Moving in 1998 to Mineral de Pozos, Susan designed and built the renowned Casa Montana Hotel and restaurant on the Jardin Principal. The hotel was sold to new owners in 2009. As the first North American to settle in Pozos she says she has “seen Pozos grow by leaps and bounds” since first coming here. The large number of tourist including a great many foreign nationals has given rise to several art galleries, restaurants and boutiques in the town center. Over the years, Susan has built a great reputation with the locals and is considered one of the matriarchs of Pozos.
