Welcome to the farm, La Republica del Maiz. We work to preserve the indigenous mayan corn species. We open our jungle home to guests, who want to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, explore the unique nature, learn about sustainable living and also importantly; eat incredible food.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We would love to show you our paradise!🏝

El alojamiento
We build with natural materials and you will enjoy the wonders of living in an open house. The main living space has no walls, giving you the constant feeling of being immersed in the beautiful nature that surrounds the house.

Enjoy the simple luxury of stepping out in the garden and picking fresh mangos, coconuts and whatelse we have growing.

We have a modern kitchen with everything that you need. We love to cook at the farm and Victor is a professional chef. A healthy and delicious breakfast is included when staying with us.

The shower is outdoors and great for a refreshingly cold shower in the mid day heat. Or take a hot shower at night, while watching the many stars in the sky.

We also have safety storage for your valuables.

Acceso para huéspedes
All of the property is available to our guests who can use the kitchen and the other public areas as well.

Otros aspectos destacables
We have bad phone reception and no internet connection at the farm. But a wifi-spot can be reached within 3 minutes of walking

Instead of a flushing toilet, we have a sustainable dry compost toilet, which produces fantastic fertilizer that we can use in our garden.

Ubicación

José María Morelos, Quintana Roo, México

Our farm is located in the outskirts of a small village called El Naranjal in the heart of Yucatan, 15 km away from jose maria morelos, you can find us on google maps like the republic of corn, Here it is very quiet and peaceful.

The village has a couple of small convenience stores and it is often possible to buy delicious home-cooked foods, i.e. Cochinita Pibil and tamales from the locals.

Around the area is some of the most biodiverse rainforest in the world, and you will often encounter exotic flora and fauna. We also have cenotes and mayan ruins close by.
