3 1/2 miles North off US-2 Perfectly nested in a beautiful country setting with pull in driveway with a large area for parking. Plenty of FREE firewood for the firepit for relaxing around a fire in the evening under the stars. Maple Leaf is centrally located 1 hour or less to U.P. attractions. South Manistique Lake which is 2 miles north of cottage. You can access the trails from the south of cottage 300 feet on a scenic trail in the woods about 2 miles turn left or right to find the trails.

Tired of the rat race and looking for a place to relax and enjoy Michigan’s Upper Peninsula? Then come to our cabin “Das Waldhaus”. We are about 1/2 mile from Highway 2, 8 miles to Lake Michigan beaches, and within 1 hour to most Eastern U.P. attractions including Tahquamenon Falls, Lake Superior, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Big Springs ( Kitch-iti- Kipi) or the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island. Owners live on the premises and will usually be in the area should problems arise.

Wi-fi, 40" Roku tv, fridge/freezer, micro, console table, mirror, picnic table, firepit, 4 camp chairs, Kuerig coffee and charcoal grill. We supply the clean linens and towels. Bathhouse is a short walk away.

Only minutes drive from restaurants/local grocery/gas/amenities.

One twin and a queen are on the first floor. Please consider there are Very Narrow steps to 2nd level. Cottage isn’t childproof. Cottage isn’t suitable if guest has mobility challenges. Lake dock is shared. Tall side to get into the soaking depth bath tub/shower.
