The Empty Nest is awaiting guests who need some R&R, are in town for an event, or just need a change of scenery. We are 35 minutes from Notre Dame, 45 minutes to Warren Dunes, 15 minutes from IN State Line, and 20 minutes from Swiss Valley Ski Resort. The house is in close proximity to many all sport lakes, fishing lakes, snowmobile trails, public beach, and small town shops & restaurants. There are a few county parks near and a Casino within 15 minutes driving distance for extra entertainment!

A completely furnished apartment in the basement of our log home (our main residence) on 5 acres of woods above beautiful Shavehead Lake. Entrance into the apartment through a screened in porch and double French doors provides privacy and space to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape. A large egress window allows natural sunlight into the bedroom on the opposite side of the wall from the kitchen/dining room/living room. If you love camping and nature , but don’t like having to do your own setting up camp and hauling all your camping gear, this is a great place for you. Enjoy watching the sunrise in the mornings and the stars come out at night. Camp Easy has a private beach and private dock for fishing. Enjoy paddling our lake using our canoe provided for your enjoyment. Roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire pit complete with picnic table.
