This was above and beyond our expectations. The location has a beautiful full frontal river and lovely mountain view. The home was clean and well maintained . We took advantage of all the amenities! We were able to use the canoe provided by the host, see all the stars while we soaked in the hot tub and then use the fireplace in the evening when the temperature dropped down into the 40's. The home offers a jacuzzi as well which was very relaxing. There are many places to gather. There is a full bar in the kitchen with ample seating, full dining room furnished with large dinette and a table for six on the deck overlooking the river. We also spent a lot of time around the fire pit early morning and some evenings when the temps were cooler. Firewood was complimentary with the home as well. The host was always friendly and responsive when we had questions. We absolutely loved our stay here. We highly recommend staying here if you love nature or just need a quiet retreat to rest.

We had an amazing time at Ryanne and Jay's place. The house is very close to the lake where we used to go for a walk, close to the entrance to the Shenandoah National Part. Very big and nice yard with the brook on a side, and fire pit ... just perfect for a relaxing stay. EV charger was a BIG plus! The house is very neat and clean, a lot of thoughtful details like outside lights, night lights (which you can remove if they annoy you 😂) , step stool in the bathroom, and many many other tiny things too long to mention, but they make your stay comfortable. Finally, the hosts are very responsive and give a bunch of recommendations which we followed! If we are back in the area, this is the place we will stay at. Thank you, Ryanne and Jay!

This is a wonderful home with lots of history. The house is nicely modernized, comfortable for large groups, and has tons of outdoor space. Great for family meals, reading by the fire, and everything you hope from a country retreat.

PERFECT place for families to get away and reconnect with nature and unwind from the stress of everyday life. Gorgeous mountain view’s, exceptionally beautiful flowers, trees, tons of wildlife and very private. We saw about 10 deer almost every morning. The house was super clean, and the hot tub was immaculate. If you have young children, the room connected to the master is the perfect place for them to sleep and still have a barrier between for some privacy. To the other mom’s eyeballing the spa bathtub and may question the jets, I can reassure you it’s very clean. We would love to visit again to break away from the sweltering hot mosquito infested swamps of Florida, I cried when it was time to leave this beautiful house.

Everything was wonderful! We had a great time and would definitely go back! Alison was super responsive and quickly answered any questions we had.

Great cabin. Nice warm heater. Great kitchen. Great nature vibes. Right next to a small pond that you can canoe in.

Cozy stay with my husband and dog for a week. We ventured into Shenandoah park most days and loved how it was about a quick drive to the entrance (we mostly went to the southern district for our hikes). The jacuzzi in the bear cave after a long day of hikes was perfect way to unwind! We had great weather but I could see if there was inclement weather going outside to the bear cave area for washer/dryer could be tough. But overall loved the house and would recommend!

We had a wonderful getaway at Rivercamp. The house was perfect for our family of 5 (10, 8 and 6 years old). With plenty of space, clean, stocked with everything we need to cook most meals at the house and lovely and fun decor. We hiked/explored all day and then fished and kayaked off of the dock all evening. The neighborhood was so peaceful and tranquil. We 10/10 recommend booking your stay. Keith was very responsive and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Perfect peaceful stay that we were looking for!

I stayed here with my 9 and 11 year old boys and they absolutely loved the kids bedroom upstairs and the loft. The house was exactly as pictured and honestly the pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed here in order to visit Shenandoah and Luray and I also loved how close this house was to George Wash National Forest which is also very beautiful and on the drive to Luray. Kinga was an amazing host and super responsive the whole time. I would definitely stay here again. It was close enough to town to make a grocery run or go to a restaurant but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to unwind by the river. Thanks for an amazing week!

This charming little cottage is a wonderful bonus rental to the main house. Though I had not originally rented this cottage when I rented the main house, at the last minute, I had extra guests that needed accommodations and John was able to rent the cottage on very short notice. The cottage was clean and ready for an early check-in in record time and my guests were very happy with this sweet cottage. A beautiful location that is such a lovely spot for a getaway or special weekend trip. A nice little taste of country life for all who come to the Shenandoah Valley.

An absolute gem of a place - modern comforts nestled away in a completely private setting. Close enough to towns for eats if you want and super close to Shenandoah NP for exploring/hikes yet far enough away from everyone to see the stars at night the way they should be seen. The cottage was super clean and very well set up offering everything you’d need to have a great rainy day if needed indoors. Will come back for sure as we missed a few trails and wineries. Must see the Grand Caverns and visit Lil’ Gus for a burger just a short ride South. We were very fortunate and stayed during the Elkton Spring Festival in town for small town carnival fun without the city shenanigans we get at home.

A magical overnight stay, for sure! The cottages were cozy, well thought out, and very clean! The “back yard” was like a gorgeous fairy land. We already can’t wait to come back, one night was not enough!

We absolutely loved our stay for a quick two day getaway! Our two teenagers had the kayaks on the water before we even got our bags inside! The sunrise was absolutely breathtaking. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4! We will for sure be back when we have more time to stay.

If you want a calm getaway with beautiful sights in a beautiful home this is definitely the house for you! My group had an amazing time using all the amenities provided we made smores on the fire pit, barbecued almost everyday there and we got to take the canoes and kayaks out in the water.

One of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed! Tom and Margo have maintained a gorgeous cabin and outdoor space. Plenty of amenities and a great stretch of river for fishing, kayaking, wading, and overall relaxing. Super comfy and cozy relaxing by the fire and then coming in to chill in the cabin’s living room. Kitchen was perfect for coffee and all 3 meals. Can’t say enough good things, Hope to visit again soon!!

The cabin was even better than expected! Large rooms, spacious bathrooms, and a large basement area. There is an absolutely massive deck with plenty of picnic tables and an industrial company picnic-sized charcoal grill. The best part was the fire pit, surrounded by four swinging benches! Slept 14 people comfortably with an extra air mattress.

We loved staying at this cabin while visiting Shenandoah National park and Luray. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was lovely to cook in, and the views and river access made this place a hit for everyone in our family. Thanks for sharing the space and we hope to return in the future!

What a fantastic weekend! This cabin was so sweet, in a peaceful and beautiful location, close to the river, with chickens, tons of birds, our own little porch cat, and kayaks and canoes available at any time. It is also in the perfect location to visit Luray Caverns and Shenandoah. The cabin was comfortable, well stocked, and the fresh eggs were delicious. Owners are very responsive. Highly recommend!

Cabin was super cozy and welcoming! We had a great restorative weekend here. It would definitely be even better in the summer when we could take more advantage of the outside space but was still lovely in the winter
