforming into honey. You’ll see capped honey, tiny freshly laid eggs and all the stages of bee development ( larvae, caped brood, and newly emerging “baby bees”). I’ll show you how beekeepers help control pests (other insects and diseases) and keep the bees healthy so they can do their important work. You’ll hold frames of bees and feel the weight of a full frame of honey when compared to a frame of bees. There’s always time for selfies. You’ll sample honey & enjoy a cold beverage sweetened with honey. This is Ecco tourism with some of mother nature’s most important workers.

Paint/ Photoshoot;an introduction to the Artist, a brief history of murals, importance of public art, examples of works in Miami. (No Artistic talent is necessary.) -Introduction to materials, brushes, spray paint, rollers, drop cloths, latex paint, tape and palettes. -Then an explanation of the process and meaning of 'underpainting" as the first step of creating a community mural. A community mural involves groups of people creating together, I will show you the tasks and different sections of the mural. Each participant will be encouraged and given instruction on all facets of the mural. A group photo and progress shots will be taken during the mural process. -How to create a wash, painting with water to make the next stage after underpainting possible is my signature style. -Using different brushes to make different lines as well as the "dry brush" technique for shading on some realistic images will be explored by all in attendance. Then the best way for everyone to enjoy their time is to learn by doing! Set up and introduction is 15 minutes, The actual painting is one hour and the post/photoshoot is 15 minutes. The Final stage of details and photoshoot with your work to always remember the experience. Creating a permanent mural in the mural capital of the world "Wynwood" on a highly visible intersection will culminate in a group unveiling as we say "Artworld!!!! Sudarshan Chakra Kriya is the finishing exercise, very powerful all chakras purification, performed via special breathing and silent chant of Wa Hey Guru. You will never see Miami like this! We will be meeting up at Lummus park in the middle of downtown Miami, having a brief meet and greet then, stand up paddle boarding or kayaking right through the middle of downtown Miami on the Miami River. We will be checking out all the lights and the sights from the water while paddling around taking some photos and ending with a couple drinks. ( I'll bring some beer and wine 100% complimentary for everyone.) Other things to note Please bring a camera if it is waterproof or has water housing. The Art of Custom Drum Building Experience. I will show you how drums are crafted from start to finish - from a raw piece of wood to a high-quality snare drum. Guests will come in and be guided on a tour through the workshop. We will discuss the whole process. I will share some great stories from my experience over the years. You will then be invited to join Michael in the studio where you can play on a variety of drums and instruments of your choice. This experience offers you the chance to see how drums are made first-hand. It will also teach you the importance of sound quality and bearing edges which you can implement on your own drums. Ask questions and take pictures as you like. We will do a short demonstration on cutting logs, sawing, and milling! A portion of the time will be dedicated to drum tuning and mechanics, so if you have a drum to work on, bring it! This experience is great for individuals and small groups looking for private sessions to learn the craft of drum building!
