WOW what a house! Stunning property and large! perfect for our family trip with 2 kiddies, having a portacot an toys available was brilliant, two bathrooms made it nice and easy esp with a bath too! Easy check in and clear instructions. Tom and Taya answered all my questions and seeing the book on the entrance table with what the house looked like before they transformed it was incredible! if we are ever in Nelson again this will be my first pick! thank you!

Wir hatten auf unserer Reise durch ganz Neuseeland einige Unterkünfte - die von Tim und Michelle gehört zu den allerbesten. Die Unterkunft ist Tip Top in Ordnung, man hat alles was man braucht (und noch viel mehr): von der Küchenausstattung, den Spielen, den outdoorrmöglichkeiten (freie Fahrräder und Kajaks) sowie der persönlichen Beratung zu möglichen Aktivitäten in der Gegend. Our stay at Diane’s place was fantastic. The home is beautiful, very cute and had everything we needed. Diane is super responsive, helpful and friendly. Couldn’t recommend more.

It felt like home very quickly. Comfy beds. Beautiful period rural house in a large garden with mature trees. Easy to find a quiet spot under a tree to read a book. Plenty of parking. A good kitchen and laundry. Fresh plums and heaps more in a welcome hamper. The cats were adorable. They called by for some food and a pat a few times a day and then disappeared into the garden. Too many pluses to mention (and we stay in a lot of airbnbs). Negatives which are hardly worth mentioning would be road noise - not too bad and you don't notice it after day 1 - and the kitchen knives were not terribly sharp.

We stayed for a full week and used the house as a base to explore Nelson and surrounds, Havelock (where we took a boat into the Sounds and Blenheim / wineries. After a day exploring, and some days when we didn’t leave the house, we lapped up the views and quiet time - card games, reading, cooking, drinking great NZ wine. The sauna and wood fired hot tub was amazing especially when the skies were clear. The views are spectacular! The drive up the hill is as described (terrifying in the wild wind and rain we had!). Make sure you book a 4WD or an all wheel drive as NZ weather is famously unpredictable. Great hosts who thought of all the small touches and were super responsive.

This was our second visit to Atatu and we weren't disappointed. This is a truly beautiful place to stay. The house is fantastic with every facility you could possibly need. A place for total relaxation with pool, spa and space. Beautiful countryside and the sounds of nature on your doorstep. Panoramic views across rolling hills of olive and pine nut trees out to the ocean beyond. If you like to cook then you'll find everything you need in the well appointed kitchen. Lots of dining space both inside and out. Basia is the ultimate host. Informative, helpful, proactive, doing everything she can to make sure your stay is perfect. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return a third time next year.

Perfect house for a group get away, very clean, had everything we needed and a lixury to each have our own room and bathroom

Great place to stay. We were a group of 9 and we all had plenty of space. The location is a short walk to a Four Square and the Māpua wharf where there are plenty of eateries to choose from and lovely artisan and gift stores. Jane was a great host who communicated well and provided local recommendations. Would happily stay here again.

This is a very special spot in NZ. Leanne’s cottage has everything you could possibly want from a beautiful, well stocked kitchen, to a comfortable and inviting living area to unwind in and relax and 3 of the coziest bedrooms as well as beautiful bathrooms and bonus… a hot tub! Wow!! You can tell this place was a labour of love and the family property is absolutely beautiful as well We were invited to walk and pick from their gorgeous gardens and welcomed by their adorable dogs. This was a place that was truly difficult to leave and we are so grateful that we were given such a wonderful spot and home to stay in. Thank you so much Leanne and Dale.
