Private entrance and plenty of space to park. Great area to kayak or canoe (equipment provided for a fee). No pets allowed. Please read house rules before booking.

Earth & Aircrete Dome Home

Creative, unique, cozy and inspiring. This dome is made from aircrete and is finished with clay plaster and an earthen floor. It is a piece of art in every respect and is sure to inspire. It has everything needed to cook food, stay warm and sleep deeply as well as nearby hiking and skiing trails leading to rivers and cliffs. It is heated by a wood stove and has an outdoor composting toilet. We also offer professional massage / reiki treatments as well as fresh vegetables and free range eggs.

Our property is a private & homey spot for those craving a taste of the country but still want to be close to amenities of Pictou. New updates to the unit include new bedroom flooring, new beds, & new refrigerator. Animals on property! Golden Retrievers, chickens, ducks, bunny rabbit & cats. 5-10 min drive to: Pictou, Sobeys, beach, Caribou-PEI Ferry, walk/bike trail. *Please note the 2nd bedroom is ONLY accessible through the first bedroom. Your tiny “bedroom in a field” comes furnished with a cozy queen sized bed, coffee bar, mini fridge, kitchenette, heat pump, BBQ, fire pit, hammock, covered veranda, DETACHED PRIVATE washroom with composting toilet & hot shower, & access to the property’s HotTub.

As a more-affordable option to a hotel, it is the perfect spot to rest for a night or 2 as you explore Nova Scotia. The “Kenzie B” cottage is a newly built cottage with unique features throughout like a sliding steel barn door, a steel shower and old barn beams along the ceiling. The covered veranda off the front of the cottage provides you with stunning views of the tidal river and a private hot tub overlooks the river as well. Swim, boat, float, whatever you wish, the river awaits! We also have a motorized floating picnic table for rent if you'd like to explore the river some more.
