We usually stay during the winter (which is so peaceful and beautiful) but were thrilled to have a chance to stay during some warm weather during the kids spring break. We were able to fish, catch some crabs, kayak, enjoy walks and play on the "beach". We had a blast and are so grateful for the beautiful weather and peaceful retreat. Thank you for sharing your bit of paradise with us!

Can't say enough good things about this place! It is absolutely stunning and in a beautiful setting. The house was so charming, cozy, and impeccably clean. It was thoughtfully stocked with water, wine, snacks, and firewood. Karen is a wonderful host — so friendly, responsive, and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

The place was beautiful, clean, & cozy. Loved all of the amenities, and the view to the lake was really nice. This was my first time booking an Airbnb, and it did not disappoint! I would book it again in the future!

The Escape Hatch is the perfect get away. It's location is private and quiet but yet it is not far from numerous area activities. The large deck has gorgeous views of the lake and can accommodate all your guests. The house is very well stocked with pretty much everything you will need. The hosts are very responsive and easy to deal with, making our stay very easy and comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit.

We took a small vacation with my sister’s family and we loved the location. Our kids enjoyed the small play area in the basement with the arcade machine and foosball table. We cooked every night and they had all useful appliances. We used the Ninja air fryer and Keurig machine every day. Since we went in January after a snowstorm the road was a little hazardous to use and the lake was completely frozen, so we spent most times indoors. We did enjoy going to the dock and looking at the frozen lake. This will be a great place to visit during the summer, they had Kayaks to use and a nice dock to jump from and fish. We would definitely come back.

This house is perfect for large groups. It is very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the serene natural beauty of the Creek and observing the local birdlife, including Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. The house is situated very near to the entrance of Lookout Point State Park which we greatly enjoyed exploring on bicycles. Seeing a large wedge of Tundra Swans fly overhead was a special moment. If you want to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful setting in a beautiful and very interesting area with a large group, this house will serve you well.

Lovely spot. Beautiful views. Excellent kitchen and living space with really nice bedrooms. Slept six very comfortably. Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at Stonewall Manor at Keystone! The scenery was absolutely beautiful with horses all around and gorgeous views everywhere. It was the perfect spot for us, just a few steps from great fishing, where we caught bluegill, crappie, and small bass. We traveled with our 1-year-old son and loved taking strolls along the gravel roads. Very great location, everything seemed to be within 20-30 minutes. (Zoo/food/shops) Tina was incredibly responsive, when our WiFi cut out and affected our baby monitor, she immediately moved the router closer to help. Tina was so nice, friendly, all the above! Highly recommend this place and host!

The place was better than we even imaged! We had such a wonderful vacation. So much space and in an excellent location. Everyone was very helpful and check in was easy. Thank you!

I enjoyed my stay and was surprised when John on his own sent me a list of things to do and restaurants around the area. He was very helpful to make sure I had all I needed in the house. The place was clean and well maintained. No complaints, definitely recommend if you want to be near DC but not stay in the DC area to rest.

Holly’s place was perfect for my long term stay. She was an excellent host, very responsive and thought of the small details. Location is superb! Great restaurants nearby and beautiful water view.

We’ve stayed at several of the units in this same complex, Kelly’s was by far the nicest. Can’t beat the view of sunsets on the patio!

Our stay was lovely! The property is quiet and peaceful. The apartment is right above the roosters so we could hear them crow every morning, but it didn't bother us. The parking is a bit of a walk from the apartment, but everything was clearly labeled and easy to find. The kitchen had basic pots and pans, plates and bowls, and utensils. But did not have things like cooking oil, salt/pepper, etc. It didn't hinder our stay, but these are mentioned in the listing, so it was noted. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Very responsive was always willing to accommodate! Any question I had, he responded quickly and always had an answer! Very very clear and nice!

Charming Cape Charles getaway! I was so happy to find this gem and even more thrilled when I arrived. From the beautiful landscape of the gated community, to the southern charm of this glorious suite…I wanted for nothing. This enormous suite has all the comforts of home and the location was spectacular. The property offered not only a private beach on the bay , a community pool, a beautiful well maintained golf course, it was also a short drive to the charming town of Cape Charles. Dawn offered endless advice to her favorite restaurants, activities to do and places to see while we visited. She was just a text or call away if I needed anything. Her hospitality was beyond measure. I look forward to coming back.

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

We loved our stay at Janet’s place! She was incredibly easy to communicate with, and the house was absolutely perfect—comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We especially enjoyed being nestled into Ewell, with convenient access to the water, shops, food, and golf cart rentals. It made for a truly relaxing and memorable getaway.

The cabin was so beautiful! so clean and comfortable! the views were spectacular! one of the most relaxing vacations that we ever took! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!!

This was our second stay with Bob and Lolly in Tall Timbers, and it did not disappoint! Immersed in books and history, this quaint cottage was the perfect getaway. We are looking forward to our next visit!

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The cottage is completely remodeled and provides a great space for a small family to interact and enjoy the lake. We had a mix of cooking on the Blackstone/kitchen and eating at some of the local restaurants on the lake. Christine and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful week on the lake. We used paddleboards and rented boats and wave runners from the local marinas. Smores by the fire pit were a bonus!

I wish I could have stayed longer! The house was beautiful with so many thoughtful touches. Andrew’s place was clean, spacious, and had the most gorgeous views of the water. The highlight of our stay was the outdoor spaces! We loved eating outside on the spacious deck, drinking morning coffee on the lounge chairs, and going for multiple paddles in the provided kayaks and paddle boards. I hope to book again soon!

This property is magical. Everything I have imagined and more since I discovered it more than 10 years ago. So thankful I finally got to experience it.
