We had a wonderful stay. The host was outstanding! Excellent communication and cleanliness of home was great. Highly recommend staying here if fishing is your thing. would definitely stay here in the future.

My son and I fished a local tournament out of the Vandemere wildlife boat launch. We usually drive an hour there and hour back. We were able to get there on Thursday, fished in AM and checked into house afterwards. We relaxed and felt immediately at home. Very clean, well maintained, everything you need to cook and eat there, also a coffee pot, Such a cute cozy comfortable coastal themed house. Will was an awesome host! Reached out to make sure everything was good & recommended some local fishing spots, which is what we traveled to do. Everything was as described & the cabin lacked nothing we needed! We enjoyed the nice weather & peaceful area on the porch with our pup.

We loved our time in Ben’s home. Our girls can’t wait to come back and our dogs lived their best lives playing on the beach, the house was spacious and comfortable, we loved every moment. The sunrises are a thing of beauty and should not be missed!

This was an AMAZING place! I wish we had more time here. Picked up pizza from a cool place called The Silos. Pool is seasonal and opens in May. Very quiet, peaceful area. We had the beach all to ourselves. Lots of amenities like various shampoo and conditioners, coffee, plastic bags, blankets, books, and games. It was easy to find and get into. I hope we can book again someday!

Lisa's place was exactly as described. The home is so beautifully decorated and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. Lisa takes great care in making her guests feel welcome. We arrived to a chilled bottle of wine and some delicious muffins. The location is perfect for easily exploring the town of Oriental. Our only wish was to have been able to stay longer. We will definitely book another stay when visiting the area.

We rented two houses for week for a family gathering. This was our second time staying at River Dunes. The houses and location were fantastic for our week. The amenities at River Dunes are wonderful, from the pool to the kayaks, to the bikes everything was great!

We loved the house, it was clean, very pretty and has an amazing view! We did have some trouble with the key was tough to use but a minor inconvenience. We loved the little beach right next door swimming and kayaking. We unexpectedly found the most amazing conch shells, 5 in just a short period. It is fairly remote, perfect for some. We did not get to see much of the closest town of Oriental due to rain and it was Sunday wear a lot of places were closed. We visited New Bern twice and loved that town about 30 mins away. We loved that we could bring our furry friends too! I also enjoyed the a little earlier and a little later check in and out times than a lot of places! I would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our peaceful, quiet stay in beautiful River Dunes. The cottage was lovely, filled with natural light, and the bed extremely comfy. Also appreciated the washer, dryer, and screened in back porch!

Location, location, location. The setting was beautiful with rockers on the front porch overlooking the marina. Coffee shop, restaurants, and brewery within walking distance. And the price was reasonable.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at one of Glenda’s homes in Oriental. She is a great host, and puts a lot of extra thought into making sure the homes are inviting and comfortable. This was the perfect house for us for a long wknd. We were able to walk to everything. I highly recommend booking the trip!

Great place for a short visit. The amenities were such a joy and a lot of green to walk our fur baby.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Overall, everything was great. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. There were extra bed linens available, but barely enough bath towels and washcloths to go around. Extra pillows would have been nice, but overall, it was fine. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The livingroom, kitchen and deck were great hangout places with plenty of room for all of us. The fenced yard was nice for the dogs, although the grass was pretty overgrown. The bbq grill needed some serious cleaning, but once we got it cleaned up, it worked fine. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the incredible sunrises over the river. I would definitely recommend this home for your next family stay.

Right on the main street & within walking distance to everything.

We felt right at home at the Rose Cottage. We were in town for a family event with a ton of people. This was exactly the sanctuary we needed to recover from an otherwise busy and slightly whirlwind trip. If you want to turn your visit to Oriental into something out of a storybook, stay here. Thanks for providing exactly the experience we needed. We look forward to booking Rose Cottage again the next time we are in town and need a place to stay. Thank You!

Awesome place, bed was super comfortable!

Had a blast was right on the water stayed last year at another place but wasnt on the water like this place had boat dock so that was really nice unloaded boat tied it up to dock didnt have to worry about anyone messing with your stuff because it was there personal dock so not having to worry about other people being around !my boat and belongings so our stuff was safe they have plenty of fishing rods and kayaks if ypu,just wanted go on a little kayak stroll out for a day. I really,liked how peaceful,it was just a good place and quiet will defintely be going back next year and planning on staying in the same place actually i couldnt believe how quiet it was nice deck on side of house if you want to read and drink ur coffee with a view didnt have to worry about neighbors very quiet and peaceful place!! Loved it!!!
