The place was beautiful and private with great views and not too far away. Linda & Michael were wonderful. They were very nice, helpful and ready to meet any need to make our stay relaxing and memorable. We look forward to going back in the future.

Carey's cabin was exactly what my family needed after long hours in the car and stressful business engagement .It was perfectly located just a short drive from Winston Salem and between two of the most beautiful State Parks which we are able to explore. My children loved playing the board games provided, roasting smores under the stars and waking up to deer crossing the property and a spectacular sunrise. The cabin itself is filled with the warmth of the hands that made it,we are thankful that we were blessed with an opportunity to share a few days in her special place !

We were so excited to see the views and meet the horses . The land here is beautiful and we were excited to see the horses right next to the guest house, either through the window or across the fence. The view of the valley is very relaxing. Donna is very responsive and has great information about how to find the guest house, which is off the beaten track, which is what we were seeking. We appreciated the snacks and drinks available when we arrived, especially for a quick breakfast of oatmeal, cereal, and milk since we had not brought the breakfast foods we needed. The guest house is spacious, bright, and open inside. Easy to relax on couch and big chairs, plus a desk / table for when we needed it. We enjoyed talking to Donna's family about the farm and horses. Thank you for a great stay!

We love staying here and have so many great family memories in this house! It feels like home away from home and we're excited to visit again. The house beautiful and the surroundings are, too.

I can't say enough good things about The Wandering Goat Lodge. The apartment is spacious with many comfortable throw blankets (our favorite!), room to cuddle up and watch TV, and my VT student felt right at home with all the VT fan gear! We delighted in feeding the goats and the donkeys, all of whom had over-the-top personalities. This will definitely be our go-to stay for VT visits while our kiddo is at school.

An absolutely beautiful home set in the rolling farmlands. Exactly what we were looking for. Close to the awesome town of Floyd.

Serenity is a great place, the views are speechless, the silent at night, you get stress free, you can watch the stars at night getting warm with the fireplace. the Cabin has EVERYTHING you need to have a very comfortable stay. Enough room, TV in every room, and if you are a cooker like me, kitchen has everything you need to cook! We enjoyed Deers watch and feed them. It's a perfect place for staying away from traffic, loud city noises, everyday routine. peaceful place. Highly recommend it. Also there's a town like 15 driving you can buy groceries.

We can't put into words how awesome the silo was, Karen and Bill put their hearts into every inch of this beautiful property. From the secret hiding spot treasure hunt to the tour of their private residence. To see the workmanship that went into this one of a kind stay takes my breath away. This is the type of property that we will not only be back too but we will tell everyone we know of they want to relax on a beautiful farm and have a great time they must come at least once. My friend and I stayed here and it was so nice. The view was awesome. The donkeys, what can I say, they are adorable and so friendly!! This was the highlight of my trip. The property is beautiful! Marianne was awesome. She was very informative and always responded quickly. If you are considering this place for your stay, you will not regret it.

Dave and Amy have created a tremendous getaway at the solitudes. We plan on returning regularly, if possible. Our stay put Radford on a list of places to retire we loved it so much!

We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage had a peaceful, garden-like charm that made it feel like a true retreat. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful—everything we could possibly need was provided, and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. It was cozy, comfortable, and felt instantly welcoming. One of our favorite features was the wood stove. It added so much warmth (literally and emotionally!) and made the evenings feel extra special. We’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a calm and cozy getaway.

this house is soo beautiful! right on a farm, you feel like you are in Appalachian paradise. the friendly dog there to greet you, beautiful horses grazing, and a bonus of some adorable rescue bunnies made this airbnb ideal for animal lovers. host was amazing and gave us free roam of their property, even offering to start a bonfire for us if we wanted. would definitely recommend and would book the next time I am in the area

I stayed at Kent’s place for the three-day hiking trip. His is superlative! A huge kitchen with Bosch Thermador cooktop, free breakfast items, plush bath towels, very quiet and beautiful surroundings, etc. So far, this is my best Airbnb stay in the U.S. Thank you very much.

Gorgeous location with a big deck right over the creek. Unique place, and low-impact--composting toilet was easy to learn. We were in and out one night but we could picture a lot more time out on that deck. Diana is very friendly and helpful, and it's a great farm stay: chickens and goats and two very friendly dogs. More space to sleep than you'd expect: we had two adults on the first floor futon and a 10-year-old and 12-year-old were able to share the loft bed.

I came to the Ramblin Wombat with my dog for some peace and relaxation. The cabin was exactly as described- peaceful, quiet, secluded, and dog friendly. Would definitely stay again if I'm in the area

Visiting the Farm was such a wonderful way to spend my time away from home while attending HighPoint Market. The location and the house itself, was perfectly charming and had just the right detail in making someone feel right at home. It was charming, and very clean. Karen had put small labels in which helped direct where and what those most common items needed throughout the house. Also, a well thought out printed magazine about the Farmhouse also gave the story of the home and its owners, as well as a list of unique local outdoor activities to partake during your stay. I highly recommend anyone to try this home for when you are needing a place to stay. You will not be disappointed. Karen was both kind, responsive and very accommodating during my stay. I give this an overall rating of 4.5 stars. I hope to bring my husband next time around when I am attending the next Market.

could not have asked for better hosts. we had some issues with the water and they were very quick to come check it out even though it was working by the time he got there , extremely sweet people. hope to stay again soon!

Peach Bottom was AMAZING! Me and 5 girls went for an intentional Bible study weekend and it was exactly that. Place was clean. Had all the appliances needed. So many beds. So many places to sit and hang out. It was WONDERFUL. Erika and family were so kind and always responded. They also have cows all over the property so we took a lot of walks to check them out!! Will definitely be coming back!!

A perfect, quiet and relaxing stay. The house was exactly as shown in photos, even decorated for Easter. It was stocked with absolutely everything you could want or need. It even had to go coffee cups :) Molly was an excellent host, responsive, kind, welcoming and genuinely wanted to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommend this location for a stay if you are in the area. We didnt have a chance to use the welcoming firepit and have smores, but would encourage everyone to enjoy if your schedule permits.

Great choice for a peaceful stay. Cute house on beautiful property. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment. House is clean. Great for families that want to focus on quality time.

The cabin is aptly named—it is right by the New River. I suspect in summer, you’d be lucky to get this place, since it’d be excellent for river access. We got to chill out in mid-April, thanks both to cold weather & the peaceful, scenic surroundings. The cabin is charming & comfortable & just as pictured. We slept delightfully well in the queen beds. The kitchen has a wealth of dishes, cookware, utensils, etc., plus some spices & fridge items on hand. The dining area looks out on the mountains. Although we didn’t use them much because of the cold, there’s a front & a side porch with nice views. Everything was spotlessly clean, & Danielle was a gracious & responsive host. Note: there is no WiFi, but we managed using our phones as hot spots. Cell service was generally okay. The town of Independence is only about 10 minutes away, & it has a marvelous grocery store. We enjoyed delicious pizza at Ciro’s, & we’d recommend Powerhouse Falls for an outdoor adventure.

We absolutely loved our stay! Perfect for some down time! Beautiful landscape to sit out on the porch and enjoy from the swing bed! Definitely will be returning this summer with our grands to enjoy fishing and swimming in the pond!

My wife and I, and our 4 children stayed at Sallly's place on our return trip from our vacation in Florida. Sally accommodated us so smoothly that it took all the stress out of our long days drive. Sally made it so easy for us by reaching out with clear instructions. Arriving at her place was like arriving home a day early. It's too bad we were not able to stay longer; the property is beautiful and looks like a lot of fun, especially in the summer with a great big pond.
