This place was exactly what I needed for my work trip — just like the photos, clean, quiet, and beautifully put together. The host left clear, thoughtful instructions, and I really appreciated their flexibility with check-in. I was able to freshen up and unpack before an evening meeting, and it felt so good to come back afterward and immediately relax. The space had everything I needed — plenty of room, great amenities, and it didn’t feel like staying in a hotel where you have to share your entire life just to check in. I loved the simple self-check-in process with a code — no fuss, no awkward timing, just easy and comfortable. The location is ideal, close to everything — gas, food, coffee, and the main part of town. Overall, a perfect home base for a business trip. I’d absolutely stay again!

If you decide to explore Breaks Interstate Park and the Crooked Road, consider staying at this newly renovated apartment in Virginia. The ground-level accommodations (very comfortable) feature a spacious bedroom with two queen-size beds, a kitchenette with seating area, and a bathroom with shower and washer-dryer. The location, which overlooks a river and rolling hills, is only 8 miles from Virginia’s “Grand Canyon.” The Crooked Road leads visitors to attractions including the Ralph Stanley Museum, the Carter Family Fold, and the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. Our host was welcoming and eager to meet our needs. The town of Haysi, Virginia, offers a small grocery store, restaurants, shops, and a gas station. We would certainly consider staying there again.

“ Philip a été un hôte exceptionnel ! Très présent et toujours disponible pour nous aider, il a rendu notre séjour vraiment agréable. En tant que Français aux États-Unis, c’était un vrai plus de pouvoir compter sur son appui et ses conseils. De plus, il a eu la gentillesse de nous rembourser des nuits même si nous n’avions pas prévenu dans les délais impartis. Merci encore pour tout, nous recommandons vivement !

Very peaceful place to stay. Walkable to a very clean and well-stocked Dollar General. Amazing to have a clean and well-appointed place to stay when visiting my family in Delbarton. We sat on a veranda adjacent to the rental and enjoyed the babbling creek and many birds. This is the prettiest location and a FANTASTIC place. Well worth the money!!!

Place was absolutely immaculate! Easily the cleanest AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in. Obviously well cared for. Small but cute and perfect for 2 people. Very close (easily walkable) to local market/grocery, and an adult beverage store if your taste runs that way. Full size fridge, stove, microwave and in-unit laundry a definite plus for longer stays. There is a bit of traffic noise if you like to sleep with the windows open, but if you’re from the city quieter than what you are used to. It was absolutely perfect for our stay.

Terri’s place was very clean and had everything we needed. This was our first time staying at an Airbnb and Terri made it very easy and comfortable. Gave us all the information we needed, very responsive to questions, checked on us and was proactive in offering suggestions about places to go. She even complimented our dog for how well behaved she was:) if you are needing an Airbnb in Paintsville, I recommend Terri’s place!!
