Alojamientos vacacionales en North Bank Division

We loved our stay at Auberge La Praline in Toubakouta. The accommodation was simple but clean and pleasant, and very spacious. The pool was wonderful and the kids loved playing in it. Above all there was a friendly atmosphere and this is a relatively small and intimate place to stay. Toubakouta is a beautiful small town and well worth a visit, but the expert suggestions of Yéyé (apologies if i've spelt it wrong) about what to do and offers to help arranging excursions, drivers, boat tours are well worth your time. All the staff were helpful, friendly and laid back and we really enjoyed our stay here.

Voor wie de Gambiaanse cultuur niet kent valt het wellicht, bij de eerste kennismaking, wat tegen. De verwachtingen van Europeanen liggen anders .Er is geen stromend water en nog geen elektriciteit.Een tafel gebruiken ze niet.Stoelen zijn schaars. Het is even aanpassen. Maar…het loont voorwie openstaat voor het leren kennen van een andere cultuur. De mensen zijn zeer hartelijk maar beseffen uiteraard niet hoe wij leven. Water haal je uit de waterput. Breng zeker mee: toiletpapier, muskietennet,een legerbekkentje om je te wassen,handdoek en spiegeltje en zaklampen, bestek indien nodig. Een kussen kan handig zijn.Wat kan je nog gebruiken :Wasknijpers, en zeep en een katoenen slaapzak.Het eten was zeer lekker. Het avondeten wordt soms opgediend in het donker. Een vast etensuur is moeilijk vast te leggen. Wat we als extra kregen,Iedere avond kampvuur,daarnaast eens tamtam initiative met gezang ,coconootpluk, oesterpluk.Ik mocht met hen wassen,koken en in de tuin werken

位于一个村镇，不是很热闹，这条街上有几家酒店，白天的时候路上都有点冷清，十分安静美丽，适合度假，离海滩很近，设施虽然不是很新，但是干净整洁，在这个区域性价比很高。你可以步行大概700/600米去巴考，坐上25d两人的小巴士，再中转一站或两站去市区。

If you are the kind of traveler whose purpose and travel is to take delight in the serendipitous experiences that you might encounter along your way, you will adore Celine‘s place. The experience we had staying there will be one, I am certain, I will cherish for the rest of my life. Celine‘s hospitality was unmatched. She spent time with each guest personally and shared her passion for hospitality. The accommodations were comfortable and provided everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and expertly maintained. But what stood out the most was the communal meal each morning and night, where Celine’s expert cooking reflected in every single thing that we ate or drank. Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you would all can.

Peaceful cottage with a beautiful garden which many local birds visit - my best pictures are made from the terrace. Ousmane helped us organize trips to see the local wildlife and guided us to the restaurants and shops when we needed anything. He knows his surroundings well and is always hospitable, friendly and helpful. The cottage has everything we needed for a few days: bathroom, fridge and good beds to ensure proper rest. Also kitchen is available, though we ate out so didn’t get to test it. I recommend warmly to stay here during your trip to Toubacouta, everything is within walking distance and when you need a scooter ride, Ousmane helps you organize it. He also explains to your driver where you need to get out and how to reach the place to ensure easy arrival.

Highly recommended! Tony, the host, and his family were very welcoming and he even picked me up by car (free of charge and happily) when I arrived at the approximate location of the accommodation, as shown by AirBnB. That approximate location is actually 900 metres from the apartment, something I have contacted AirBnB about - as it makes it a longer walk than expected if you are travelling by foot to or from the bus station at Serrekunda for the buses to/from Banjul in Gambia. The room and furnishings are nothing special but Tony's charisma, the helpfulness of his staff/family and the general ambience, including the very small swimming pool to dip in after a hot day, made it quite special.

Ik ben langer gebleven dan de bedoeling. de natuur is er erg mooi. wandeling langs de rivier met krapjes, bergen lege oesters en mangrove gezien. onverwachts een leuke boot tochtje gemaakt met 1 van de bootjes daar. wil je naar een dorp of stad zoals banjul is dat goed te doen. de wegen zijn daar hobbelig maar het is mij allemaal erg meegevallen.haddy de host is in 1 woord GEWELDIG! W helpt je graag en gaat bv ook met je mee om inkopen te doen en kookt graag voor je. Dankje ibrima. tot de volgende x

Majar hat uns direkt vom Flughafen abgeholt, so hatten wir im dunkeln keine Schwierigkeiten die Unterkunft zu finden. Dank Solarpannels gab es keine Stromausfälle und auch der Wasserdruck ist Dank Tank gut. Alles liebevoll und heimelig. Der Orangenbauch ein schöner grüner Schattenplatz. Die Kommunikation mit Rosanna war super, vor Ort war dan Majar freundlich und hilfsbereit. Highlight als Mama mit drei Kindern: es gibt eine Waschmaschine!
