A wonderful spot: impeccably clean, cosy and well-supplied. We had a perfect tranquil night at the Chocolate Suite and would wholly recommend!

The hosts were kind and communicative (despite my anxious dog not making a great first impression!). The hosts provided a fenced in 'back yard' area at the entrance to the suite, which made for many sunny hours lounging in the sun after a walk to the river at the back of the property. The interior of the suite is quite basic and not the most private (I believe their office is on the other side of the door in the living room area and not sound-proofed), and you must be sure to keep your food secured as there are a lot of ants in the suite/kitchen - but what the suite itself lacks is made up for by the sprawling green expanse of the farm and surrounding wildlife. The alpacas were curious and friendly, and my dog enjoyed watching the neighbour's geese down the road. Overall I think my dog enjoyed the property even more than the beaches we visited while in town. Thanks again for the stay! I would visit again just to sit at the river and bask in the forest.

We had an absolutely great stay! Eva was super helpful and kind. She gave us a ton of local recommendations for the pups and us. The space was cozy and met all our needs! Would definitely stay again!

Our stay was all around Vancouver Island, but June's place was most definitely the best in all aspects! Firstly this location is beyond just good, - it literally drops your jaw when you encounter this ocean view right at the front yard, as you have a mountainview overlooking the wayer...it's truly amazing. Also the place itself was clean, functional and very cozy, giving you a sense of home even while traveling. Kitchen was full on ready as we needed to cook something in the evening and it worked out just perfect. Overall this was the best stay like I mentioned already,- quiet and beautiful accommodation. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay, enjoying the sound and view of the crashing sea waves and beautiful sunsets. We would happily stay again! Just to be aware- there will likely be sounds of a child playing upstairs during daytime hours. Didn’t bother us, but could to some of you expected silent privacy.

If you wanna feel being at paradise, choose it. a great, friendly, respectfull and wonderfull host. I had my mom birthday there and it was unforgettable trip for us.

The suite was lovely, small but beautiful surroundings and view. Perfect for a cozy stay for one or two. Had a minor issue on check-in and Bree was quick to help resolve it. Thank you for the stay Bree!

We enjoyed our few days in Westlake while visiting our son in Nanaimo. Danielle’s place was spotless, clean and beautiful. The bed was super comfy and all the little extras were fantastic. The area is awesome. Highly recommend a morning walk around Westlake…gorgeous! Thanks for a great stay Danielle!

We had a really good stopover at Caroline’s. A beautiful and spacious apartment with everything you need to hand. We also found a great short trail up to Beaver Lake just behind the house - well worth it! We’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

Everything is perfect

Our family of 5 greatly enjoyed the Water suite. Everything was clean and well organized. A hot Saltspring coffee and raspberry scone started my morning nicely. Surroundings are gorgeous and we all definitely enjoyed the spa amenities (the steam room was my favourite). Thank you, Sheryl and Michael for the great communication. We highly recommend.

Loved the stay! Gabriola is a truly a special place. Waking up to the sunrise by the beach was a great way to start the day

What a great place! Even better than it looked in the photos! And everything, from check-in to communication to check out was very easy!

We found the place clean, bright and well organized. The bedrooms were separated from each other and in a quiet location. The entrance was street level and parking was in driveway and/or on boulevard in front of house. Kitchen was well equipped and big windows for a brighter feel so you don’t feel like you’re in a basement at all! The bike storage was secure and large and held our 5 bikes easily. Hose for rinsing off bikes was handy after riding on muddy trail. The only thing was the queen bed was a little firmer than we like so we solved it with putting a memory foam topper on it and it was perfect but we know that we always bring the topper as we like our bed on the softer side. The location has easy access to the Cumberland trails and walkable to Main Street to cafe and restaurants, the town has a really nice vibe! We would not hesitate to come back to stay here and it’s easy access to Campbell River which has more beautiful flowy trails and the Fish & chips at Dicks were great!

A very comfortable and quaint suite! The bed was comfortable, great location, and very easy check in. Everything was clean and tidy. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable and functional place to stay.

Claudie and Taryn are great hosts , no need to hesitate here , I’m a traveling contractor so I’ve been in my fair share of places , you don’t feel like your living in someone else’s home here , private , clean and comfortable, good communication and great price , best in the area 👌

Don was very friendly and helpful. I was attending an event and needed some lanyard badges but didn’t have enough and he saved the day by providing me with all the ones that he had for his business. He was very responsive to all my questions and needs and always answered the door with a big smile. The place was very quiet and the neighbourhood peaceful. The only reason I didn’t rate the check-in as 5 stars is because for some reason I didn’t get the check-in instructions. He wasn’t home but I called and left a message and he called back as soon as he was available. In the meantime, I got to take a walk along the beautiful waterfront of historic Nanaimo, so it all worked out well. Overall it was a 5 star experience.

Cozy quiet suite that offers all the amenities that I needed. Shopping and restaurants are easily accessed if you have a vehicle. Jeff was quick to respond to any questions and advise me of activity on the property that could possibly affect me. I’m really glad I found his site and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.
