We stayed at the House by the Locks as part of a family vacation in February 2025 and had a fantastic time. This is a unique heritage home that takes "historic character" to a whole new level. It was beautifully furnished, spacious for our party of 6, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. We used it as home base for doing winter activities at Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks, and it was a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Check-in/out was easy, and the host was friendly and responsive. 10/10. Highly recommended!

Great, sizeable place. Great location. Good condition. Had some toys available for our kids which was helpful! Kitchen was a great size and very well equipped. We’ll definitely try to book this place again when we return to North Bay.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Reghan's place was absolutely amazing. As described this place offers everything you could need to feel like at home. We had the best time at Huntsville, Muskoka, there's lots to do but coking back to rest to this beautiful place made it even more special. would recommend 100%

We stayed for one night only and Joan’s place was just lovely, the apartment was very spacious and clean looking out to the lake. I would definitely stay again and longer!

The perfect getaway! It’s so cozy feels like you’re at home. The property has everything you would need for a short- term or a long -term stay- lots of linen, toiletries, utensils and kitchen appliances. Esteban was a very good and responsive host. There are a few fast food chains around that are open till 12am, and grocery and convenience stores are right around. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

This Lake Nipissing rental was very much what we were looking for to do an ice fishing outing for 6 mostly retired guys – it was almost directly in from Lonely Island (about 1.5k walk). The actual cottage is very large, and it was nice having 2 ½ baths. The kitchen is very big with a huge island that also works as a pub height dinning area and there are tons of cabinets with all of the kitchen utensils/accessories you’ll need to make great meals. There are a few rough areas, which comes from a lot of use (e.g., trim work, a few chips, dents and worn chairs, shower heads, etc.), but for a northern cottage rental I would say it would be 4 to 4.5 stars and for an ice fishing choice I must give it 5 stars. I will very much consider this location again if we decide to do another ice fishing trip to this location again in the future and if you were doing a non-winter trip, I’m sure this location would be a perfect area with boat access and placement on the water for a large family outing.

Ballard Cabin was the perfect getaway! It has a warm, rustic hunting cabin vibe that made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The space is incredibly cozy, with a super comfy couch and a great collection of books to browse through. The kitchen was amazing—fully stocked with everything we needed to cook a gourmet meal. The location was also perfect: just minutes from town and a short drive to Arrowhead Provincial Park, where we spent the weekend skating. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! Thanks, Luca!

Great place to stay with your family. Everything was clean and organized prior to our arrival. We came during an ice storm, and the host cleaned the driveway for us and provided salt to make sure our safe stay! Wonderful experience, will recommend this place to anyone who's going to Huntsville !

We had a great weekend at this cottage! The cottage was clean, cozy, spacious. It had everything we needed for a fun filled weekend. The hot tub, pool table and ping pong table were just some of the highlights of this cottage. Amanda was very accommodating and responsive. She provided all the information needed in order to have the best time. The location was ideal, very peaceful, surrounded by nature, lots of privacy. Overall, this cottage was a perfect escape from the city. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an enjoyable getaway. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful March break week at Mark and Betty's. It's like living in an art gallery! The view was beautiful and a very peaceful and private location. My daughter loved the rooms and toys downstairs and we really appreciated the modern kitchen and fantastic fireplace.

This place was perfect for our family of 4 and we had friends of ours for a night that is also a family of 4. Plenty of space and the cottage was great for letting the kids roam to play. The property is big and has lots of outside play area. We went during winter so no pool time. But the hot tub was perfect. I took my snowmobile up and was able to do a couple day rides right from the cottage. Less than 10 minutes to the Sequin Trail. Communication with Raja (Owner) and Agatha (property manager) was fantastic. Very prompt on responding. And I will add, there was a minor issue with the on-demand hot water heater (that was out of everyone’s control) and they had people in almost immediately to look at it. It was a minor inconvenience to say the least, but they refunded us a full nights stay. Now that’s what I call a good gesture. We will not hesitate to return to the cottage. We absolutely love the inside and the coziness it brings.

Hi, I am sorry, I was busy for the last couple of days and couldn't respond to any mail regarding the reservation. I have already paid 225$ cleaning fee on the reservation and I had no idea that the host would ask an additional 250$ for all the little stains on the floor (I thought they were covered in the cleaning fee). I have been to many Airbnb's and never been asked such a kind of amount for cleaning. He is charging for a new pot because we forgot to wash it, and it was already kind of damaged when we took it out. I am sure I am not such a kind of host who breaks furniture in other houses (we didn't even touch the cupboards). If he is still insisting on the amount I don't mind you, taking it out of my credit card. I had a great time staying there and do not want to ruin that experience with this issue. This place is absolutely breathtaking, being right on the lake, the view was beautiful from morning to night time. Usman was also an amazing host who responded to all our questions and concerns in timely manner before and during our stay. Could not recommend this host and their place enough. Our family of 13 had an amazing Christmas/ new years getaway. Cynthias home is beautiful and was accurately described on the site . There was enough room for all of us to sleep comfortably and enough sitting areas that we were not crowded in anyway. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable . The kitchen was stocked with everything we could’ve ever required plus more, I think it was our favourite space to hang out in overlooking the water . The location was picturesque and had the weather cooperated would’ve had ample outdoor activities. We enjoyed watching football , lounging by the fire and playing pool . Cynthia was very helpful and prompt with every question that I had and made us feel welcome . Thank you for a memorable family new years .

My second visit to this very comfortable, snug, and warm cabin with an excellent wood furnace. Having a warm and dry place for the night made hiking in November so much more enjoyable. Shawna is a delightful host. Though it is an hour and a half to Kilarney Park, it is an easy and pleasant drive with little traffic. En route, nearby Noelville has a wonderful coop grocery store with much in addition to groceries, though it closes about 5:00 pm or so.

I had a wonderful solo experience at Catherine's cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything I needed to cook simple delicious meals. BBQ for dinners and the frying pan was perfect for breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, which you can enjoy from the private dock or from the cabin. It was only a 15 minute drive away from beautiful hikes and the grocery store or butcher. Very grateful to have found this place and will definitely come back.

Sarah's place was just as described and pictured. Such a beautiful well decorated and cozy place. It had all the amenities listed. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in North Bay. Would definitely stay again!

The hosts were very helpful and provided almost everything we needed for our stay. You can borrow games, activities, boots and more from the trading post. We definitely overpacked. It’s hard to find places like this that are pet friendly. We will come back again.

The Airbnb was a lovely place to visit. The cottage was clean, it had a beautiful dock with great water activities and an amazing view. As a host Kandice was very attentive, respectful and flexible. As mentioned in the listing, a four wheel drive vehicle is definitely needed in order to access this cottage, as the hill to the cottage is very steep. I will also mention that the neighbor was quite unwelcoming to us as a group of mid twenty year olds but this does not take away the fact that Kandice was able to step in and make sure we felt comfortable in her space. Overall my friends and I had a great time catching up at her cottage and would recommend it to others.

We had an excellent family winter weekend getaway! We did some ice fishing, snowmobiling and skating/hockey down the road at the local ODR. The cottage was a great spot for our family and we will definitely go back and would love to try it in the summer months. Thanks for sharing your cottage with us!
