Cozy and quiet in the beautiful countryside. The house was comfortable and filled with nice amenities. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Sara was an amazing host. Our entire stay she went above and beyond to welcome us, and assure our stay was pleasant. The barn apartment was beautiful. Extremely clean and very homey. We enjoyed the beautiful country scenery and all the local recommendations from restaurants, shopping, and exploring as well as all the amenities the house had to offer. We can’t wait to stay again!

We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Barn Loft. Andrea and Steve are gracious hosts. Prior to our arrival, we received information to prepare for our stay. We received timely communication on the date of our arrival. The property is even better than the pictures display. We truly felt welcome and at home. The furnishings are cozy and the beds are so comfortable. Our family enjoyed meeting the hosts, exploring the property, and the opportunity to rest and to relax in such a beautiful scenic area. We appreciated the fact that our dog could accompany us on this trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to returning.

The cottage is beautiful, tranquil, and very comfortable - a one of a kind place. The history of the cottage is very interesting and was part of our wonderful stay there. We, along with our guests with four legs, relished walking the serene property. David was a great host - very helpful, responsive, and nice to work with. We look forward to returning.

We wanted a last minute hike and a place to stay nearby. There wasn't a lot left that wasnt booked up and there were many places that charged $60-$100 cleaning fees making the total close to $100 more than the actual nightly price listed. That was not the case here. This place was absolutely beautiful. It was easy to find and we felt right at home inside. Communication was excellent and while we mostly hung out inside after our long hike, there is plenty to do on this farm! I would recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be staying again.

Hidden Gem definitely deserves its name! Beautiful views with things to do in the area. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our weekend getaway!!

We truly enjoyed our weekend at "Idyllic Mountain Home - Dog Friendly/great views"! It was all of that and more! Charlotte provided detailed info on how to run the wood stove (early March can get chilly) and we were warm and cozy on both levels all weekend. Other info about the house was very detailed. Our two corgis loved wandering around the property, which is elevated and very private! We took a hike with them on Saturday off of Skyline Drive, which was only about a half hour away; lovely! Dinner Saturday night was a milestone birthday celebration at The Inn at Little Washington, and it was worth the splurge! There's a small area near the bedroom where we set up the dogs crates and they were very comfy while we were gone. I highly recommend Charlotte's home for a weekend getaway!!

It was a beautiful place. Lots of space and a peaceful place to sit and relax and enjoy the quiet area. Host were responsive and gave clear instructions on how to check in and out!

The Carriage House is the most peaceful place I have ever stayed in Lancaster County, PA (I have been visiting the area for over 40 years). The photographs of the property are stunning, but do not compare to the serenity we felt while visiting there. Even the decor was tranquil. Many hours were spent on the patio by the fire pit listening to the birds and the occasional Amish buggy going by in the distance. We had a long list of places to visit while in the area, but didn’t want to leave the Carriage House property ! Even though the location is quiet and out in the country, all of the shops and other activities are within a short drive. The Sight and Sound theater is also close by. Kayla is very accommodating, and quick to answer any questions we had. We will definitely return to the Carriage House ~ thank you for offering such a lovely property.

Such a beautiful spot. We looked hard to find an intimate space that also allowed for group family time. This was perfect. The amenities were great and the everything was so beautiful and peaceful

We are absolutely OBSESSED with this place. The silo was everything we imagined and more. The farm animals are literally a few feet away from the front door and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. From riding several miles of bike trails to fishing and boating in the pond, there was never a bored moment. The owners Ashleigh and Mike were super nice and made us feel right at home. This was definitely one of our top spots we’ve stayed at and can’t wait to return in the future!

Our stay at the loft was fantastic, the space was extremely clean and Sarah was extremely responsive and accommodating. We had a great time and would definitely come back. The animals were extremely friendly and were an added bonus to an already great stay!

Had a great at Catherine‘s place for three days! The house is very comfortable, clean, and close to different restaurants/coffee shops/outdoor space. I appreciated the recommendations provided when I got to the house! I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a cute and quaint stay in the Richmond area!

We had such a fun and unique experience. Love the location close to the interstate yet private and safe. The apartment was spacious and clean. Love seeing the animals and the owners were extremely friendly. We will be back

Went with my friend and we found the place very comfortable. The kitchen is very nicely stocked! We brought food so that we could prepare most meals and the kitchen had more than we could ever need by way of kitchen gear! There was also a full stash of coffee, cream, honey and sugar! The location is great. We went to the White's Ferry Brewery that was just down the street and thoroughly enjoyed it! I would strongly recommend a visit. We also walked around the neighborhood to include down to the Potomac! Very nice! We took a day trip to Harper's Ferry (45-min drive) and of course to the little downtown area of Leesburg (7-min drive)! Rita was super responsive and brough us batteries quickly when requested for the remote and a container of eggs from the chickens! The beds are comfortable. I did sleep on the sleeper sofa and while it isn't a typical bed, it was fairly comfortable. Having the animals just below us was really sweet! Loved them all! Enjoyed our visit very much!

We had a wonderful stay!

Anne and Mark's cottage is a very special place. We were impressed with the creative repurposing of an old building, it demonstrates a clever use of space and offers a relaxing and cosy interior design. The location has the best of both worlds, you feel like you are miles away from the madness of humanity but you can get to restaurants and shops in a few minutes. Close by is Giant, a fantastic supermarket for ingredients to cook your own meals or find anything you're missing. The cottage is very close to Longwood Gardens, Winterthur and Mount Cuba gardens. Anne and Mark are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. This is a real treasure in the Brandywine Valley.

Our other reservation canceled on us at the very last minute. We were in a panic but these host accommodated us last minute. We were super grateful. The house was a fun older home. We had one question for the host and they responded in less than 5 minutes. It was the perfect split between Solomon’s and PF for our work trip.

This was our 4th stay and we love coming back. My dog loves it here for many reasons including Jen and Katie, the Gator and the Milkbones! This trip was to celebrate her birthday weekend. She had a blast and I got my fix of nature, bright stars, animals and peace. This place is a treasure and it’s hosts are the best!

It feels like getting a warm hug. The sound of the creek, the dance of wildlife, & the peaceful surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for rest, reflection, & reconnection. We truly loved unwinding in the hot tub under the stars-pure magic. The aptly named Honeymoon Suite was a true sanctuary, the perfect ending to each day. Joan's thoughtful, artistic touch is in everything, & her home has a unique spirit you simply won't find anywhere else. Thank you, Joan for sharing your home!!

The barn is beautiful. Situated on a pond, this place is perfect for families or anyone looking for breath of fresh air. The hosts were extremely communicative and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as smooth as possible. There are many areas of the property to explore - fishing in the pond, chickens, fire pit, and hot tub. The barn itself was very clean and had everything we needed. We will be back!

Kelly and Phil’s cottage is a beautiful getaway! They are exceptional hosts providing fresh fruits and pastries each morning and wonderful conversation as you wonder about their farm. This is such a beautiful, serene property with horses, rolling fields and doggies to greet you each time you arrive back to the cottage. The space is so large but has a very quaint, cozy feel especially at sunset and in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped to cook any meal. We look forward to another visit in the future!

Loved it here! Super cozy & secluded but close to a lot of the main spots in Lynchburg! I bet it’s amazing in the summer!

We had a wonderful time at this cozy space. Greatly appreciate all the small details around the home and the breakfast items we found at our arrival. The banana bread baked by Lew was delicious. The 360 view from any vantage point was unbelievable and mixed with the stormy clouds, made the perfect match for our sketching. A beautiful 20-min. drive from Marshall. Our only wish was spending some more time chatting with the hosts.
