Sanjaya's place is amazing and beautiful. We had clear instructions and were even helpful in assisting with instructions for our driver. The home is on an elevation so although our car couldn't make it, they had a Tuk Tuk ready to take us and our bags. Once we checked in, we were given a tour of the house and were asked for breakfast times for the next day. The breakfast was amazing and a nice touch. The views here are what ultimately make this great as you get to see the city and mountains from the balcony and bathroom. You could also take in the views from the front of the home where you could easily sit and maybe read a book. Check-out was smooth and we will definitely miss this place. This will be my go to place when coming back to Nuwara Eliya!

We had an incredibly relaxed and satisfying stay at Rajiv’s place. It’s hard to believe this charming bungalow is 144 years old, thanks to Rajiv’s meticulous upkeep while preserving its colonial charm in every corner. Ideally located in Nuwara Eliya, it’s a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind. The hospitality was exceptional—caretakers Lasantha, Pradeep, and the team went above and beyond, from welcoming us with tea to preparing amazing dinners. They even let me join in and cook, which I thoroughly enjoyed! A special thanks to Rajiv for personally staying an extra hour to greet us and give us a tour of the property before leaving. Highly recommend this beautiful place for an unforgettable getaway!

Our stay at this bungalow was nothing short of amazing! The property is spacious, well-maintained, and offers breathtaking views, making it the perfect escape from the city. The presence of friendly dogs added a warm and homely touch to the experience. Sanjoy, the caretaker, was extremely helpful and ensured we had a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the bathtub, which made for a relaxing retreat after a long day. Given the amenities, space, and hospitality, this place is an absolute steal for the price. Wir haben uns von der ersten Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem komfortablen, großen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Es liegt am Ende einer ruhigen Seitenstraße mit einem tollen Blick über das Tal und den Fluss bis zu den Bergen. Sakunthala hat uns supernett begrüßt und alles getan dafür, dass wir uns gut aufgenommen fühlten. Sie ist darüber hinaus auch eine gute Köchin die uns bestes Essen serviert hat. Auch die Hausbesitzer Aude und Ariyam, die wir später kennenlernen durften, sind sehr nett und waren immer bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so bequem wie möglich zu gestalten. Das einzige, was wir bereuen, ist, dass wir nur drei Tage gebucht hatten und dann weiterreisen mussten. Sehr gerne würden wir nochmal kommen. Vielen Dank für alles! Katharina

This beautiful cottage is small, and perfect for a small family. Since Nuwera Eliya gets a bit cold at night, the cozy bed rooms and the blankets provided by Thidasala came to our rescue. His father took care of us so well, since Thidasala was not in town when we visited. We appreciate that. The view from the room of the Gregory Lake is brilliant. The wifi is good. We had a small kitchen as well. The bathroom was clean and we had hot water. This place is perfect for a small family who wants to enjoy the city, and not be in the rush. Their hospitality was amazing. 5 star from me.

Vi hade några underbara dagar på soma land. Mr Gamage och hans fru hade inte kunnat vara mer omtänksamma och hjälpsamma. Vi tog en dagstur upp på teplantagen som hör till huset och fick uppleva fantastisk natur och fina vyer. Mr Gamage månade verkligen om att vi skulle ha en så bra resa som möjligt och att vi skulle få uppleva riktig Sri lankesisk kultur. Värdparet skjutsades oss en hel dag till Lions rock, lagade väldigt god mat, tog med oss till en tefabrik och såg personligen till att vi kom fram till vårt nästa boende som låg 7 timmar bort. Vi hade inte kunnat blivit mer omhändertagna. Utöver det kommer ni i detta boende få uppleva ett fantastiskt hus med mycket historia, en fin pool och djungeln runt hörnet. Vi ger våra varmaste rekommendationer.

What an amazing experience. I am not a guy of many words, but this stay was truly made incredible by Anushka’s family! Their motto is : “home away from home” and we truly felt that! Chandra spoke perfect english and we had such an interesting conversation with him during dinner and also breakfast about buddhism, philosophy and life. Incredibly warm, welcoming people! We stayed in the mud chalet which was a cute space for 2 of us, perfect for a peaceful stay. We would highly recommend staying here, thank you for the kindness! Small side note: the google maps link puts the entrance roughly 50meters off the actual location, so call Anushka when you arrive:)

Great place to stay, great views, quiet setting, house is huge and bedrooms even bigger. Food prepared by Raja, Darshan and Rani was such a luxury and very good. I highly recommend Soshana’s home, our family of 13 all really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Soshana.

Fantastic home and some great help from Danuo and Praba who cooked some fantastic food and were always there to help and offer services and information . Praba was a great Caddy ! Overall a fantastic host, house helps and definitely recommend for families and friends coming to Victoria

A true retreat, nestled in the mountains. think stunning views, tranquility, wild peacocks and monkeys,but not a handy location to sight see from. Map was misleading and Haputhale is an hour away. Rooms are simple with delightful antiques. Staff are very courteous but have very limited English. Food was simple and delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. Make sure you book meals in advance. They kindly arranged a delicious birthday cake for us. Beautiful gardens with architectural features everywhere, lovely views, good swimming pool but lacking any comfortable seating. A truly unique place to get away from modern life.

Amazing room, spectacular views and delicious breakfast. Hariharan and the staff are great. you will always find them smiling. the resort is heaven for couples.

This was by far one of the most beautiful airbnbs I have been to! The staff were incredibly helpful and the house itself was gorgeous. Thank you and I hope to be back again!
