The cabin was rustic and cozy , exactly what we expected. The property is beautiful and we spent a lot of time walking the grounds down to the river . We had a peaceful experience and would re book. Tashina and her husband checked in while on site to see if we had any needs . We enjoyed everything about this experience.

The Airbnb was pristine! Clean, updated, & scenic views. All the modern amenities with a rustic cabin vibe. The outside patio with the fire pit & hot tub is a perfect spot to wind down and relax after a long day taking in the beautiful WV hikes. Great location to many nature sites. Visited Via Ferrata (30 min drive) & Seneca Rocks (40 min). The hosts have great communication. Very informative & responsive to any questions. 12/10 recommend!!!

This rental was absolutely great! The host was super sweet and extremely flexible with checking in and out, which meet our needs! Lots to do for our kids, beautiful scenery, and very well kept. Highly recommend and would like to come back again!

This is a really great cabin!!! It was really clean, well organized, and thoughtful touches throughout. The written directions were hard to follow so just follow signs to Cabin 4 and 2nd cabin on left. The hot tub was a nice treat but be warned!!!!! one of the little black jets does not push water out - it sucks inward. We were rather startled when we noticed about a dozen welts on my husband's back but relieved when we realized they were just hot tub hickeys. 🤣 Local food options were not for us. We tried 2 but by the end of our stay we really miss healthy options and can't wait to get home and eat green things. So bring food if you like variety and veggies. The convenience of this cabin to Spruce Knob was lovely. We lived our hike along Seneca Creek too!

Tashina's place was fantastic! We booked extremely last minute and she had no problem getting the place set up for us. It was in a beautiful location with great amenities - hot tub, fire pit, TV, and a river to fish in. There were only two downsides - one was the Internet actually worked better outside than it did inside (but we expected that with the remoteness of the place) and the beds could've been more comfortable. All in all, I'd stay again!

We loved our time at Merry Jo and Aaron’s cabin! The location was peaceful and secluded with amazing views of the surrounding mountains and charming attention to detail inside. All of the amenities and pristine cleanliness had us feeling at home right away. Merry Jo proactively reached out to ensure we had clear directions to the location, easy access to the property, and that we had everything we needed once there. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to relax with friends and/or family - hot tub was a hit, but they also had a lovely fire pit and cornhole that we would have used had the weather been a bit more cooperative. We hope to go back - an easy 5 stars!

The cabin and the views were beautiful! The hot tub was so relaxing to sit out and look out at the Mountain View. There was plenty of space. The house was stocked with all the necessities. The driveway was tricky at first, as expected and described in the listing, but we had a blast with it. Lol. I definitely recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay at The Coop! The cabin was clean, cozy and comfortable, kitchen fully stocked with all the necessities and more. We were able to cook a full Easter dinner, and enjoy a variety of delicious coffee options in the morning, enjoying a cup on the front porch with a nice and peaceful view with the sounds of the stream nearby. Nice peaceful vibe. The fire-pit at night watching the stars, peaceful walks around the private neighborhood down to the stream, running into a swarm of butterflies was magical. We were able to bring our dog Rocky too, who made friends with the friendly neighbors, and even enjoyed his pup cupcake that was left as a welcome gift. We enjoyed our welcome cupcakes too, they were delicious! We would definitely visit again :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Tuckerman Retreat! It was the perfect romantic weekend getaway from the city and was just what we were looking for. Although there is really not much around the house and it is quite secluded, the privacy and natural surroundings were unmatched. The cabin felt just like home, was super cozy, and the bed + blackout curtains left us with some of the best sleep we've gotten in a long time. Jarred was a great host; he was super responsive and offered to go above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible! If you are looking for a place to unplug, feel connected to the outdoors, or just have a relaxing cozy weekend, the Tuckerman Retreat is a great choice. We will definitely be coming back!

My family stayed there for one night when we were looking to go visit Staunton and do some hiking over the weekend. The place was clean and just as described. The price was good too. My only comment is that it’s a little hard to find from GPS.

Being a hiker and climber and wanting to get a taste for Seneca, I thought this was the perfect spot. Chill and clean, dog-friendly, cool outdoor kitchen next to a creek, climbing community and climbing wall, and walkable to hike up or climb Seneca. Can't wait to visit again and enjoy the area more.

What an amazing stay we had at Deb and Matt's cabin! This rustic home has all the modern conveniences without losing its charm. We enjoyed family time by the fire inside and at the fire pit outside while the kids played in the surrounding woods (still visible from the hammock). My chef husband loved the well-appointed kitchen and there was plenty of room for us to help out. Everyone enjoyed privacy in their own room and bathroom. There's even an additional living room so when others were watching a movie downstairs, I enjoyed reading while the rain fell on the metal roof upstairs. There is no internet service on the way up but the wifi in the house is abundant, making it easy to check out while hiking or visiting sugar camps (we were there for Maple Fest), and check back in once at the cabin. Deb and Matt were the best hosts, hands down. They made sure we had everything we needed and more, taking us zip lining, giving rides on the ATV, & introducing us to their menagerie. Thank you!

We had a great stay. There was a lot of outdoor activities to do. A few really good restaurants and a small town feel. The cabin was cozy and clean. A great option for a getaway in the mountains.

We enjoyed our stay laundry on site so that was convenient. Nice to have a hot tub. Quiet and peaceful area so it was relaxing. We enjoyed our stay thank you.

Perfect cabin for a long weekend in the woods. My husband and I would have normally tent camped, but it was so nice to have a warm cabin with a warm shower, a place to cook outdoors and have a fire going in the chili night. It was just perfect location for going on a hike to Spruce Knob!! Thank you so much.

Dana's cabin was wonderful. It was clean and fully stocked. The location is so relaxing and quiet that it is somewhat unbelievable. There are several beautiful hikes in close proximity including Chimney Rock and Seneca Rocks. The views are amazing. Please do not hesitate to stay at this cabin. Just sit on the front porch and lose yourself.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our weekend retreat at the cabin. The place is peaceful and beautiful. The sound of the creek and the spring bird songs are calming and relaxing. Dinah is an excellent host. She gave detailed and clear instructions and directions, so at no moment we were lost or guessing. Would love to come back! One tip: print out directions, since the phone service is spotty in the area.

Sylvia was such a welcoming and generous host! The cabin is absolutely ideal for a weekend in the woods. The interior is very homey and a lovely mix of modern and rustic. The kitchen is very well outfitted for cooking at the cabin and many locations inside to cozy up with a tea and good book. The surrounding land is a beautiful forest and secluded. We were lucky with some snow and had amazing views of snow covered trees out every window. Would visit time and time again!

One of the most incredible Airbnb cabin stays in Virginia! The Bear Cabin is arguably the most beautiful cabin in Dayton, VA. The photos matched our expectations perfectly—but in reality, the house and its surroundings felt even more spacious and breathtaking. Adrienne is an exceptional host—always responsive and incredibly helpful whenever my friends and I had questions or concerns. There were eight of us, and the cabin could comfortably sleep up to ten. There were more than enough bathrooms for everyone, and Adrienne kindly stocked plenty of firewood for the indoor fireplace, along with clear instructions and a full kit. We had ample parking for up to five cars. Some of our friends traveled from out of state, and all agreed the cabin weekend was absolutely worth the trip. My only regret? That we didn’t stay longer than two nights. It was that special. Highly recommended. - Anisa and friends

Loved the tranquility and solitude, stream, gazebo, and firepit. Such a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.

This was the perfect tiny house for our ladies biking weekend, Judy is a wonderful host. Will be coming back :)
