We are repeat guests at Pook's Place, and we're always excited to return. The house, neighborhood, hosts, and location are all great. We'll be returning every year!

Pictures do not do this place justice! The views are absolutely breathtaking! We stayed here with my four kids and they loved being able to just walk across the street to the beach. We also loved waking up to the ocean views. Amy’s place was very clean and the small touches she adds made the experience unforgettable! I would definitely stay again!!

This home exceeded our expectations! The location of this home was just beautiful. The home itself was very roomy yet cozy for 2 families with 3 children to enjoy. It was also super clean. This Airbnb had the best equipped kitchen i’ve ever seen in a rental with plenty of good quality pots, pans, dishes bowls, various glassware for cocktails, and grilling tools. Even plenty of plastic dishes for kids, ziplock bags and plastic wrap! No detail was forgotten. There are plenty of areas to enjoy meals or just hang out inside the house , out on the deck or on the patio. I also wanted to mention there were plenty of towels, extra pillows and bedding for all 7 of us. I didn’t have any issues but reached out to Matthew to let him know we were very pleased with his home and he responded right away. Matthew’s home provided us with the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful family vacation in Emerald Isle and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

This little house was the perfect beach stay. The wrap around deck with steps that lead to the sand, private beach access, and big window views of the ocean were amazing. I will emphasize that it is exactly as advertised, “little house on the beach” with one shared bathroom, 2 small bedrooms, and a living room/kitchen this is a perfect spot for a couple, small family, or just a few adults. If you’re trying to save and fit more the beds will accommodate just want to caution it will be cramped! The house was spotless and stocked with everything we needed.

Huset er pent og rent, med gode fasiliteter. Stille område. Kort vei til stranden. Det er et trivelig spisested med enkel meny 150 meter unna, og en lokal bar 700-800 meter unna. 10-15 minutter kjøring unna, har man mange restauranter og en del butikker. Dette er et fint sted for ferierende, og fungerer også greit om man er i Lejune.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for comfort. We used every deck! Super close to the beach, beautiful peaceful view of the sound. It had everything we could possibly need. Karen sent recommendations for food and they did not disappoint! Loved our stay!

This place was exactly as listed. The access to the beach made it so easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely return.

Will visit again! The location can’t get any better if you want to be right on the beach when you open the backdoor.

Claudia was very friendly and responsive. Our place was clean, nice decor, comfortable seating and bedding, easy and walkable distance to beach and local restaurants and shops, to name just a few. We enjoyed our mini “resort” like vacay!

We had a fantastic stay at Erin and Jeremy's place over Easter weekend. Everything was as described and Erin and Jeremy were very responsive when we did have an issue (needed to restart the router for the internet). More over, either they themselves are very honorable or their cleaners are, because less than two hours after we'd left I received a text from Jeremy asking if we had left some valuable jewelry in one of the bathrooms. One of our guests had, and they were able to quickly make arrangements with Jeremy to have them shipped to their house. It shouldn't dissuade you from booking, but it is worth mentioning that the shared deck on the main floor is very much shared. The partition doesn't extend very far out so you'll likely get very familiar with the renters next to you. Not a big deal for us, but something to consider. Beach access is quick and easy. Well-stocked kitchen. Overall, we had an excellent visit and would definitely recommend this place for any Topsail renters!

This was the perfect spot for our two families! The house was very clean, there was plenty of pantry space (huge amenity for us!), room for everyone to spend time together and apart. The kids loved playing in the game room too. Communication was on point! Deanna really thought of everything. Thank you!

Perfect location for a Thanksgiving get away. Super close to the ocean and the little downtown area. Access to Morehead City and beautiful Beaufort is just minutes away. The house efficiently packs 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with a fully loaded kitchen. Beautiful sunsets and amazing ocean walks. Communication with Steve is a solid 10!!!

We couldn’t have selected a better location for the two family 4 kid long weekend. Kids could scooter along the pedestrian road and the playground is within visibility from inside the house. Great amenities and every item you could need from a kitchen was available. The view of the ocean from the top balcony was beautiful.

The place exceeding our expectations. It was easy to get into when we checked in. We had five adults and two children (ages 2 and 6) in our family. My 80 year old mother was with as well. The elevator was a life saver for her. The layout allowed the parents and children to have the entire 2nd floor to themselves. Great grandma also stayed on the 2nd floor as there were 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms on this floor. The 4th floor was a great place to hang out, play games, and put a huge puzzle together. It also had an amazing sleep space, although we did not need it. The full bathroom on this floor was also much appreciated. The kitchen was amazing, having everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together throughout the week. The beach was very close (3 min walk) on a nice boarded walk way with no traffic or worries as we walked with little ones daily. The pool was very close as well and made a great alternative when kids tired of the beach. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place on the beach with everything you need. Renee’s place was clean, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We stayed comfortably with a family of 6. The views of the ocean are great, and it’s an easy walk to the beach. A great location for a family trip if you want to hang out on the beach and cook meals from the house (kitchen is really well stocked). We would definitely stay here again!

What a peaceful retreat this home is! With the sound out the back & a short walk to the beach, situated on a quiet cul-de-sac this home, with its unique architecture, is a perfect blend of feeling a bit remote without being isolated. Perfect location in a cute community. Easy walk right out to the beach, got to see gorgeous sunsets daily from one of many decks, and ample space on the interior to not feel like we were on top of each other. Justin is also one of the most responsive hosts, which we were so appreciative of.

We loved staying at Emily’s place! Our whole extended family was comfortable & we especially loved the kid room. The location can’t be beat!

It was exactly as pictured! The heated pool and beach were amazing (even in mid-April)!! It was accessible for my parents (chair lift to main level and king bedroom/bath on main level) and fun for the kids (bunk room had many games and puzzles). Restaurants and stores are a short drive away. The beach is not accessible for everyone as you have to walk over the dunes without any kind of handrails. But my parents didn’t feel they missed a thing as the ocean views and sounds from the many decks of the house were breathtaking. We would definitely suggest this house for families and would love to come back!

A beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Very spacious and comfy for a large group. Steps from the ocean. Jeremiah was very accommodating and responsive.

We truly enjoyed our stay there. The decorations in the home were awesome. We could tell whoever decorated was very talented in that area. We loved the basket of welcome goodies. They have a coffee maker, toaster and blender too. They even supplied some k-cups for the coffee. The kitchen is stocked with every dish and utensil you would need. We thought is was extra nice that they have a few extra needed items under the bathroom sink if you forgot yours. We loved the very close private beach access. The home was clean, neat and perfect for us. We enjoyed walking on the beach each day and looking for shells. We feel as though they thought of everything and also we appreciated the fact that they did not bombard us with alot of house rules. That made us feel more welcomed and appreciated. We would definitely come back there.

Loved this week and Samantha was very responsive to our questions throughout the week. We loved how close to the beach we were and how quiet our surroundings were all week even being in a townhouse with neighbors on both sides. Lots of amenities from beach gear to bathroom hand soap to kitchen needs.

Shoua's place was exactly as described. It has wonderful views of the ocean and sound. The beach access is just a few steps away without having to cross the street. The place was clean and well-appointed. The beds and furniture were comfortable. She really thought of every family member you could possibly have, from infants to seniors. Also, having the elevator made it easy get luggage up and down. Communication with Shoua was easy. She was prompt to respond to my messages. She is a great host! I will definitely be returning.
