The Allegheny Highlands Trail is just 2 blocks from the front door and the river runs right by the house. Perfect location for hanging out by the campfire or just cuddling on the comfy couch.

Thomas was an early coal mining, lumber, and railroad town. Many lived in "Company Houses ". Welcome to our version of the Thomas Company House. 3 streets up from Historical Front Street-walk to arts, unique shops, coffee/pastries, dining,and live music at Purple Fiddle. Only 3 miles to Davis, 12 to Canaan Valley. Enjoy the outdoors, you'll love it here in our quaint town-biking,hiking,kayaking,fishing,golfing,sledding/skiing. Did I mention it is peaceful? Holler Hut

Our tiny little cabin is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are looking for a remote getaway with beautiful sites, some fabulous fishing, or riding your side by side through the mountains, this place is in the heart of it. Nestled in the holler of Leadmine, WV is our hut. So close to Thomas, WV with their streets of shopping; Davis, WV with Blackwater Falls and restaurants; Canaan is not much further up the road. And the endless trails to ride your buggies!!

Irene's Place - Large Riverside Victorian Home

Charming 120-year-old Victorian home in located in downtown Parsons within the border of the Monongahela National Forest. About 20 mins southeast of Davis, it's just a short drive from Canaan Valley, Timberline Ski Resort, Blackwater Falls, & a large network of trails & stunning scenery. Accommodations include 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen, on-site laundry & parking, Wi-Fi, & a sleeper sofa in the living room. All bed & bath linens provided. Dogs only for a fee.

The location of this home is perfect as it offers beautiful mountain views, is a quick walk downtown yet off of the main street thus reducing traffic noise. This home is just right up the hill from the unique shops, art galleries, restaurants, and The Purple Fiddle on front street in Thomas. It is also close to hiking and biking trails, Albert Falls, and Douglas Falls. A spacious deck and grill make it perfect for relaxing after an adventurous day. Parking is right beside this home.

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.

Parsons Riverside Retreat

PRR is a new (2021) riverside 2 bed room SMART cabin located steps away from the beautiful Shavers Fork/Cheat River. Local activities include hiking/biking, floating, tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, white water rafting and skiing. We're an ATV friendly town with endless scenic trails through the mountains and national forests that surround us. We're known for five beautiful clean rivers that merge here and host the annual Pickin' in Parson Bluegrass Festival.

Dandy Flats - The Nonchalant

Located in a historic building on the main drag and adorned with 135-year old hardwood floors, original woodwork, local art, huge rain shower, and forest views - this tastefully styled flat feels like being transported to a 19th century boarding house. With espresso, galleries, live music, shops, food, and drinks steps away, you have the forests and a tiny cityscape just steps out your door. This apartment is offered at the Dandy Flats - a lovingly restored Inn.

Tree House

Wintertime readiness: When we have snow, 4-wheel or All-wheel drive will be best. Watch the weather. Un plug at Tree House. The cabin now has Wi Fi. There is also a DVD player w/ DVDs. A 15 minute drive takes you to Thomas, WV for food and art and music. Five more minutes and you are in Davis for Blackwater Falls State Park. A few more miles down the road find two alpine ski areas and White Grass Ski Touring Center.

A bright, modern cabin in the heart of the Monongahela National Forest. This brand new design driven space feels like being in a treehouse. It lies at the edge of the Dolly Sods wilderness, has forest views from every room, and a sauna. The location provides easy access to tons of hiking and is only 2.5-3 hours from Washington DC. It's as close as you can get to Dolly Sods without camping! 4WD needed in the winter.
