The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

Extremely beautiful, peaceful and spacious! House is comfortable, spotless and has enough spaces to relax and lounge around!! The views are amazing and the big windows allow lots of sunshine in. Kitchen is fully equipped to make meals and it was spotless! More than enough clean bedding and towels were available. Cleon and Christine have thought of every little amenity and provided for it. Everything was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The highlight is and always will be the variety of animals Cleon has and takes care of. His love for them is evident and he has thoughtfully provided them with warming sheds when it gets too cold. All the animals looked very well taken care of and content.. we enjoyed feeding the lemurs, marmosets, kangaroos, sheep, various birds, Guinea pigs.. and quite a few I am definitely missing 😊 Cleon set up a fire for us and it was very enjoyable and peaceful.. the ponds are so so beautiful and the sound of the waterfall is relaxing. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay in Kim’s spacious barn, with friendly horses and great views right outside the front door. We have loved exploring the area over the years and this is one of our more unique experiences.

Our recent stay at Heather and Bill’s rustic cabin was nothing short of magical. The setting was idyllic—surrounded by serene woods and offering the perfect retreat from daily life. The cabin was spacious and provided for two separate sleeping areas. The beds were extremely comfortable and clean linens were supplied. We were provided with all that we needed to cook our own meals and Heather generously included common breakfast items. The cabin itself remained cool during day and was warm at night despite not being heated. We were surprised that there were no insects in the cabin for the duration of our stay. Heather did supply mosquito netting and repellent but we did not find that we needed to use them. The outdoor shower allowed for a unique experience of bathing under an open sky while affording sufficient privacy. Heather checked in regularly to see if we needed anything and was genuinely interested in making our stay a memorable one. This experience exceeded all our expectations!

This place was beautiful and homey! Honestly, the upper floor was much bigger than we expected and very clean. The bathrooms were all renovated and looked beautiful. The space was nice and kitchen was very pristine. The pool area was enjoyable and pond was nice to boat in. Would recommend this place for a nice family cottage trip :)

Luisa’s place was absolutely beautiful. We visited for a weekend with our family. It felt high end and luxurious but at the same time comfortable and cozy. The minimal Scandinavian inspired design is complemented with warm, natural textures and elements. Big windows let in loads of sunshine , a cozy fireplace keeps it toasty and oversized furniture inside gives you a soft place to rest. White lights through the trees, a hot tub and sauna make the outdoors feel like a Nordic spa. I can’t say enough good things about it! It’s a spacious, bright, cozy and intimate place to gather and have some R+R. Highly recommended. PS Luisa is super-friendly!

Elynn’s place was lovely! Charming and cozy and exactly as described. We can’t wait for the opportunity to stay again in the future when we take another trip to the Niagara region.

Great little spot in Coburg! The space is thoughtfully decorated and laid out. It’s in great proximity to everything. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were looking for a traditional Canadian atmosphere in Kingsville to stay on our trip from France, to see my family and friends and we found this hidden gem. The owners were very kind to let us have a small party and left toys and equipment for my grandson only 1 years old. They even agreed to heat the pool so we could enjoy the pool and sauna in April, plus there were bathrobes ready for us in every room to use. The house had many games and lots of space to enjoy inside and outside. We loved waking up and seeing the deer in the forest and we enjoyed the fire pit with s’mores offered by our hosts. My family was very happy with the house as they really felt like they were in Canada with the view of the forest. The BBQ and the fire pits with heated blankets on the veranda were well appreciated. The shuffle board, darts and lawn games were great fun to play. All our Canadian friends were overwhelmed by everything the house had to offer. Thank you for our stay La Famille Casuccio

Jason's place exceeded our expectations. Staying in this rustic but chic barn was a very unique experience and we had 100% privacy in our space. The first thing we noticed was how clean the floors were. Jason's place was so clean we trusted our toddler in the group to use the floor freely! I would recommend this stay for those who have young children because Jason also has books, boardgames and videogames available. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the only thing to note is that the two rooms on the highest level can get hot and stuffy on a hot day. We recommend those who sleep there to plan and dress accordingly. Curtis was also a great host when it came to wine tasting and campfire building. We hung around the campfire with our friends and family, had some drinks with Curtis and shared stories. It was so nice getting to know him and the 3 dogs who also live on the property. We have young children and Curtis made sure the kids felt comfortable around the dogs

Went to the barn this weekend for my boyfriend’s birthday! Loved that we could park right beside our unit so we could see our car. When you walk in it is exactly like the photos (even better with the detail in the ceiling). The kitchen has all the basics you needed. (Which was nice as I was making a whole seafood boil). Bathroom was my favourite as it had heating floors and even gave me an idea of what to do with my bathroom! Hot tub was very clean and warm! Bed was very comfortable that we ended up passing out by 10 pm which we never do. Over all this was a beautiful experience, my only issue which is totally understandable was I could hear the unit next door at times when they got loud. But even in a normal hotel that’s going to happen to so in the end I did my best to ignore it. I would definitely come here again as it was the perfect escape not too far from Kitchener. We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy barn in Roblin! It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot , the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. I brought my partner here for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it! The barn has a charming and comfortable vibe, and it was the ideal location since it’s only about an hour away from the 1000 Islands Rockport Cruise. It made for a memorable and scenic get away. Highly recommend this spot for couples looking for a romantic escape!

This was our second visit to Stillwood Loft and the first during an ice storm! We found the loft to be an excellent retreat from the harsh weather. When we were able to get outside, we admired the new additions to the property’s trails, and we look forward to enjoying them further in warmer weather. Definitely recommend.

Amazing vacation rental, fully equipped so cozy, warm with lots of indoor and outdoor space. Beautiful view of the mountains with big windows, spacious bedrooms and all the amenities we needed. Zehra was amazing and gave us great pointers on what to visit and it was all worth it. We are returning home with great souvenirs 🧡

One of my favorite stays so far using Airbnb! We were four adults staying at this location to attend a concert at Base31. We arrived late at the location but check in was super easy, thanks to the clear instructions and self check in. Easy to find to location with private parking for our vehicles. Beautiful & super clean guesthouse. Loved the decor inside. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into this location for their guests. It's private with a good size deck outside (as shown in the pictures) with plenty of seating to enjoy a morning coffee. You can hear horses not too far away as a back ground noise. I would return or recommend this location in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a getaway, with or without children.

Gail was an amazing and gracious host. Her response time was good. It’s a fun place to stay with lots of room and has extra things to do while around the property. She took generous time to tour the farm with the family and gave horseback riding lessons at more than a fair cost to the children. We would most definitely stay there again!

We had a super time in Gail Farm with our kids. they had a really good time with all the animals and the pool and the fresh eggs so yummy😍. Karen is so good always there when we need something. we enjoy the ride with the horses love this place we had a relax time just what we needed. thank you again we will be back for sure . merci beaucoup pour l acceuil et le bon temps passer chez vous !!!!!!🤩 thank you Gail & Karen and all

This place is truly 5 stars. It is gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need. So many teas, options for coffees, oils, a full spice drawer, containers. Everything. The coach house is beautiful and the property is gorgeous. Very responsive host as well. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Cannot recommend this place more.
