I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

It was a great location for a beautiful getaway. The home was very cozy and as described. The host was very informative, proactive, and friendly. We would highly recommend!.

We had a great time at Stacey’s place. Her home was very relaxing, a quick walk to the lake and dog-friendly—which is huge. Everyone in the area was friendly and respectful. We enjoyed spending time at the maplehurst dock, in the backyard at the bonfire pit under the tall trees and bistro lights, and relaxing inside playing games and watching shows. From s’mores ingredients and condiments to paper products and bath essentials, the house had all the extras that lots of other rentals ask you to bring. If you’re going to be staying during a hot week (above 80), we recommend bringing an extra fan for the main space. Otherwise, the windows kept the place cool and comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again.

Absolutely a beautiful place to stay, would recommend to anyone!! Very responsive to any questions, beds were good, very clean home! Would love to see it in the summer, stayed in November.. ORV trails not too far, restaurants kinda close.. No complaints!

We secured a cabin with Whitetail Family Resort on short notice due to family circumstances. The booking was swift and simple with quick responses from Tom and his crew. The cabin was very accommodating, especially for having two dogs. Good pricing for a nice scenic view of Houghton Lake North Bay. It was a clean cabin and was more spacious than the pictures show. We added another day at ease with a discounted price. I recommend these cabins to anyone else with a family and dogs.

We had a great weekend at Roseann‘s place on the lake snowmobiling access to restaurants access to the lake. It was just a great time. Everything we needed was in the home and the home was beautiful. Thank you, Roseann.

Our first time to Houghton Lake and Heidi's home was perfect for our stay. My husband and I and our two pups really found all the comforts of home and in such a gorgeous setting! The bed was comfortable with plenty of linens. The kitchen well stocked with all you need to cook a meal. The games and cd collection ... so fun! The property and lake view, incredible! Sitting by the fire, listening to the waves and watching the sunset every night was the best. The area was great. We ate at Randy's a few times and grabbed some seafood while listening to the band at the Shrimp Shack. We rented a pontoon from Brian's Lakeside Marina, took the dogs swimming at both South and North Higgins Lake State Park and took the hour drive to Traverse City. So much fun packed into a long weekend with the perfect home to come back to! Heidi was so accomodating, responsive and just a pleasure to chat with. I highly recommend her gorgeous home!

we really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Kevin was a wonderful host and had great communication with us the entirety of our stay. home was a charming, perfect get away for our family of 5 and neighborhood was kind and quiet. a couple things I didn't quite grasp until communicated: the home doesn't have AC but host provided a couple games on stands that were very helpful. if you're there on a hot week, bring a couple more. also, there is a public boat launch and dock- which you can swim off of, but not an actual beach. we opted to make the 8 min. drive and go to the s. state park. all in all, wonderful time and would 100% stay again. thanks!!!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute little cabin. It's well equipped and bed and couch were very comfortable. It's in a quiet location close to the lake and many good restaurants. We rode the ATV trails in the area. Access to the garage was valuable to us to keep some extra equipment.

My stay was so great! Best of all worlds- clean place, perfect location to hit the awesome ORV trails, relaxing atmosphere during down times and close to town. The host was super responsive and accommodating- I will definitely book this again!

Kellie’s an amazing host made our check in easy and she was very accommodating even with us booking just hours before our last minute trip to go trail riding between us forgetting to pack coffee which she had covered with her nice selection of Keurig coffee cups and a fully stocked kitchen for any cooking needs, the beds are very comfy this cozy cabin makes you feel right at home

Beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet. The cottage was incredibly clean and welcoming. There are several restaurants close by. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest and unwind, I would highly recommend staying here.

Melissa did a nice job and everything was as presented. She provides good communication and instructions were right on. We were golfing at Forest Dunes so the location was perfect. Local restaurants and pizzeria nearby as well as a nice grill for steaks. The place suited our needs perfectly.

We had another great time with my brothers and a few close friends for our annual ice fishing getaway. This house fits our needs perfectly. It was a very snowy weekend, but was still able to get out and ice fish and enjoy the Houghton Lake area! I would highly recommend this home when visiting the Houghton Lake area.

Great home to host our work girls trip. We had a relaxing weekend with the wood fireplace and watched movies. Boyne is about an hour away so it was a beautiful scenic drive. Beds are super comfortable with lots of space. Kitchen well equipped with everything needed.

We enjoyed our stay. I loved the bed, it was very comfortable, and we slept in everyday. The place is well organized and very clean . I hope to return soon.

From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. We really appreciated the coffee and snacks Wendy had on hand since we hadn’t been to the store yet. The place is very cozy and comfortable. My husband had to be on some work calls so we really appreciated the fast WiFi. Overall, we had a great stay and we absolutely stay here again.
