This is my third stay at "The Den" and I about love every moment. Kevin & Sherri are phenomenal hosts, always accommodating and right there to answer any question within minutes. absolutely gorgeous place, very peaceful and private. I highly recommend this place for a small family looking to get away. It is very clean and full of very modern appliances and TV. it's like going on vacation and stepping into your home away from home. I highly recommend this to anyone and will tell others. Thank you Kevin and Sherry for hosting us this third time it is always a pleasure to stay with you, we will be back in October.

This was exactly what my large (four children) family needed while attending a local wedding. This house is large, clean, and very organized. I could not have asked for better during our stay. Thanks very much!

Sheila’s home was incredible, if you’re looking to get away from the busy hustle of everyday life, book a stay here and make sure to stop at a grocery store. Only a couple hours from the Gatlinburg, an hour or so from cookeville, makes this a great spot for day outings. This was everything that we wanted! Sheila and Darryl were the nicest people, with lots of information, shortcuts, and jokes to be had. We’re already planning our next trip back down so that we can bring our pups!

if you are looking for a place to stay near Dale Hollow this is the place for you. this was our third year staying here. The host is great to accommodate you with a very spacious and comfortable place to stay.

We had a great stay at David’s place! It was very cozy and felt like home. The fresh baked cookies were such a sweet touch. David was super responsive and very helpful with all questions we had. Very accommodating, allowing us to check in early. Though our fishing trip was a bust (our boat broke down and we had to be towed back in) David’s place was a wonderful place to stay! We will be rebooking in the future!

Great stay, very responsive. Very clean. Parking can be challenging with gooseneck trailers but doable. If more then two trucks/trailers there is alternative options. Would be a little tight for our size group if longer then long weekend but was great short our quick trip. A hose for outside would have been a plus. Brings chairs for outside if you like porch sitting or outdoor time. No WiFi but service wasn’t an issue.

Amy's place was great!! We were in the area for a wedding at Bodock Farms in Burkesville. We wanted a quiet, cozy place to stay for a few nights. It was exactly what we were looking for. Located in the beautiful countryside of Cumberland County Kentucky, it offered all the peace we could hope for. It is surrounded by woods and fields, and has a creek (Kettle Creek) that runs just outside the house. The house was very clean and inviting. We felt immediately at home when we walked in the door. We did not have much time, but did get in a hike at Dale Hollow Lake (just a short drive) to see Eagle Overlook and Cindy Cave. We also took the route coming in to take the Tompkinsville Ferry across the river. Our only regret is that we were there for only two nights. Next time we will plan a longer trip. We got many hours of joy from the piano and the incredible screened in porch. We loved the tranquility and the birdsong. The new, blessedly deep bathtub and big shower were excellent. Also enjoyed reading a few of the great books! The place was not as clean as we had expected, and since we were staying for over a month we did a good bit of cleaning, so it may be better for the next folks. Updates to the kitchen and better pans would be nice. Be prepared that there are not a lot of restaurants or grocery options nearby. We planned ahead so that wasn’t an issue. For accessibility, be aware you will need to go up or down curved wooden stairs from the main level to get to any bathroom. Be careful not to slip on the steps.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The place was definitely dated but the new bathrooms were great. We are low maintenance and I can tell they are working to fix the place up. The views are hard to beat and the accommodations were perfect. They gave us unlimited ice which was super cool. Very nice grill that came in handy more than once. Highly recommend this stay for any golf trips to the Dale Hollow State Park course, about 20 mins away. One of the coolest courses in the state of KY. The lake itself is beautiful as well. We rented a pontoon from Sunset marina about 40 mins away. We’ll likely come back!

Absolutely wonderful trip. Karin’s cabin was immaculate, and cozy. It was perfect for our trip, and we can’t wait to come back. We are already planning our next trip back. The cabin had everything we needed, plus more. My husband and I visited for a hiking trip. We stopped at the Cumberland Falls State Park on our way, and didn’t get to check-in until 10PM. Karin and Bruce were more than accommodating to our late arrival time. They had the cabin ready to go, and turned the heat on for us. (We were a little wet, and cold from our hike.) The hot tub was a huge bonus to add! It was so nice to relax in after long days of hiking. We also visited Pickett State Park which we highly recommend. It was beautiful, and not too far from the cabin. There is something for everyone here regardless of your trip. If you want to just relax, or visit state parks this is a must stay destination for your trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and getting to meet Karin and Bruce. Wonderful hosts!

Excellent cottage! Very close to Star Point Resort. Has everything you need for a great weekend on the lake!

Cedar Ridge was the perfect place to stay for a getaway to Dale Hollow. There was plenty of boat parking, easy access with the driveway, and a short drive to Star Point. Sherry was incredibly helpful and the cabin had everything we could have needed. The check in and out process was simple and the scenery around the cabin is beautiful. We felt right at home in the comfort of the living room and loved all the lake and historical details. We will definitely be back.

Not a lot to do in Jamestown itself. Bring groceries as the closest legit grocery store is about 20ish minutes away one way. The cabin was cute and as pictured. Hot tub warmed up nicely and was very clean. Nice place for sure. Very quiet and remote.. there was another cabin but several hundred feet away and we never did see anyone come or go from it and you'll still feel alone so no worries. Just plan on driving quite a bit to find restaurants etc. The guidebook is very thorough... check it out.
