We loved the unique venue. Great decor and very well thought out as to what was needed for your stay. The traffic noise is loud from the passing cars but we had expected this due to the other reviews. But a delightful weekend away with great things to do locally.

Thank you for hosting us. The place was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. Bonus few toys for the kids to play with and bonus perk coffee for us parents in the AM! Comfortable beds and felt very homely. Lovely place and would stay again. Thank you!

This sweet 2 bdm apt hosted by Ruth was just lovely, it was absolutely spotless and we had everything we needed. Our group of 3 adults were truly comfortable in the spacious lounge and we will come back here next time we are visiting our relatives in Snells Beach. The location is perfect, just a few meters from the beach. We really enjoy the balcony and the spaciousness of the apartment. While it is starting to show its age and could benefit from some renovations soon, it is still in good living condition. The host couple is very friendly.

We stayed at Roy’s Bayview Apartment for two nights during our Bay of Islands trip, and honestly - it was perfect. The property is beautifully kept, spacious and has the kind of views you just can’t stop staring at. Waking up to those views was such a treat. It felt private, quiet, luxurious and incredibly cosy. Roy was a thoughtful and communicative host, providing all the details we needed and going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. You can tell a lot of care has gone into making the apartment feel welcoming. It was the perfect base for exploring Paihia, Russell and Waitangi, but also ideal for just slowing down and soaking up the calm. We visited here with our 3 month old and it was fantastic, well appointed & equipped place. It was tastefully decorated & had a calm atmosphere, it was more roomy than we expected which was great. 10 mins walk to beach, beautiful view over golf course & estuary. Great experience would recommend!! And definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Joan's. Beautiful views, nice and very clean. Quiet and provided everything you need. Highly recommend and would stay again when passing by.

Doves Bay was a wonderful place to unwind. Such a treat to wake up to the beautiful view. We loved having breakfast on the deck in the morning sun, watching the tuis and fantails flit through the garden. Even heard kiwis calling at night, and the stars on a clear night are incredible. There’s a lovely walk down to the beach. Ivan and Vivienne were lovely, thoughtful hosts and the place was well-equipped, superbly clean and very comfortable.

What a fabulous place to stay! A beautiful location overlooking the bay. We saw two orca in the bay on our first night, which was amazing. The accommodation is wonderful. Fabulous furnishings with beautiful sculptures and art on the walls. We arrived to find a selection of wines, chocolates, home-made biscuits and granola, as well as some wonderful ham, cheese, OJ and other useful fridge staples. Communication with Heather was great, with plenty of helpful information about the local area. Absolutely perfect - thank you!

We were extremely comfortable here in this apartment and the attention to detail in accommodating guests was excellent. We fully appreciated the excellent design of the place, including the layout, the double glazed windows and doors, the lighting and the beautifully appointed kitchen. The filtered water from the fridge was an absolute bonus. We both agreed that the beds were among the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and the outlook was lovely. The large verandah gave us a really great sense of space. We loved staying here and would have been happy to stay longer.

We loved everything about this property and couldn’t fault anything at all. The location, the cleanliness and amenities, everything was perfect. We would definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Shelley’s place the house was exactly as described but even better inside than we expected. We loved having fresh eggs and bread on arrival along with fruit and lots of other goodies. Shelley was so helpful and kind our entire stay and always in touch immediately when we need to ask something. The location is only a 20 min walk into town along the beach or over the the hill depending on the tides. It’s a great place to stay to explore the Bay of Islands!

Lovely apartment, looks much nicer in person than in the photos. The main bedroom upstairs with the ensuite has beautiful views. Our kids loved the pools, the big pool is now salt water and not as hot as described but this was perfect for the kids. Would stay again!

Great location - walkable to Paihia waterfront but away from the bustle of the main road. It was very clean and had everything we needed including kitchen utensils. The bathroom was nice and spacious with the spa being a very nice bonus.

Back home in Wellington but wish I was still at Paul and Nuttha's. Paul and Nuttha were great hosts and their place was amazing; gorgeous garden, good location and an immaculately presented place that was comfortable with all the trimmings. The beds were so comfy it was easy to drop off after a day of sightseeing. Excellent amenities (bathroom, kitchen, tea/coffee & breakfast stuff, parking, TV etc.). Paul and Nuttha are thoughtful hosts who were welcoming, accommodating and generous. Nuttha's cakes are the best and Paul's tips on what to see and do are saved us a lot of time. We were even able to pick persimmons to take home and Paul let us take cuttings from his garden! Will definitely book again if I'm up there again in the future. Thank you Paul and Nuttha for the lovely stay!

Truly excellent stay, Ian and Sue were lovely and the apartment so comfy and clean. We can’t wait to stay there again. Definitely do not miss the sunrise and the hidden beach!

It was my first family holiday since 2017. The AirBnB was a new experience for me, but the hosts were respectful and their place was wonderful! I was able to bring our 2 x dogs which was great and I took them for a walk every morning, greeting others with their dogs on the way. My adult children loved being able to hang out at the beach and sit in the hot tub or use the kayaks on offer. My husband unfortunately worked every day but was able to enjoy to peace and quiet at night. Having a washing machine was practical and saved my workload when we returned home. We visited Charlies Gelato which was yum and I was able to purchase some beautiful wine from Brick Bay vineyard. Matakana was disappointing it felt like Auckland with long lines of traffic and expensive products however, the lady at Honest Chocolate was lovely. We fished off Scotts Landing and caught 5 legal snapper. All in all, I would highly recommend this AirBnB, absolutely the best holiday in a very long time. Thank you.
