Snuggled in the woods in the southeast section of Burnett County, you will find a rustic, minimally maintained, one-room camper cabin. Only accessible by foot, fat bike, snowshoes, skis, or horseback (during the summer & fall), the camper cabin provides a basic shelter for people that want the "camping experience" without having to handle a tent, or have the weather ruin their visit. Within walking distance of the Timberland Hills X-country ski area and the Ice Age Trail.
COVID-19 -- We want to be sure that everyone is aware that there are times we are unable to visit the Camper Cabin in between guests, which is why we ask that you tidy up the cabin before you leave. As a precaution, we recommend that you bring some sanitary wipes or sprays with you and simply wipe off the doorknobs, counter, table and any other area to help combat against the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), or for that matter, any other germs. The camper cabin is 10x24 feet in size with an attached deck. Inside is a table, benches, wood stove, and wooden bunk beds with foam mattresses. No linens or pillows are provided, so be sure to bring your sleeping bag. No electricity or running water is available, however, there is a pit toilet and a wood stove for heat in the winter months. We do try to keep a supply of wood onsite for use in the wood stove. You are NOT allowed to carry in any wood. If the supply is depleted, there is plenty of dead and down wood around the cabin area that you are allowed to collect for your use. An ax and saw is provided for your use. Please keep in mind that the cabin is not heated when not rented. In cold temperatures, it will take a few hours for the cabin to warm up. You will want to get a fire going and take a hike or go skiing for awhile to let the cabin get comfortable. Outside the camper cabin is a deck, fire ring with grate, log benches, picnic table, and outhouse. You'll want to be sure to clean up all your food so not to attract bears or other animals to the site. Accessibility: The camper cabin is accessible only by foot, fat bike, snowshoes, skis, or horseback (summer and fall months only). No motorized vehicles of any kind are allowed. The hike to the cabin is about 1/2 mile, with some hills. The hike can be quite muddy in the spring or after heavy rain, and you will be walking through snow in the winter. Bring appropriate footwear. When hiking or snowshoeing in, please do not walk on the groomed side of the ski trail, staying on the opposite side in single file. Capacity: Up to 6 people. There is a bunk bed with 2 full size mattresses and another bunk bed with 2 twin size mattresses. Additional overnight guests are not allowed. Your well-behaved pets are allowed. It is your responsibility to clean up after your pets. Bathroom: There is an outhouse available year-round. Water: There is no indoor plumbing or access to potable water. You will need to carry water in, so plan accordingly. The closest place to purchase water would be in the town of Barronett, which is appr. 8.5 miles southeast. Electricity: There is no electricity in the cabin. Be sure to bring your battery powered headlamps or lanterns. Candles or any other open flames are not allowed inside the cabin (other than what you use to light the wood stove). Cooking: There is a fire ring with a grate for cooking outside. You are in bear country, so be sure to clean up all food residue so as not to attract any unwanted, furry visitors. No open flames are allowed inside the cabin, however, cooking is permitted if the weather does not allow you to use the grate over the campfire ring and during the winter months with your pans or kettles on the wood stove. You may also bring a portable propane cook stove. Please use extra caution when cooking indoors. Heat: There is a wood stove in the cabin. Matches, lighters or other ignition sources are NOT provided, so please plan accordingly. In cold temperatures, it will take a few hours for the cabin to warm up. You will want to get a fire going and take a hike or go skiing for awhile. Once it's warm, it's good and cozy! Campfires: Fires are only permitted within the fire ring. All fires must be extinguished and cool enough to touch with your hand before leaving the site. You are responsible if the campfire gets away. You are liable for all expenses incurred in suppressing the fire and will be responsible for all damages caused by this fire. Campfires are not allowed when County or State emergency fire regulations are in effect. Firewood: You are NOT allowed to bring in wood from another area. We do try to keep a supply of wood for the wood stove to heat the cabin. If that supply has been depleted, you are allowed to collect dead and down wood from the surrounding area for the campfire ring, or the wood stove if needed. No cutting of live trees or shrubs is allowed. An ax and saw will be provided for use. Smoking: No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the camper cabin. If you do smoke, please do so outside disposing the butts in the fire ring or designated ash can.
The camper cabin is within walking distance to the Ice Age Trail, along with countless opportunities for hiking throughout the hundreds of acres of county forest land. Enjoy picking berries, mushrooms, tree seeds, or other edible fruits in the forest during their seasons! Just note that collection must not damage the plants or the natural features of the land. Know what you are consuming. You will be in the Timberland Hills Ski Area: during the months of December through March, guests are able to use the 30 KM of groomed trails for cross country skiing. There is also an established trail for fat bikes and skijoring. Hiking, hunting, horseback riding (in the summer and fall), and biking are popular activities the rest of the year. Mosquitoes, ticks, and bees do exist. You may want to bring along some repellent. Hearing loons, owls, coyotes, and other wildlife at night is quite common. Remember, this is bear country. Approximately 26 miles northwest of the cabin is the town of Siren. Once there you will find gas stations, a grocery store, auto repair, numerous restaurants, a movie theater, shopping, beaches, parks, mini-golf, and a golf course just west of town. About 3 miles from the cabin is a place where you can wet your whistle and get a bite to eat called the Timberland Bar & Grill. About 8 miles east is the small town of Barronett. They have a gas station, a couple of restaurants, a tire shop, and an organic grocery store. Cumberland Memorial Hospital is approximately 13 miles southeast in Cumberland, WI. Burnett County has over 150 thousand acres of public land with over 111 thousand acres of that being County Forest Land. Hunters come from afar during various seasons to pursue their game of choice, including whitetail deer, black bear, Canadian geese, ducks, ruffed grouse, and wild turkey. Catch some fish in any of our rivers, streams, or from one of our hundreds of lakes. Burnett County is home to the Jordan Buck, the Wisconsin record black bear, and the state record Hook and Line sturgeon.

The "Gatekeeper" cottage is our first new structure here at Stonehaven. The inside of the main floor is finished and beautiful! There is a natural stone fireplace in the living room, a full kitchen, a full bath on the main floor and a half bath in the sleeping loft. One must be able to climb ladder stairs to the sleeping loft. Guests are welcome to the outdoors of our 40 acres. This cottage is not right on the water, but the lake is accessible for all guests and can be seen from the porch.
This time of year Tuscobia Lake gets rather weedy, but the lake is still navigable at a slower pace. When using the pontoon, the weeds may need to be cleaned off the motor from time to time, but the lake itself is quite peaceful and relaxing to be out on. It is about a quarter mile walk or drive to our dock area and we do have several lakeside campfire areas for relaxing while overlooking the lake. Apple maps is accurate for getting to Stonehaven Cottages, and if you need directions please call or text us. Our cottage is smoke free. If you smoke, you are welcome to smoke outside on our porch or anywhere outdoors where the smoke does not affect others. Fireworks of any type are strictly forbidden on the property.
Stonehaven is located just a couple miles from the north end of the city of Rice Lake and about 6 miles to the major retail areas of the city. The Tuscobia Trail is just 2 miles north of us and there are several skiing trails, golf courses, restaurants and other entertainment venues within 20 miles of us. The Wild Rivers snowmobile and ATV trail can be accesses right from our north driveway. There is some traffic noise although not heard hardly at all inside. Saturday nights the noise from the Rice Lake Speedway can be heard. The speedway is out a mile away and the level of noise varies based on the wind direction.

Little Bear Lodge is a cute little private retreat on Long Lake between Turtle Lake, Wisconsin and Cumberland, WI. Sleeps 4-6. The downstairs consists of a living room with sofa sleeper and kitchen area, and the upstairs loft has two queen beds. Drive past grazing cows and farm fields into the woods, onto a private road, and down our long winding wooded driveway to our private retreat
Guests love the seclusion of the cabin and the feeling of being immersed in nature.
Secluded cabin - enjoy nature and wildlife viewing, get away from it all!

On rainy days, parents can still enjoy the lake from the front porch and kids can play in the replica A-frame play house. Two families can easily share the cabin and still have privacy. Great Room, Kitchen and Dining Room The great room is spectacular with a soaring ceiling, floor to ceiling windows facing the lake, and a beautiful fieldstone fireplace. Watch the deer meander by, the eagles soar, and listen to the call of the loon while enjoying the sunrise view from the huge wrap- around porch with a cup of coffee in hand. A large, well equipped kitchen allows the cook to be part of the fun in this open area. Enjoy a fire while listening to your family play cribbage or Monopoly on chilly fall evenings. This space is large enough to be set up for days worth of scrapbooking with family and friends. A dining table with the lake view seats the entire family, but who wants to eat indoors during the summer when you can picnic at the lakeside after grilling some mouth-watering steaks. Rainy days are no problem as you can enjoy the outdoors on the covered porch or just hop in the car and go to Shell Lake, Rice Lake, Cumberland or Turtle Lake. Moonlight Mooring has internet and TV, but likely you will be having so much fun, you will forget to turn on the electronics! Bring your own boat, use our canoe and kayaks or rent our pontoon. The yard is shaded with a combination of white and red pine as well as beautiful old growth hard wood trees including maples and oaks which provide spectacular fall color. Spend your afternoons fishing from the dock, napping in the hammock in the shade of the trees or visiting on the porch. Moonlight Mooring is literally just steps away from the lake, down a gentle slope. There is a grassy area at the lake's edge, so you can spread out a blanket and relax near the water . Parents can keep an eye on the kids from the porch while reading a book in serenity. Young children will enjoy hours of fun having their own get away in the replica A-frame playhouse which doubles as an overnight bunkhouse for pre-teens. In the evening, enjoy s’mores around your lakeside fire pit while telling ghost stories or reliving the great day you had on the water. After the kids are down, enjoy a well deserved soak in our hot tub as you watch the sunset and enjoy the stars coming out while being serenaded by the loons and owls. Nearly every week throughout the summer there are local festivals, dairy feeds, art fairs and music to add to this memorable vacation.

Spend a day or two in Hayward to enjoy the Lumberjack festival in the summer or the American Birkebeiner (or Birkie) the longest and largest cross country ski race in the US in the winter. See the great ore boats and the gorgeous scenery in Duluth, about 90 minutes away. It is vacation central!

Welcome to Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary! We are a private, non-profit environmental education and learning center. The rustic Andrews Cabin offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. The Andrews Cabin is located just off the main camp, settled on top of a hill overlooking forest and lakes. All new furniture, curtains and newer appliances were installed in May 2019. Nearby towns offer additional entertainment or relax in our quiet setting while reading a good book in front of the stone fireplace.
This cabin is perfect for those looking for a cozy, no frills, rustic cabin-camping experience in the woods of northern Wisconsin. The cabin was built in 1917. All new mattresses, furniture, lamps, and curtains were installed in May 2019. The cabin is located near the parking area and has one step to get into the building. The entrance into the cabin is on the west side of the cabin. It features original hardwood floors, log construction and a field stone fireplace. The cabin has a private bathroom with large shower, vanity, shelves, wooden hangers and flushing toilet. The kitchen includes a sink, oven/stove with four burners, fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. It has some dishes, pots, pans, eating and cooking utensils. Dish soap and dishtowels are provided, but dishes must be handwashed by our guests. Bedroom one features a queen bed and twin bed. Each bed has a night stand with lamp. There is a small table for placing luggage and hooks on the wall. Bedroom two has a bunk bed. The lower bunk is a full size mattress and the upper bunk is a twin. Both beds have their own light and the room also has a small closet with dresser. The living room has a large dining room table that can be expanded to seat 6 people. There is a large couch and two sitting areas with chairs. The large field stone fireplace offers ambiance to the space, but does little to heat the room. There is a wood shed near the cabin for the fireplace and a wood box located on the screen porch. There is a bookcase that holds books, games and puzzles. The large screen porch has a picnic table and an outdoor table with four chairs. Guests can also admire the original wood stove from the cabin. There are no lights in the screen porch. There is no heat or a/c in this cabin as it is only seasonal. It stays relatively cool in the summer thanks to the shading from the trees, but on the hottest days of the summer, a fan is provided for guests. We do our best to keep the century-old cabin pest free, but it is not sealed tight. So, guests should be aware that on occasion, there may be mice present - especially in the fall as they make their way towards warmer locations in preparation of winter. We recommend keeping food items in the provided bins, make sure garbage is properly stored and dirty dishes are cleaned up often. Also, the cabin is located in the beautiful woods of northern Wisconsin. Because of this, guests will experience bugs such as mosquitoes and sometimes deer flies. If you are hiking during the summer, you may also find ticks. It is recommended to wear long sleeves and pants while hiking and to bring bug spray if you will spend time outdoors.
The cabin is located on a 600 acre nature preserve in northern Wisconsin. The cabin is secluded, sitting on a hill in the woods. There is one other cabin located around 50 feet away. Nearby, we are surrounded by many small towns that feature a variety of recreational activities such as: skiing, snowmobiling, disc golf, golf, a wonderful sand beach in Shell Lake, fishing, shopping, hiking and more! There are also many restaurants and bars close by.

The Lodge on Pipe Lake is a spacious executive retreat roomy enough to hold a large family gathering. The Lodge is far enough away from the Twin Cities to feel "Up North", yet close enough that you can make it to the Lake during your little ones' naps.
Great Room, Kitchen and Dining Room The Lodge has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings in the great room, yet remains a warm and inviting home away from home. The great room has access to the main deck and a smaller deck off the master bedroom. Windows line three walls of the great room looking out onto this quiet end of North Pipe Lake, making this space perfect for wild life viewing and watching the gorgeous sunsets. A field stone, floor to ceiling, see through fireplace and a baby grand piano make this room so inviting it will be hard to leave! A fully equipped kitchen, with Sub Zero appliances, is a cook's dream. A six burner stove with a built in grill and double oven allows for easy, large meal preparation. The over sized fridge is perfect for large gatherings. The kitchen and connected expansive dining room also have floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake. The dining room shares the see through fireplace and is perfect for chilly nights and long board game tournaments. However, throughout the spring, summer and fall, the protected western exposure of the main deck allows comfortable outdoor dining. Bedrooms The master bedroom, with a window wall overlooking the lake, has a private entrance to one of the three decks. Little ones can share a room right off the master suite if they need to be closer to mom and dad. A large master bath with a soaking tub and separate shower makes this a true master retreat. Need some time away from the kids? This home is the perfect place - a fully insulated walkout level allows kids to have their own space yet close off their bedrooms should they need some privacy too. A separate "parent" bedroom in the walkout level allows a second set of parents to be on that level too. Windows and patio doors allow a spectacular view of the lake even for the kids. There is a wet bar and full bath in the walk out level making this a great home for two families to share. Outdoor Spaces The yard is shaded with a combination of white and red pine as well as beautiful hard wood trees including maples and oaks. Fall colors are spectacular and memories are made around the large fire pit as you roast hot dogs and eat those tasty s'mores. Take a short stroll down the steps to the lake where a large, newer pontoon is available for rent for those sunset cruises. Afternoons are spent fishing on this walleye/bass/pan fish lake, swimming, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking or just floating in the lake. Perhaps you just want to curl up with a good book on the front screened porch to enjoy the fresh air. Later you might use the porch for a late night chat or card game should the weather not be agreeable. The kitchen and dining room exit onto the huge deck made for entertaining with a large grill and easy access to the built in hot tub. The third lower deck has a hot tub that overlooks the lake and seats eight and provides a special view of a sky without light pollution. We dare you to try to count the stars!
The Lodge is situated on one of the best lakes in the area. The cabin is on smaller North Pipe Lake which is connected to the larger and fully recreational Pipe Lake. Both are great fishing lakes, the water stays clear throughout the season and Pipe has a nice swimming beach. The area is heavily wooded and has that true "up north" feeling.

Rustic cabin on a small wooded lake in Cumberland, Wisconsin. Has everything you'd want and need! Cozy with an insert gas fireplace, TV, equipped kitchen, sunny porch, lake access, fire pit and spacious deck. Summer/Fall - near a big recreational lake and a nice golf course, both within a mile. Winter - ice fishing, cross-country skiing with lighted trails, snowmobile area .... and then jump into the sauna ;)
There is a fire pit right by the lake which is lovely when the sun is setting. There is plenty of wood to burn.
Near a nice golf course and a bigger more recreational lake. In the winter, 7 miles away is an extensive cross-country ski area, some of which is lighted. Cumberland is a cute, small town with a grocery store, small shops, and several restaurants.

¡No te pierdas quedarte aquí!

    Michael2018-09-03T00:00:00Z

Gathering around a camp fire, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories is where so many memories are made! Horseshoe Lake is one of the most desirable lakes in the area. It is 400 acres in size, the water is clean and the lake is deep, making it excellent for boating, skiing, tubing, swimming and fishing. A floating swim raft increases the fun for kids and adults alike. Access to a canoe, two kayaks and two standup paddle boards included (seasonally). Pontoon boat rental available for an additional charge.
Turtle Lake is an easy drive from the Twin Cities, which can include a scenic drive through Taylors Falls or Stillwater. Close to St. Croix Casino, restaurants and bars, bowling alley, Comstock Creamery, and the quaint shops of Cumberland. Our cabin is in Polk County, which is home to multiple wineries, St. Croix National Riverway, Wisconsin Interstate State Park, Fawn-Doe-Rosa Wildlife Educational Park, Trollhaugen Outdoor Recreational Area (skiing, zipline and aerial park), golf courses, St. Croix Falls Mini Golf & Go Karts, Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway, Apple River, horseback trails, Barron Blue Hills, Wilke Glen & Cascade Falls. Part of Turtle Lake is also in Barron County, which is home to hundreds of miles of ATV trails, including the Cattail Trail and a 30 acre Intensive Use Area (ATV Playground), snowmobile trails, hiking and cross-country trails.

We just finished renovating our cabin on Long Lake. The main level of the property consists of a kitchen, living area, dining area and bathroom. The upstairs has 2 more bedrooms. The downstairs "game room" with darts, a foosball table, and a big screen TV. Feel like you are sitting in a tree house while you enjoy the screen porch overlooking the serene lake. Cozy up by the real wood fireplace. Year round fun. We are dog friendly, please contact us if you'd like to bring your pup!
Guests have access to the whole cabin besides a storage area in the basement that is locked off.
I fell in love with the area growing up and going to a family friends cabin. Cumberland is the nearest town and has such a great little Main Street with cute shops and restaurants.
¡Definitivamente regresaremos!

4 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin w/ fireplace in the living room. Wrap around deck with awning makes for a great place to grill, play games or just sit and relax. The lake is stocked and offers great fishing. Crystal clear water makes for great water fun.
check-in is 4:00 PM local time and checkout is 11:00 AM local time Inside: The cabin has 4 bedrooms 1st bedroom has a queen size bed, the 2nd room has a full-size bed, 3rd bedroom has 1 bunk bed that sleeps 2 and the 4th bedroom has another bunk bed with a full pullout futon below and a single mattress above. The living room has a loveseat, two recliners, a flat screen television, and a DVD player). We have DirecTV and Wireless satellite internet. There is also a stereo with AM/FM and cd player in the front bedroom. The bathroom has a shower only no tub. We recently installed a new electric 60-gallon water heater. The eat-in kitchen is roomy and looks onto the living room and has a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster. There is a table height counter between the kitchen and living room with 4 chairs. In the center of the cabin, there is an armoire with games and extra sheets and blankets. The dresser in the center has bathroom towels and beach towels. The center of the cabin opens up to a two-story high ceiling with windows all around and a ceiling fan. Outside: On the north side of the cabin is a large open area which is big enough for tents and also can be used for volleyball, croquet, bocce ball, horseshoes or lawn bowling. We do have a 2 person paddle boat and a canoe available. There is also a boat landing on the lake if you want to bring your own boat or watercraft. There is a speed limit on the lake and we ask that you be respectful of other boaters while on the lake. The other lake is best accessed by canoe, fishing boat or paddle boat. Depending on water levels it may not be accessible. Directly across from the cabin is an island which you are welcome to explore but there is no camping or fires allowed on the island. Beach area - Depending on the year and amount of rainfall we may or may not have a sandy beach area in front of the cabin. We have a fire pit on the south side of the cabin just off the kitchen. Please make sure the hose is made available when using the outside fire pit and do not leave the fire pit unless the fire is completely out. Douse with the hose to make sure all embers are put out. Inside during the cooler months, we have a fireplace and we recommend Duraflame logs since they are easier to carry and clean up after use. Also is one large space heater in the center of the cabin and another smaller one which we sometimes use in the living room or one of the bedrooms.
We have neighbors on either side of us who may or may not be vacationing while you are visiting. We expect anyone staying at the cabin to be respectful of others and keeping the noise down during the evening hours after 10 pm.

Come unwind and relax at our little slice of heaven on earth - this cabin is perfect for your vacation with family, friends, or even a solo trip to slow down and escape the rush of everyday life. Soak in all that nature has to offer on beautiful Sand Lake - the cabin sits on a gorgeous, private 2 acre lot at the end of a dead end road. With over 170 feet of wooded shoreline, there are expansive views from everywhere.
The perfect place, with everything you need - this three-season cabin is cozy, with the prefect layout, and a lot of room for up to 6 guests. There are three spacious bedrooms and an open concept living area and kitchen. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower, and bathroom towels are provided - please bring your own beach towels for swimming. The kitchen features a gas stove and is fully stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, etc. For those chillier nights, there is a wood burning fireplace and ample firewood to keep you warm. So much to do, on and off the water - the cabin is just steps from the water and we have two docks on the property. The steps from the dock directly in front of the cabin drop right into a shallow, sandy-bottomed swimming area. The lake bottom drops off by the time you reach the end of the dock, which is great for swimming, floating, or fishing off the dock. The lake is crystal clear, has great fishing, is beautiful for swimming, a float in a boat, or to paddle in a canoe or paddle board. There is a row boat provided on the property for your use and you can pull your own boat right up to the dock directly in front of the cabin for your convenience. Enjoy the charm of a piece of history - this 1940s cabin is one of the original getaways built on Sand Lake. The cozy cabin still boasts is original charm, but nearly all of it has been recently renovated. Observe the local wildlife - to the right of the cabin is a bay that serves as a natural habitat for many local birds and animals - you can spend nearly every evening in the summer watching and listening to the loons as you watch the sun set. You may even see the occasional turtle or otter swim by. Deer are frequently seen passing through the back, wooded acre of the property. And you can often hear the call of local owls as you nod off to sleep at night. Please take note - this cabin does utilize a sensitive septic system. You will need to be sure not to flush anything other than toilet paper and to not use unreasonably large amounts of water during your stay.
A great location - located just under a two hour drive from the Twin Cities, the cabin is located just over 8 miles northwest of Cumberland, Wisconsin you’ll be far enough away to escape it all, yet conveniently located near bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and more!
