What a beautiful spot! Great view from deck, kitchen and hot tub of the volcano and loved having a few different spots to relax depending on time of day. Good distance to the volcano for hiking but also the amenities of the house were great, as well as neighbouring highland cows!

Louise and Dick are fantastic hosts! Super kind, generous and engaging. Their home is lovely…the bed is very comfortable for a good sleep. Easy walk to town to go on the Lost World Adventures or have a good meal. Highly recommended to travelers! It’s a fun stay!

Very nice couple that allowed us to help ourselves as needed, using the kitchen space and sitting areas before themselves. Nice to have breakfast available in the morning and the hot tub was a nice perk. The view was amazing and the lake was easily accessible with a 5 minute walk.

Diane and Hamish were wonderful hosts and had lots of helpful information about the area. The accommodation was warm, thoughtfully equipped with everything you could think of. Highlights were the nighttime spa underneath the stars and breakfast outside in the sun listening to birdsong.

What a fantastic place!!! Lynn has made her air bnb very welcoming and cosy, with all the necessary amenities. The cedar hot tub was perfect to relax in after a big day hiking. Would gladly stay again.

If there was a best host award, Richard would win it hands down. In fact he’d probably be too humble to accept. It’s rare to find someone who is so welcoming and cares so much about you and your stay. A stay at Richard’s is all that any AirBnB can aspire to be and I look forward to staying again. PERFECT.

Martin n'a pas pu nous accueillir lui-même, mais il nous a laissé des instructions très claires et nous a fait confiance. Nous avons pu choisir notre chambre, celle - ci était spacieuse avec un accès sur une très belle terrasse. Le coffre au pied du lit et les lampes de chevet sont du plus bel effet. Enfin, le libre accès à la cuisine est vraiment appréciable. Nous recommandons ce B&B.

Tony was an amazing host, with excellent knowledge and recommendations for the area. He helped us find some great alternatives for a rainy afternoon and was such a lovely person to have a chat with over morning coffee. Plus he puts together a stellar and thoughtful breakfast. Would absolutely choose to stay at Tony’s again.

This has been my favourite place to stay so far In New Zealand . Denise and Ian made the stay very comfortable and almost like a Home away from home . A lovely breakfast is served every morning with products from the garden and homemade sourdough bread. The bedroom was beautiful and spacious . There is a gorgeous view of the lake from the bedroom especially in the morning ! An easy 50 minute drive to the alpine crossing ! Would definitely recommend staying here !

The Inn At The Convent - Sleigh bed

Our B & B is close to All the tourist attractions, rail trail, cycling, golf course, 40 minutes from National Park, close to public transport, the town centre. You will enjoy the The beautiful old convent built in 1916. Spacious, high ceilings, warm and welcoming with hosts who are well travelled and will do all they can to make your stay a memorable experience. Our B & B is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

A great little getaway just for you.

We spent the Easter weekend at Brett and Penny’s beautiful home. The neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful and downhill you can find a kayak hire place for a paddle in the lake. Communication with Brett and Penny was on point, with helpful information and instructions. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and with a great hot water pressure. We also used the hot pool after long days of cycling. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a restful holiday in Taupō.

Don’t hesitate to book this little gem. Everything was perfect, so clean and the bed very comfortable. The hostess was very quick to respond and from day one we booked till departure it went smoothly. I totally recommend !! The view is outstanding and the breakfast was really a great plus !

This place is well worn, but comfy and the host extremely warm and welcoming. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the shared showers and toilets, and the mound of fluffy white towels that were provided. Great atmosphere, with guests from 4 countries sitting around exchanging experiences long into the evening. 100% would stay here again.
