A great stay with my wife and baby. A bit warm on our arrival but plenty of pedestal fans in the accomodation as well as big windows to open up. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay for a good get away.

Pictures describe this place accurately. Two great sized living areas one up and one down. Upstairs master bedroom has its own private entry to the deck which is the star of the property. The deck is fantastic and despite being on a relatively busy corner surrounded by other properties you feel like you are all on your own in the bush canopy surrounded by trees with frequent visits from native birds including the resident Kookaburra. We were a large group and had a fantastic stay, property has everything you might need kitchen wise to cook a meal which is appreciated. Check in and checkout was simple with the lockbox. Only downside is that the property is a little dated particularly the bathrooms and the floor was a little dusty but probably par for the course in the off season. Fantastic stay and great value.

Excellent and charming character airbnb- with an ambient feel of relaxation and outdoor beauty inside. Lots of amazing ways to relax (games, rest, movies) and enjoy the time with family. A beautiful location and cottage close to the beach! Highly recommend.

The house was so lovely and the views were amazing. With a balcony upstairs and one downstairs we could always see the water. The rooms were a great size. The entire house felt so comfortable. If you were looking at somewhere to stay on Russell Island, this would be amazing. So relaxing! Thankyou Patsy! Regards Harry and Julie

We really enjoyed our stay. Walking into the house was a pleasant surprise, with the house being much nicer thank the photos! The house was very comfortable. It was great to be able to bring our dog, too, with a secure garden. We would definitely come back. Thank you.

What a beautiful place for a great price, super close to the beach and loved how upstairs and downstairs was split giving everyone there space

We had a great time at Pat’s retreat. The house had everything we needed for a family beach holiday with our dog. It is very well-equipped and comfortable. The location is close to everything in Point Lookout- beaches, shops, and walkable to the start of North Gorge walk. We only used the car to transport all our beach gear down but you can certainly walk to everything. For us, Straddie is not a place to go when you want good Internet access. It is a place to have good nature based quality time with the family. We love having no Wifi and being able to switch off. There was enough mobile data to check the weather and the ferry timetable. Wonderful spot out of the "township" not far from the best park. Lovely house, spotless ... only thing lacking was attention to inhouse supplies (toilet paper, dishwashing liquid) ... neither of which we wanted to run out of! These probably needs to be religiously checked when cleaning. Otherwise, top spot, top house, top owner. Didn't bring the pet in the end but shecat would have been comfortable and it was really helpful having the option. Thanks Cynthia! Marie and Morgy

Nice and cosy place close to Coles and other takeaway shops. very enjoyed staying there.

Olivia was very responsive and always helpful, she even left a bottle of wine upon arrival which was a nice surprise

Great location close to all amenities, description of home very accurate, outdoor area around pool had the loveliest plush lawn, perfect for our grandson to run around on, very private in back yard. Had extra granny flat attached to the home, although we did not utilise it, would be helpful for a larger family or grandparents, nice host to deal with. Overall had a nice relaxing break.

Thanks for a wonderful time. We 2 young kids it was perfect for playing inside and out. The crabbing & yabbie beach was 20m away. And that was after one hour playing in the bath. (So few places have them) We were able to cook a full breki and spread out. It had everything we needed- no scrimping. René provided everything - coffee, bread, milk, butter , jams, porridge etc!! There were soaps, shampoos, washing powder, cleaning stuff . If it wasn’t there you could just ask. Rene’s house in front was also part of his Airbnb and had lots of individual rooms to rent with a huge palatial bright living room /kitchen with bay view. It was a great place to relax if you like a chat. Thanks René

Thank you Zoe. We and our two small doggies had a wonderful time staying at your place. We did a lot of walking and found that location was within distance between Wynnum and Manly. Moreton bay certainly lives to is reputation with plenty of cafes and nice eateries. Very comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend Zoe’s place in future and also we hope to come and stay again. Highly recommended. Great place to stay with pet. Vikki offered private yards for my dogs to run and toilet. One fenced yard is connected to the bedroom. The other fenced garden allows my dogs to run around. Very private and quiet. plus wildlife just right outside of the property. spacious living area with separated living room and bedroom. super worth it.

Well this is a great little find for a couple or two people…. Suuuccch a cute cabin Krill has created…. , the minute you walk through the white picket fence and onto the cute front patio you see passionfruit vines and rosemary…. You walk inside and the compact yet cosy interior is a soothing sight. Then wander out to the back deck to see the beautiful shoreline and as a bonus, native beehive! We also made use of the firepit and kayaks. The shops and cafes are a short walk yet you are surrounded by birds, peace and quiet away from any hustle. A perfect getaway spot for anyone interested in recharging and removing yourself from all the clamour. We had a great Easter.!! Thankyou!

We had a great time at Jocelyn’s house. It felt very homely and we laughed all the extra attention to detail. Jocelyn takes a lot of pride in this house and we felt super relaxed. Thank you for a great day.

Spacious and clean unit with everything you need, and a backyard which is convenient if you are travelling with pets. Easy check in and check out processes Would recommend!

It was an amazing stay with a large group and satisfied all our needs from being private, to having many activities to do staying on a beautiful island. It was such a great experience for everyone and we will definitely be recommending Paul’s accommodation to everyone we know if they are in need of a good weekend away to rest, recuperate, rejuvenate, be refreshed and to enjoy some me time with the family and extended family. We had a group of 23 and there was plenty of room for the adults, teenagers and young children.

The cottage is one street back from the beach, and close to all amenities. It has everything you might need. The kitchen is fully kitted out with appliances, pans and utensils. High enough on the hill and with plenty of windows to catch the sea breezes, and close enough to hear the waves. It is comfortable, cosy, breezy and well positioned, perfect for our Straddie interlude. Certainly a place we will go back to.
