This was my family's second time staying at this amazing country home. The hospitality is just amazing and it is just such a nice way to get away from city life. We will be back again!

Wizzy and John’s cabin was fantastic! We traveled with kids (10, 7, and 3), and they had plenty to keep them entertained within the compound, especially with the stables right next to the A-frame cabin. We also enjoyed a walk to the Mau Mau cave with Simon, the guide, who was incredible. Wizzy was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and quick to address a minor issue with hot water and power, which was resolved . Overall, we had a great experience, and my kids even rated it their second favorite holiday! I’d definitely return.

The home matched the Airbnb description 100%. It’s a stand alone house with 2 private bedrooms and a bunk bed in the upstairs hallway. It’s very clean with a fully equipped and functional kitchen. Clean beddings & towels available. Home is in the same compound as the host’s parents home, and the compound is gated. Feels very safe. 2 dogs live in the compound. Both very friendly. The smaller one is usually always outside, but the German Shepherd is more of a guard dog as is out at night. If afraid of dogs, host is flexible with putting them away as needed. WiFi is available. Noise pollution in the neighborhood is low. The hosts are responsive, thoughtful, kind and friendly. The recommended driver, Ernest, is excellent. Always timely and very knowledgeable of surrounding areas. Was able to drive me to Ol Pajeta conservatory and Aberdares mountain ranges (both places I would highly recommend to tour). His charges are also fair. I had an exceptional experience overall! 11/10 recommend!

Marion's place is amazing. It is well kept amd clean. In a serene area, with a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya. Maina the caretaker was wonderful and very responsive to our inquiries. I would definitely recommend. thank you so much.

We found Petra`s place as we left it a few years ago, very friendly and welcoming to a mix of guests from around the world. Petra is an excellent host who keeps track of everyone`s needs and shows genuine interest. The different rooms and cottages are very nice and cosy. We enjoyed the food and hospitality. We would love to come again .

Overall this is a very nice place. It was a little hard to find, especially at night as Google maps does not provide the correct directions. There is a gate for security purposes but you have to call and request for it to opened whenever you want to come or go. The apartment is very clean and nice with two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one full. Elizabeth is next door and available if you need anything.

We loved Ann's house near Nyeri! It has everything you need, and more, including huge fridge, oven, air fryer and coffee machine! Her mum and Margaret were very welcoming and friendly, and the location is beautiful and quiet. It's a great base for day trips to Aberdares, walks to Zaina Falls and Nyeri hill or just a lovely place to relax and unwind.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Sally’s place. Right from the beginning, her communication was excellent—clear, timely, and very helpful both before our arrival and throughout our stay. We had requested an early check-in, and she was kind enough to accommodate our request, which made our travel experience much smoother. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with delicious muffins and soft drinks—a thoughtful gesture that immediately reflected her warmth and hospitality. The home itself is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Nestled in a peaceful and secure location, it offers everything you might need and more. The swimming pool and gym were a delightful bonus—well-maintained and easily accessible. The staff were polite, efficient, and added to the overall positive experience. A special mention goes to her two adorable puppies, Zoro and Maya, whose playful presence we loved. we thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended

Thyme Villa is breathtaking. Views of Mt. Kenya are incredible, and the photos of the home don’t do it justice. Communication with Antonella was seamless - the directions are clear and easy to follow. Tabitha and Mary are standouts and provided exceptional service. Cannot recommend a stay at Thyme, or any of the other Villas enough!

Our time at Betty's place was just what we needed. We stayed in Lavender Cottage, which allowed us to cook our meals easily while having our own pace daily between work and resting. The pool was lovely (wear sunscreen), the daily breakfast was delicious, and the outside area with a fireplace was perfect for some downtime. Betty and her staff were so helpful! It combines a hotel with beautiful amenities, a small B&B, and a safe, private compound. We took a pilates class in town one morning, but otherwise, we stayed put the week we were there. We hope to explore more on our next visit. Highly recommend!

Loved our stay at Ivy, the cottage was so cozy and comfortable. The terrace overlooking the garden absolutely beautiful. Also convenient location next to the shopping center for breakfast and Nanyuki souvenirs.

I was received by Laureen who was an amazing host! She guided us through, instantly provided a heater when requested, recommended activities and checked up on us. The place is exactly like the pictures snd even better. Quiet, cool, calm and beautiful

Highly recommend staying at Solio Gardens. House was lovely and spacious and beautifully clean. Beds were comfy and showers hot! Our children enjoyed the pool table and space in the garden to play football. We were a party of 11 and self catered. Kitchen was basic but fine to cook simple meals. We were confused by the location of the property as the map is inaccurate but Alex explained exact location (near the airstrip in Nanyuki) before we set off. We went to Ol Peteja Conservancy (a 45 minute drive away) which was awesome as you see so many animals. Would stay here again.

Beautiful place

Skip all the hotels and lodges in this area and stay here. It's a perfect home away from home. The gardens are a perfect place to relax and watch the sunset. The kids have enough grounds equipped with safe play sets. The home is well secured. There's adequate trees that add to the quality of air and serenity. If you are a fun of animals you will be well pleased here. We stayed a family of 8 adults and 7 kids and there was adequate room for us all. The bat is well equipped for that refreshing evening drink. Great music selection with perfect sound to cheer up your spirits. I doubt we would have the kind of experience we had here in any other place. Plus places like Nanyuki are literally 30 mins drive away and so much to do in the area if you have to live. The only downside is we couldn't stay longer or forever! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the excellent service offered by everyone from the owner to the workers. Also one of our cars needed a Jumpstart and Mr Turunga was gracious.
