Jim’s place was great, with plenty to see in the area. We ended up spending most of the time enjoying the little beach and kayaks. Very cute house with plenty of room and we’ll stocked kitchen. The grill made for a perfect Labor Day cookout looking out at the water. Would stay again.

This place is beyond beautiful! The view is so tranquil. I will definitely be coming back !

The house was beautiful and scenery breathtaking. We loved watching the ice fishing, skating and go carting on the lake! We even went out on the frozen lake! It was close to my daughter’s home in Voluntown…. Only 4 minutes away! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond as we were there to celebrate my granddaughters’ first birthday! They left a gift for her and some welcome gifts for us too! Amazing!! They brought a table and chairs for extra seating!! Phil and Staci were amazing hosts and always responsive. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Laurie s place is very nice, spacious and clean. Plenty of space to eat, hang out and 2 bath. The fenced in yard is great for dogs or kids. We weren't in full summer season so we're not taking advantage of the beach and water options but they offer alot. Allowed for an early check in which was great as we were in town for a memorial service.

I have stayed at lots of places in the last few years . . . and this place ranks right at the top. It is beyond beautiful. The water views from the living room and both bedrooms made it hard to leave and come home. It's actually even more amazing than the pictures. Don't think twice! Book this place now!

Great spot to stay and enjoy the local area. Beautiful view of the water. Great spots inside and outside the home to sit and take in the views too! Perfect for a family of four.

Amazing house with amazing views from both decks of beautiful estuary & wonderful wildlife. Estuary is connected to ocean and we enjoyed using owners’ boats to paddle out and explore! 5 Stars!

The location and Shana’s house were amazing! It’s even better than the pictures. Shana has created a clean ,beautiful, welcoming and cozy place that makes you feel at home! The house has everything you may need and even more. But most of all is that view of the lake through the huge windows all around the house! Thank you, Shana! Looking forward to visiting this special place again in the spring!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay— cozy house with everything we needed, beautiful and clean water for swimming and private location. The couch was a little uncomfortable for long sitting or napping but otherwise the house was very comfortable and generously met our group’s needs.

This was our 2nd stay at the Lake Cottage. The cottage is the perfect size, very clean and well kept. The view from inside and from the patio of the lake is stunning! Reb is the perfect host - ready with suggestions of where to eat, etc. if we didn't feel like cooking. Relaxing indoors or out was refreshing - just what we needed. We hope to make it there a 3rd time next year.

This was our second stay here and it was just as nice as the first. Really responsive host and we love sitting outside at night with a drink enjoying the beautiful view. Nice spot where you don't even need to drive anywhere if you want to experience Mystic and even the seaport if you are up for a 20 minute walk. A+ again, thanks so much!

Had a great stay at this little Gem, although it's not exactly little! with the sun room, front and back patio and space on the beach, there was plenty of space to be enjoyed no matter the weather. The cottage was clean and quiet and would definitely recommend to other guests visiting this part of CT.

The cottage was beautiful and the hospitality was just perfect. Will stay again and highly recommend. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and trails.

We very much enjoyed our stay on Amston Lake! We are always looking for comfortable places for our 3 person family to stay near relatives in Colchester CT. Amos' place fit the bill! The beds were comfortable, the amenities perfectly met our needs and the home was very comfortable. My only regret is that we were out visiting most of the time and did not get to spend enough time enjoying the beautiful lake and natural surroundings! We are likely to return.

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

While I have stayed at AirBNB’s before, I never rented one myself so I was nervous. But as it turns out, my experience couldn’t have been any better. Communicating with Tim was easy and he was responsive. The cabin itself looked amazing online and was even better in person. From the cleanliness, to the peacefulness, to all the small touches Tim put into our stay, it couldn’t have been any better. He even has the cutest dog. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was but I think you just have to experience it to understand. One last thing - try the bakery he recommends. Trust me.

Great spot. We weren’t there to take advantage of the little marina and kayaks— though that would have been cool! Had a weekend event in New London and this was very easy, super straightforward and quiet. Thank you, Paul!

Marilyn was wonderful! The home was so cozy and we enjoyed it. She was very kind, gave great recommendations and always answered promptly. There are beautiful trails to walk and a fire pit!! One of my favorite places I have stayed. I highly recommend if you want a peaceful and cozy stay.

Great lakeside retreat! Perfect for our small family!

What a gorgeous place! As other guests have noted, the photos just don’t do it justice. October is the perfect time to sit on the dock with some coffee and take in the fall foliage.. The house is super cute and well appointed, I think it might be the best stocked kitchen of any Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Lots of lovely plates and glasses and festive little napkins and towels. This was a mom/daughter girls weekend, and everyone was impressed with the toiletries in the bathroom. The house was super clean and the beds were comfy, we can’t wait to go back!

Paul was very responsive. When we got there our room had not been cleaned. We got in touch with him and he immediately switched our room to a clean one which was fine. He was very apologetic and even brought us a bottle of prosecco. The place was cute, modern, and clean. Can't really walk to anything because it's off a busy road but it sits on the river with a beautiful view and many chairs to sit in and enjoy. We made a fire in the fire pit and cooked on the grill one chilly night. It was very nice. Close and convenient to many attractions in the area. We had our dog with us and she enjoyed it too.

Peace. Tranquility. Calm. Come back to nature at Angela's place. We would love to return here in the warmer months to fully enjoy the lake. The inclusion of E.B. White's "Once More to the Lake" in the guestbook was a perfect touch. Angela's place is that piece personified. As I read it sitting in her cabin, I was whisked back to simpler times.
