Acceso para huéspedes
The Crossing Retreat would ideally suit a couple or an individual who wants to enjoy the countryside whilst staying in modern accommodation that has a quirky twist. It has a wide screen projector, cinema sound, wifi, PlayStation 4 and an LED lit pool table. The well equipped kitchen contains an electric hob, with a microwave which has a grill and convection oven (there is also a panini toaster as well as a slow cooker). There are uninterrupted views of the surrounding fields from the butler sink in the kitchen and courtyard garden. The large L-shaped couch converts easily into a comfortable superking bed. There is a bathroom with an old fashioned pull chain toilet, sink and a shower. The front of the Crossing opens out into its own private courtyard garden via a 5 door bi-folding door. The garden contains a table and chairs, BBQ, views of the surrounding fields, a lantern lit herb garden and private access to a parking space. There is a superb array of excellent pubs/ restaurants in the local area which we are more than happy to recommend.

Ubicación

Tunstead, Norwich, Reino Unido

Tunstead has many traffic free walks/ cycle routes and a very cute watering hole which welcomes passers by with home cooked lunches, local ales, cakes and evening meals at the weekend. St Mary church at the end of the lane is a particularly vast church for such a small village, so too is the church at Worstead just 2.5miles away. This village is also host to Titchfest held this year on 25th-26th June and the famous Worstead festival on 30th-31st July.
Hoveton Hall is just around the corner and has some amazing gardens to stroll round. Also very close by is Wroxham Barns which has a farmyard, amusement rides, garden centre, specialist shops and a restaurant (which sells the most amazing full English breakfast!). Further on but still only 3 miles from the cottage is Wroxham, the heart of the broads. There you can hire a boat, canoe, bike or walk along the river sampling the restaurants and cafes. It is also where you can board the Bure Valley Railway, which is Norfolk's longest fifteen inch gauge line running between Wroxham and Aylsham. The 18 mile round trip takes you through the picturesque Bure valley countryside following the river and stops occasionally at small country villages. Also within 3 miles is Coltishall, a lovely village on the river Bure, housing antiques shops and pubs with outdoor seating on the riverside.
You are also only 10 miles from the famous North Norfolk coastline. Whether you're looking for large expanses of sand, walking along sand dunes or marshland, bird/ seal watching or water sports the Norfolk coastline has them all. Just over an hour's drive takes you to Southwold, a typical Victorian seaside town with a modern take on the classic arcades.
We can't not talk about North Norfolk without mentioning the National Trust sites; Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and finally Blakeney Point. We also have some super golf courses which we have played on and will be able to recommend to you.
Finally, the Georgian town of Holt is also not far away and is a must to sample its quirky shops, pubs and galleries.

Hi, We’re Andy and Em and we live at Crossing Cottage in Tunstead our son Herbert, daughter Etta and our 2 friendly cats, Dusty and Lulu. We love the peace and quiet of living in the countryside and the feeling of space it gives you after a day of work. We enjoy gardening and try to use as much home grown produce in our cooking and baking as possible. Andy is an electrician and enjoys getting stuck into any DIY project in his spare time. Em is a private Science, a GCSE and A level examiner as well as running Norfolk Nippers which deliver educational classes for toddlers. Together we like walking, cycling, kayaking and love entertaining. We like to listen to a range of music but especially reggae, funk, soul and jazz. We're both very easy going and friendly people and are always happy to lend a hand to make your stay enjoyable. We look forward to giving you a warm welcome to Crossing Cottage.
