A rustic stargazer where you can fall asleep watching the stars and wake up to the sound of birdsong! A rural spot, far from street lighting, the sky lights up on clear nights. Simple, basic, but unusual accommodation. This is a wooden A-frame structure with enough room for two to sleep in with a mainly glass roof.
Where else can you stay in a stargazer?! Our large Devon stone house in a quiet valley on the edge of the pretty village of Holcombe Rogus, surrounded by countryside. The house is half a mile from the village, which has a small shop, a garage and a pub. The Prince of Wales pub does pub food as does the Staple Cross Inn which is about 3 miles away. (food not available every day) Both Dartmoor and Exmoor, and the north and south Devon coasts, are about an hour away, and there are plenty of pretty walks close by, including the Great Western Canal. The cathedral city of Exeter is 40 minutes away, and the market town of Taunton 30 minutes. Nearby Wellington and Tiverton have a range of shops and supermarkets. There is quick and easy access to the M5 at both junctions 26 and 27, and is a 15 minute drive from Tiverton Parkway Train station. We also have available a single room. Please see separate listing.

  • ACOGEDOR, DIVERTIDO Y QUIRKY! ¡Mi pareja y yo disfrutamos muchísimo nuestra noche en la pequeña cabaña de observación de estrellas! Tess y Richard fueron anfitriones amables y amables, y nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. Tuvimos el uso de un baño privado durante nuestra estadía, con una hermosa ducha caliente y potente, y el invernadero para guardar nuestras maletas. Tess y Richard amablemente nos permitieron traer nuestro Thermomix, así que pasamos el sábado por la noche compartiendo su cocina, mientras cocinamos un Risotto de Champiñones, y disfrutamos de una conversación con ellos. ¡Mucho mejor que ir a un restaurante! En vista de nuestras preferencias dietéticas, también usamos nuestro Thermomix el domingo por la mañana para hacer un jugo verde y un licuado. Richard también nos hizo una hogaza de pan de malta casero, que era encantador. También se ofrecieron cereales y conservas. La cabaña de observación de estrellas en sí era muy acogedora, y había muchos edredones para mantenernos calientes. ¡Una forma divertida de dormir bajo las estrellas y una experiencia muy agradable en general!

  • Nos encantó nuestra estancia con Tess y Richard, que fueron unos anfitriones maravillosos y se aseguraron de que estuviéramos cómodos y tuviéramos todo lo que necesitábamos.     Very nice little self catering (or with breakfast if you prefer) chalet house for holidays in the Blackdown Hills. On the picturesque grounds of a westcountry smallholding with a swimming pool.
    Real peace and quiet but easy to get to. Flexible hosts and a good breakfast provided if you want it.

  • Tuvimos una estadía realmente maravillosa. El lugar está muy bien, muy tranquilo y silencioso con algunas caminatas increíbles a la vuelta de la esquina (mucho más de lo que podíamos caminar en el tiempo que estuvimos allí). El lugar en sí es muy cómodo, con una chimenea que funciona bien y una piscina de buen tamaño y bien mantenida. La cocina tiene todo lo que necesitamos.     The cottage has a lovely feel, with wood burner and Aga. Rural, but easy access from the M5, and parking for two cars. Fabulous place to use as a base for good walking & exploring the South West. A car is necessary & a desire to be off the beaten track, although good food & beers a 10-15 min walk to the village. Large rooms, comfortable furnishings, quality linens. Fully self contained with central heating and everything that you would need to make an enjoyable break.
    A quiet cottage attached to Walders Court, a grade II listed property dating from the 1600's. Used as the setting for the novelist R.D. Blackmore's novel, Perlycross, he being more famous as the author of Loorna Doone. Private and tucked away with your own entrance. Ideal for those needing a stopover, easy access from M5, J26 or J27, or those seeking a base to explore. Excellent walking, and a short 45-60 minute drive to Exmoor and Dartmoor. Entrance is via a flag path that leads from the parking area to the front stable door of the Cottage. The front door leads directly into the kitchen/dining area. This is a spacious room, equiped with an Aga for cooking and warmth, (separate heating system on thermostat to ensure the cottage stays warm) dishwasher, and washing machine, plenty of cupboard storage and a small fridge freezer. A kitchen table, large enough to seat six completes the area. An open staircase leads from the kitchen to the upstairs bedroom. The bedroom overlooks the entrance courtyard and the entrance gate. Furnished simply, with a 5' bed, comfortable mattress & quality linens. En-suite bathroom, with bath, washbasin and toilet. Returning to the kitchen. From the kitchen, three shallow steps lead you into a small open plan cloakroom area, with storage for coats and shoes. Access to the ground floor shower room and toilet is located here. The cloakroom leads to the living area. The living area is a light and airy space, with a small woodburning stove. It is furnished with a two seater settee, and a two seater pull out bed settee. Television and wifi access available in the living area. Please note - we are a rural community with slow broadband speeds. If you wish to stream movies, the broadband often fails. It is reliable for emails and other applications that need less speed. Outside, access from the front door is the small side garden. This is for your sole use while you are at the cottage. The garden is surrounded by a shrub hedge, beyond which is a country lane. As the season progresses the garden becomes more private and secluded as the shrubs become leafy. During the winter the garden is more exposed due to the nature of this hedge. BBQ and fire pit available for your use. Points to note. The ground floor living room can be easily used as a bedroom, with the shower room close by. The lounge opens from the cloakroom area, and although there are no doors, because of the dogleg style, there is privacy if it is to be used as a sleeping area. The main bedroom is accessed from the open plan stairs that lead from the kitchen, so any noise from the kitchen will be easily heard from the bedroom. Some windows, overlook the courtyard of the main house. These will not affect the privacy of the Cottage, as you cannot see into the Cottage from the courtyard. Finally, for those very tall, (over 6ft) the shower is fairly compact due to restricted ceiling height - feedback from guests are that the shower area is more than adequate for tall persons!
    We live at the foot of the Blackdown Hills in Devon. We sit underneath The Beacon, a short 10-15 minute hike up the hill to a fabulous 400 year old ancient monument used to call all good men and true, to arms, to ward off the Spanish invasion. The Blackdowns are one of the Westcountry's hidden gems, forming a tranquil, beautiful, and relatively isolated landscape on the Devon and Somerset border. Steep ridges, high plateau, valleys and springs create a charming mosaic of countryside dotted with farms, villages and ancient features. We are a 15-20 minute walk from our local village, where you can find The Culm Valley Inn, renowned for it's locally sourced food, real ales and lively atmosphere, a true village pub. Crossing the ancient packhorse bridge will bring you along to the Strand Stores, great for a good cup of tea and slice of cake, all home made, with lots of goodies to take away. We are equal distance between the North and South Devon Coastline. An hours journey can take you to the delights of these shores, into the moors of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Slightly further afield is the Eden project, but very accessible as a day trip. If you are a National Trust member, we have several properties on our doorstep for you to explore. Todo alrededor de la casa dentro y fuera y especialmente el lago al lado, es muy pintoresco. La casa está muy bien cuidada y limpia, totalmente equipada. Incluso incluyen accesorios, juegos y DVD si quieres ver películas junto a su hermosa chimenea.     Inside you'll find modern open plan living, dining and kitchen area with wood burning stove set in a Ingle nook style fire place. The room is flooded with light from the floor to ceiling windows and patio doors, that lead out on to the covered private deck with sunken hot tub. Here you are in a perfect position to immerse yourself in the peace and quite while soaking up the countryside views whatever the weather. The large enclosed lawn garden features a variety of flowering fruit trees and a wishing well style structure. a lovely setting for those who want to relax in the sun or enjoy a barbecue. Set well away form the lodge there is a pottery workshop where Jacob Bodilly is setting up shop. Guests can enjoy a private tour of his kilns, potters wheel and workshops, and may be able to watch as Jocob demonstrate some of his skills. Eden lodge is perfectly situated as a jumping off point for much of the south west. An hours drive from the surfing beaches of Croyde and Wolacombe on the north coast, and less the 30 minute from either the south coast, Exmoor National Park or the picturesque city of Exeter, there really is something for everyone. The pretty local town of Wellington is a 10 minute drive away with many local independent retailers as well as a Waitrose supermarket. There are three local pubs with in 2 miles that offer a variety of dining options or just a quite spot for a relaxing drink Covid 19 As Eden Lodge a single bed property and the foot fall is extremely small, the location is an isolated rural setting we feel your risks are as low as you could hope to find during this crisis. However, in these extraordinary times we felt it might be reassuring to understand what extra measures we are taking to avoid any potential contamination, however unlikely. Check in: We are now operating a remote check-in policy to reduce physical contact. We will phone you on arrival to check you have settled in and briefly run through a verbal meet and greet. We will email instructional video clips to help explain the property in more detail. Unfortunately early check in or late check out will be suspended for the time being as we need all available time to carry out the additional cleaning. Keys should be left in the door and will also be throughly cleaned. Cleaning: We have always felt a little uncomfortable leaving any of the cleaning to anyone else so carry our all cleaning ourselves (and have done for some time) this gives us the peace of mind that no corners have been cut and the high standards are maintained all times. All laundry is also done in house using anti bacterial additive. The idea being the fewer people involved the lower the risk. For extra security all cleaning is now carried out while wearing rubber gloves and a surgical mask just incase we are carrying the virus and are not yet showing any symptoms. Between every guest we: Fully deep clean the property. Anti bacterial or bleach products used on all cleanable surfaces with extra care taken with all handles, cupboard doors, taps, switches and tv controls etc. All floors cleaned and treated with anti bacterial products. Throws and cushion cases washed. Cushions, sofa and rugs sprayed with anti bacterial solution. Pillows, duvet and mattress sprayed with anti bacterial solution. Hot tub: All exterior surfaces cleaned with anti bacterial solution. Filters changed Non chorine shock added Slow release bromine tablets added Advice from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) on any transmission through pools and hot tubs is as follows: “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.” Please note: (Especially returning guests) We have had to drastically reduce the amount of complimentary items we traditionally have provided. All condiments, oils, tea and coffee have now been removed for obvious reasons. We will still limited qualities of dish washer tablets, washing up liquid, toilet rolls and hand wash or soap. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions or need further information, we are more than happy to discuss anything in greater detail as required.
    Set conveniently between north and south coasts and two national parks (Exmoor and Dartmoor) it is an ideal jumping off point for daily adventures. If staying local there are many walks and local pubs to explore. The lovely local town of Wellington enjoys several great cafes a brilliant independent cinema and selection of independent retailers along with a three small supermarkets (including Waitrose)

  • Nos encantó nuestra estancia en el Eden Lodge. Nos quedamos en Navidad y fue la escapada perfecta. Lodge se ve exactamente como se muestra y era encantador y limpio. Nos encontramos con Corinne en el check in que nos mostró los alrededores e incluso nos compró algunos trozos de yule log y pasteles de carne picada, que fue un toque encantador (y estaba muy rico). Al perro le encantó el jardín, que es grande pero seguro, por lo que no tuvimos que preocuparnos de que saliera (es un perro de aguas de Springer, por lo que es bueno en este tipo de cosas), le encantó deambular por el jardín mientras descansamos en la bañera de hidromasaje.     10 minutes from the M5 and an easy drive to both North and South Devon coasts (30-45 mins) The Shed is a set in a secluded part of our garden with beautiful views across the fields and a view of the Culmstock Beacon. It is separate from the house with an en suite shower and toilet, a small kitchen area with fridge-freezer and a patio for your exclusive use. It has underfloor heating. Perfect for couples but a double pull out bed can be provided for children. It has TV and WIFi.
    The Shed is a new build that offers peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. Tea and coffee are provided along with basic cooking equipment. Breakfast is not provided but, at your request, we can supply basics such as fresh bread, marmalade, butter and locally sourced eggs for your arrival. If you don’t feel like getting your own breakfast there is an excellent café/deli 3 minutes walk away that does a very satisfying breakfast. Also excellent for lunch! The local riverside pub is a short 5 minutes’ walk through the village and serves very good food both at lunch time and in the evenings. There are plenty of great walks, or just simple strolls along the river. For cyclists, this is an idyllic location. For example, Beer, on the Jurassic Coast is a 50 mile round trip – also Exmoor and Dartmoor are on the radar for enthusiastic cyclists. There are many shorter round trips to be enjoyed for those who do not want to go so far. Both my husband and I are keen cyclists and would be able to give help and advice on the best local rides. BIkes can be securely housed during your stay. Or simply come and relax, breath in the Devon air and enjoy the peace and quiet of the gorgeous countryside.

Stay in a beautiful house in a friendly village, right in the heart of the picturesque Devon Countryside and the River Culm. It's Perfect for Walking, cycling or simply enjoying our lovely village with its quaint Tea Rooms and cosy pub 5 minutes walk away. Perfect for families, couples or friends.
    We would love to welcome you to join us in a private annex in part of our 400 year old Devonshire house. You will have access to your own separate entrance hallway. There is then a kitchen area for preparing basic meals with a small fridge and microwave along with basic crockery, tea and coffee facilities and a toaster. Should you need anything else I’m sure we can source it for you! The stairs then lead up to a big glamorous large king size room with a king bed and single bed, (a cot bed is also available on request) a dining area with a table and 4 chairs, bathroom with shower and then another double bedroom with a cupboard for hanging and storing clothes. Towels, bedding toiletries,toys and books for the kids are also provided. Friendly Dogs are very welcome to stay providing they have their own bed to sleep in and not the guest beds! We can provide locked bike storage if you are cycling in the area. We don't provide breakfast but there is an award winning Tea rooms 5 minutes walk away that provide an excellent breakfast menu for you to enjoy should you so wish. (It is advisable to book this beforehand if possible, let me know if you require this and I can book it for you) The Culm Valley Inn pub beside the riverbank serve delicious food and Devonshire ales also 5 minutes walk away. (booking advisable) The stunning Jurassic Coast, the quaint seaside resort of Lyme Regis, and Beer are all 30 mins away, Exmoor and Dartmoor about 40 minutes away so its in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area or simply enjoy the beautiful rivers, walks or cycling from our doorstep!

    The Garden room is a very simple light warm space for two people, with its own bathroom and sitting space. Private access is via the garden gate with parking at the front of our house. You are welcome to share the garden, chickens, and our very bouncy dog Ruby. An excellent opportunity just off the M5 to enjoy the countryside, local pub (across the road), and friendly people. There are endless walks along the river often rewarded in seeing a kingfisher or maybe an otter.
    The garden room has underfloor heating with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the birds in the garden. Although we are situated in the middle of the village the garden is very quiet. There is tea and coffee making equipment, plus a small fridge. I have recently added a desk to the room, making an excellent work space.The local pub and shop both sell excellent food, including a slap up breakfast; both are a very easy walk.
    Culmstock is situated just off the M5 and is a brilliant stop over on any journey. Easy access to the south Devon coast, Exmoor and many other beautiful locations. If you wish to spend sometime exploring the countryside or just chilling out, it’s the place for you.

    This cosy, spacious apartment forms part of The Old Butchers - a large property home to an arts and crafts studio. We are located in the heart of Uffculme, a pretty village with two pubs, a café, fish and chips bar and two local shops. The area is great for dog walking, hiking, fishing and cycling with the river Culm close by. Uffculme is close to junction 27 and mid distance between Exeter and Taunton with a nearby rail link at Tiverton Parkway.
    The flat at The Old Butchers is a self-contained annexe with an entrance via the craft studio at the front of the property. Don’t feel shy about looking around the studio! You’re welcome to use the extra space for colouring or other crafty pastimes!
    Our village has a square with a cafe and a Co-op where everyone parks! The centre features little cottages that meander through narrow roads, past a medieval church and down to the river Culm. An old working wool museum named Coldharbour Mill is just a short walk from the property down an old mineral line.

Situated in the lee of Penncross Hill, just outside of the village of Hemyock, Sunnybank commands stunning views of the Culm Valley and surrounding Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sunnybank is located near enough Hemyock for convenient access to its shops, pubs and amenities but far enough away to make this a secluded rural retreat ideal for a peaceful holiday. Sunnybank has been furnished to a very high standard with all the needs of holiday guests in mind. There is an open-plan sitting room, dining area and kitchen opening out onto one of the two garden patios, ideal for relaxed holiday living. There are 4 spacious bedrooms 2 with en suite shower rooms and 2 share a large family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. This self-catering villa offers light and airy accommodation all on one level (apart from one step into and out of the dining area) and would make an ideal venue for a family get-together or celebration. There is full central heating backed-up by a woodburner in the sitting room and a Rayburn in the kitchen (this is turned off during the summer). Hot water is provided on demand. The property offers a high standard of quality accommodation with modern furnishings throughout.     Situated in a quiet cul de sac the accommodation offers a double room in a private house. Access to a private toilet but the rest of the house will be shared . There is parking off street and a lovely garden to enjoy in the summer months. The house is within 10 minutes walk of the centre of Wellington, a beautiful town with much to offer in the way of independent shops. Just 3miles from Junction 26 on the M5, 8 miles from and 25 miles from Exeter. Excellent road and rail connections.
    Guests can expect a warm welcome, a safe and secluded environment and are free to come and go as they choose. This is a non-smoking household which does house an elderly dog, Bobby, who is a gentle, and somewhat deaf, dog.
    Wellington is home to many independent shops, a beautiful park, the nature reserve at Wellington Basins and, obviously, the tallest three sided obelisk in the world! The Wellington Monument, currently being restored by the National Trust. Wellington also has a community hospital and is just 20 minutes drive from Musgrove Hospital in Taunton.

    We offer you a bright, newly converted barn, overlooking fields and lovely Somerset countryside with views overlooking the Quantock Hills and the Blackdown Hills. Open plan downstairs with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. Seperate downstairs toilet. Kitchen is equipped with washing machine, microwave etc and linen and towels. Two bedrooms, one with a Kingsize bed, the other a double. Outside has roomy parking and a patio with seating which catches the sun.
    Highfield Barn is newly converted from its previous use as a sheep shed many years ago. The views sweep across fields to the Blackdown Hills, Culmstock Beacon, Wellington Monument and the Quantocks. Lying in bed you have the Quantock Hills and Brendon Hills in one direction and Culmstock Beacon in the other from a vantage point! Although Highfield Barn is complete and ready to be enjoyed, on other parts of the property a small amount of landscaping and tree planting is waiting to be completed. This is outside of the boundaries of the barn and we are planning this will be done in the spring and it will be even better still!
    Although we are in the countryside there is easy access to the Quantocks, Brendon Hills and Exmoor as well as Culmstock Beacon and Blackdown Hills on the doorstep and Wellington Monument. The towns of Wellington, Tiverton, Honiton and Taunton are within easy reach. Wellington, being only five minutes drive, has many good eating places, supermarkets and local shops. Visit the museum for local history and there is also the famous Sheppy’s Cider to enjoy. Many footpaths surround the area. The local Pub is half a mile away offering good food. We are situated in the middle of both coasts so only 45 minutes drive to Watchet and equally to Lyme Regis.

    This is a quirky cottage, around four hundred years old, which in centuries past was integral with our own house. It is now newly renovated, updated and ready for self-catering guests with very flexible accommodation. There are two double (optional twin) bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower wet room. The fully converted loft is ideal for children and young people (access from the staircase is height-restricted but the room is fully accessible for the able) and will accommodate three (or more) children/teens with no difficulty. The loft is great for children and we are happy to discuss a special price for their stay in the loft room. There is a large wetroom bathroom with a walk-in shower and full bath. On the ground floor is a large living room/dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with seating and table. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for a few days to a couple of weeks stay. In addition to store cupboard basics (cereals, jam, teas, coffee) we will supply a breakfast welcome pack of fresh bread, butter, milk, yoghurt, juice, eggs and bacon to get you started. Outside, large carriage gates give access from the road to the back door of Cadbury Cottage and the secluded, walled courtyard beyond. The courtyard is shared with us and with any guests resident in Courtyard Cottage, another one bedroom cottage attached to the other end of Cadbury House.     We live in one of the most popular villages in the area, on the edge of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the River Culm winds under a highly photogenic stone built bridge, next to which you'll find The Culm Valley Inn, excellent for food, beers, live music from time to time and all round good company. We have a superb deli and shop too, The Strand Stores, where you can shop for any basics you need or get a great cooked breakfast from 8.00 Mon-Sat, 9.30 on Sunday, if you don't feel like cooking for yourself. There are really good walks up and down the river, or up to Culmstock Beacon, one of the best preserved of the Armada Beacons (Grade 1 listed monument), with opportunities for other walks further into the Blackdown Hills. This is also a very popular cycling area and we have plenty of dry, secure storage for your bikes. Get in the car and you can be at South Devon's World Heritage Jurassic coast or on the North Somerset coast in 40 - 45 mins. Alternatively head for National Parks, Exmoor (around 40 mins away), or Dartmoor (about an hour). There are several historical monuments and National Trust properties not far away too.

My stairs are quite steep, so please be aware if booking with small children or others who might find that difficult!
    This is a really good place to use as a stop off if you are heading down to Devon or Cornwall, being close to the M5 (j26) and between 2 and 3 hours from London and the Midlands. It's also a good base to explore the lovely local Blackdown Hills, and not too far from Dorset and North Devon coasts, and Dartmoor.

La comunicación fue rápida cada vez, y la limpieza a mitad de semana fue un placer inesperado. Las vistas del paisaje desde arriba eran particularmente encantadoras. En cuanto a la ubicación, fue perfecto para nosotros: casi equidistante de la parte occidental de Dorset y la Costa Jurásica, y de cada una de las hermosas costas de Devon (norte y sur). Desayuno incluido; Nos encantó el pan recién horneado y la deslumbrante variedad de mermeladas caseras. ¡Tuvimos la suerte de conocer a la última camada de cachorros de Labrador por la mañana, que fueron absolutamente MAGNÍFICOS!     The Roost is accessed via curved garden steps which lead to a stable door. The main room is spacious, light and airy with comfy sofa and dining table. Enjoy breakfast at the large balcony window opening straight onto the neighbouring fields. The contemporary and stylish kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with small freezer compartment. The bathroom has a large walk-in power shower with twin heads. The roomy bedroom has fitted wardrobes with more field views to the nearby woods. We use ecological products as much as possible and reduce or recycle where we can. Outside, you have a private balcony and deck that is just perfect for sundowners. We start you off with a pint of local milk, teas, coffee and cereals but let us know if you would prefer non-dairy milk. Underneath the loft is a secure garage space with washer, dryer and sink. Just perfect for storing your bike or classic car, surfboards or boat.
    Hemyock and Culmstock both have pubs that serve fabulous food, and there are many others just a few miles away. Breakfast at The Strand in Culmstock is highly recommended. There is a working woollen mill museum at Uffculme - 5 miles away and the tow-path of the peaceful Grand Western Canal is nearby.

You’ll love our peaceful neighbourhood, comfy bed, kitchen & great breakfast. It suits couples, solo adventurers, business travellers & families. Please note we welcome well-behaved pets but the bedrooms are generally kept as a pet-free zone for hygiene reasons. Please let us know in advance if you hope to bring your pet.
    You are welcome to share our living spaces if you wish, but equally we are happy if you choose to do your own thing. If you would like to meet our livestock /'therapy animals' in training, please ask. Breakfast is on a DIY basis - we will provide you with a wide selection of breakfast items & you are most welcome to help yourself to a cooked or continental breakfast. We would request that you clean up after yourself though. Most dietary requirements can be easily accommodated if you let us know in advance. We would also appreciate if you could let us know if you have any allergies (eg to down pillows / duvets etc)
    Ours is a detached house on a smallholding of 7 acres. We have only one neighbour & the pub is within walking distance. More amenities are available a short drive away (Wellington is 5 miles away & Taunton a 15 minute drive). We enjoy being a countryside venue but with easy access to the motorways. There are great country pubs & local amenities nearby, from Sheppy's cider farm, tea rooms and lovely walks in the Blackdown hills & beyond. A little further afield Totnes, Glastonbury, Wookey hole & Cheddar Gorge are all make great day trips. There's just so much to see & do in this part of the West Country!

  • Una hermosa casa grande convenientemente situada a lo largo de la A38. Perfecto para nosotros con nuestro springer spaniel, Neil había sacado a las ovejas de uno de los potreros para que nuestro loco spaniel pudiera hacer algo de ejercicio después de un largo viaje desde el noroeste. Nuestro perro durmió en la camioneta durante la noche, pero la llevamos a la cocina por la mañana para alimentarla y las mascotas son bienvenidas en el área de la cocina de la casa, que es muy grande. Mucho espacio de estacionamiento seguro para nuestra autocaravana, era ideal para lo que necesitábamos y una buena relación calidad-precio. Un desayuno de autoservicio se dejó las dos mañanas y fue suficiente para comenzar el día con muchos tés y café. Hay gatos en la casa pero apenas los vimos, aunque nuestro perro intentó saludar (sin éxito :-) Mern es muy sociable y una dama encantadora, muy amable y conversadora. Neil es un poco más reservado, pero siempre estuvo allí para saludarnos y asegurarse de que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos. Recomendamos una buena estadía, especialmente si tiene mascotas que necesitan hacer ejercicio en un ambiente seguro después de un largo viaje en automóvil.

  • Absolutamente fabulosos anfitriones! Me alojé con Mern y Neil con un par de amigos debido a asistir a una boda cerca. Sinceramente, no me puedo quejar del lugar y realmente superó todas las expectativas. Nos permitieron hacer el check in temprano y no tuvimos problemas para que volviéramos después de la medianoche.     Sampford Peverell is situated just off the M5 motorway, the A361 link road to North Devon and a 20 min walk to Tiverton Parkway railway station. You'll find a friendly welcome at our house, which used to be part of an old pub in days gone by. Now it is home to Rob and Claire, two cats and some chickens in our spacious garden.
    You'll have access to the shared kitchen, living room, bathroom and spacious garden.
    Sampford Peverell is picturesque, close knit village that is conveniently located for transport. We are situated a 2 minute walk away from the beautiful grand western canal where you can enjoy quiet and long walks and/or bike rides. There is a local bike hire facility across the road. There are two pubs situated a stones throw from the house that serve local ales and food. There is also a SPAR shop in the village, as well as a farm shop near the railway station for amenities. Parking is available near the house.

    Our place is close to great views, restaurants and dining, and family-friendly activities. It is perfectly located for exploring the gems of the West Country. You’ll love our peaceful neighbourhood, comfy bed, kitchen & great breakfast. It suits couples, solo adventurers, business travellers & families. Please note we welcome well-behaved pets but the bedrooms are generally kept as a pet-free zone for hygiene reasons. Please let us know in advance if you hope to bring your pet.
    You are welcome to share our living spaces if you wish, but equally we are happy if you choose to do your own thing. If you would like to meet our livestock /'therapy animals' in training, please ask. Breakfast is on a DIY basis - we will provide you with a wide selection of breakfast items & you are most welcome to help yourself to a cooked or continental breakfast. We would request that you clean up after yourself though. Most dietary requirements can be easily accommodated if you let us know in advance. We would also appreciate if you could let us know if you have any allergies (eg to down pillows / duvets etc)
    Ours is a detached house on a smallholding of 7 acres. We have only one neighbour & the pub is within walking distance. More amenities are available a short drive away (Wellington is 5 miles away & Taunton a 15 minute drive). We enjoy being a countryside venue but with easy access to the motorways. There are great country pubs & local amenities nearby, from Sheppy's cider farm, tea rooms and lovely walks in the Blackdown hills & beyond. A little further afield Totnes, Glastonbury, Wookey hole & Cheddar Gorge are all make great day trips. There's just so much to see & do in this part of the West Country!

  • Mern y Neil son excelentes anfitriones y me hicieron sentir muy bienvenido, siempre dispuesto a conversar, compartir su conocimiento local, ofrecer una taza de té o presentarle las Alpacas, etc. La habitación, el baño y los espacios compartidos estaban limpios y espaciosos. , tranquilo y confortable La ubicación es perfecta si desea un lugar tranquilo y bien ubicado para explorar el campo y las ciudades circundantes, o como una parada en el camino hacia el sudoeste. El desayuno en el conservatorio fue el mejor que he tenido en mucho tiempo, con una excelente selección que abarca desde bayas frescas y yogures, varios panes, quesos y embutidos, hasta tocino y huevos que desee. Muy recomendable, y sin duda me alojaría de nuevo.
