Wir hatten als 4-Köpfige Familie einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt bei Swin. Die Unterkunft ist geschmackvoll und außergewöhnlich vom Design. Die Umgebung sehr ruhig und naturbelassen. Wir konnten die Spielgeräte mit benutzen und unser Sohn spielte Fußball mit dem Sohn der Gastgeber. Dadurch fühlten wir uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Beachten sollte man die herausfordernde Anfahrt. Wie Swin auch hinweist, ist mindestens ein SUV erforderlich. 20 Minuten Bergauf über Stock und Stein. Zum Glück waren wir für 2 Tage mit Essen ausgestattet, sodass wir nicht nochmal ins Dorf mussten und so die Ruhe voll ausnutzen konnten. Bringt Insektenspray mit. Es gibt doch einige Miskotos.

This house is truly unique and absolutely beautiful. It is secluded, safe and private with fantastic views up into the trees all around. We heard and saw many beautiful birds including a pair of red macaws who visited everyday. Also humming birds, toucans, vultures, spider monkeys every day, coatis, lesser anteater, poison dart frogs, lizards and heard howler monkeys and got a brief glimpse of one in the distance. They can sound quite scary but they are not threatening at all. A key feature (see photos) is that there are no windows or doors in this place so be prepared for nature to have full access! There is also a nice lookout platform with a wonderful view of the sea- it is also a bit cooler up there in the wood. Carlos is a fantastic host, very inspiring and generous with his time. He will tell you with enormous enthusiasm about nature all around. A lady comes to clean most days and also gave wonderful massages. We all had a truly fantastic stay! Don't miss it- highly recommend

Beautiful grounds, comfortable and well furnished space. Just one caution for taller guests - things are geared toward those of standard height. Not really a drawback or a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. We’d happily stay here again next time we’re in the area!

For us city dwelles from germany, the stay in this little paradise was adventurous and beautiful. Being so close to nature is a wonderful feeling. Thank you for the great accommodation, which leaves nothing to be desired. Pura Vida

we just got back from Madre Selva and I am not sure I can find the words. Unique, peaceful, private and the most beautiful location with unforgettable views of jungle, whale's tail beach, ocean and sunrises. The house has everything you need and more. Carolina and her husband are the nicest and the most welcoming people and their breakfasts and dinners were so delicious. They took a such good care of us, organizing everything and helping us with everything we needed. we felt right at home the moment we arrived. Amazing memories ❤️ thank you so much! Pura Vida 🌴

Amazing place, close to 2 incredible waterfalls. The architecture design is interesting! the shower definitely needs work and there are details to be finish but it’s not a big deal. The cabin is next to a hotel with an amazing cafeteria so that’s a plus although you will hear the workers around the house occasionally, so it’s not like you are completely isolated (in case that’s what you are after) The kitchen is fully stocked, if you like cooking with a view this is your place, I saw a green toucan while cooking and it was amazing. The deck is a birdwatcher paradise ! Fully recommended. If you want a cozy experience and explore one of the last pristine towns in Costa Rica this is a great place to stay !

From the moment we arrived, they spared no expense in making us feel right at home by explaining all the features and amenities, providing us with a reservoir of information on local activities and for always being accessible. The inclusive daily breakfast was deliciously unforgettable, especially the homemade sourdough avocado toast and açaí bowl. We slept like babies every night and relished the breathtaking views. Marie also offers a morning yoga class which was the perfect way to start off the day. We genuinely enjoyed every second and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be immersed with nature.

We spent three unforgettable days in this bungalow — it truly felt like stepping into a small tropical paradise. The place strikes the perfect balance between comfort, privacy, and a deep connection with nature. The bungalow itself is cozy, clean, and well-equipped. We saw macaws, hummingbirds and other birds, Howler monkeys and adorable agoutis wandering peacefully nearby. It was an incredible way to experience wildlife up close, without crowds or noise — just us, the animals, and the sounds of the jungle. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking for tranquility, inspiration, and a real sense of being immersed in nature. We left with full hearts and a strong desire to return. Thank you for such a special experience — one we’ll remember for a long time!🤩
