Great location that’s outside the hustle of downtown Reykjavik. Sweet neighborhood and extremely well-kept home with beautiful backyard. Highly recommend.

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

Great communication, beautiful home. We had everything we needed. Views were amazing. Close to lots of stores and restaurants. Klara was a gracious host, very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We plan to come back in the summer next year and will stay here again. We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

We had an unforgettable stay at this Airbnb property in Vogar. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen, comfortable living areas fireplace, washer/dryer, and lovely deck overlooking the water. The location was stunning—remote yet offering breathtaking views of the sunset, black sand beach, mountains and we even saw the northern lights on three of the four nights we stayed. Ólafur the host was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. After long days of exploring Iceland’s natural beauty, relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. This was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we look forward to returning and recommending this property to friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable Icelandic getaway that is centrally located. 15 minutes from the airport and Blue Lagoon, 35 minutes to Reykjavík, and easily accessible to the highway for road trips. A little home from home! A perfect set up for an our little family with great amenities and a lovely view. The spa was a lovely addition!

Our stay at Larus’ accommodation was magical. Such a beautiful and restful setting, we felt relaxed instantaneously. The space was spotless with everything considered. The hot tubs and sauna were wonderful luxuries with the verandas thoughtfully sheltered from the breeze and the kayak’s in the lake which our boys enjoyed. The communication from start to when we left was proactive and clear with Kamil kindly meeting us at the cottages to guide us to the house and show us around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Jette’s house is ideally located to get into Reykjavík and to get out into the absolutely stunning countryside. Located just of the motorway But well soundproofed and superbly insulated you certainly won’t get cold. Jette stayed in contact just enough but felt approachable at the same time. Plenty of grocery shops around so you can cook in the well equipped kitchen. By car it takes about 5-10 mins to get into the old town. Have fun.

A modern spacious house located in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely cat. Lina might be one of the friendliest cats we've ever encountered. We loved staying here with her! Hroar was always available and easy to communicate with. If you're looking for a beautiful house and aren't afraid of a sweet cat, this is your place to go!

We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating, even allowing us to check in super early. The house was spotless, and the host provided us with all the details about local events, making our visit even more enjoyable. Just a heads up—this is someone's home, so there were a couple of rooms with kids' toys that we had to keep an eye on to make sure our little ones didn't wander in. It wasn't an issue for us, but it's something to be mindful of if you're traveling with children. Overall, a perfect listing and we loved our time here!

Helgi's place is a lovely home in an excellent location - shops within walking distance and a good bus service into town nearby, as well as being a peaceful and leafy neighbourhood. Excellent facilities including a hot tub, which the kids enjoyed! The Open Air Museum is a pleasant walk away by the river, very interesting. For a special treat, ask Helgi to put you in touch with Pétur Helgason, who gave us a private tour of some of Iceland's most iconic sights in his minibus. Helgi was extremely helpful, and answered all our questions very promptly. Five stars all round!

Felt right at home. I've never stayed in someone's home before on Airbnb, but Mikael made us feel right at home. Having a ton of space, a full kitchen, access to laundry space was invaluable for our trip. Although we didn't have a chance to use the hot tubs they looked clean and spacious. In retrospect, we would have spayed longer because there is just so much to see in just an hour drive radius around the town. Would highly recommend!

This place is such a gem! Easy to find, parking outside, spotless and incredible views. The hot tub and pool table are what sold it for us and they did not disappoint. Will definitely consider rebooking if we ever return to Reykjavík. Thanks!

The luxury villa was all we could ask for and more. The location is fantastic right across from Kerid crater and easy access to all the hot spots. The villa is nicely appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was magnificent! My only advice would be to allow the outside motion light the ability to be shut off. We woke up at midnight both nights to see the northern lights but the lights out front kept coming on. Would be great if they could be shut off for optimal viewing. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I highly recommend this villa!!

A beautiful home near Reykjavik (10 min drive) & conveniently located near highways for easy travel. Extremely clean and comfortable, amenities as described, amazing back porch and hot tub — felt right at home! Guðjón and his family were incredible hosts and made our first trip to Iceland a VERY special one! Shout out to Tommy & Tia, the house cats — we fell in love! Thank you again for everything; we cannot wait to return!

This place was perfect! 4 adult and 4 kids. It was absolutely beautiful home and the owners were so responsive and helpful. The house is walking distance to food markets and some restaurants and only 20 min drive from downtown Reykjavik. Walking trails all along the area. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our visit to Iceland, highly recommend this place!

Stefan was a great, communicative host with an amazing rural property. Conveniently located around 15 mins from Selfoss, which has a bunch of shops, restaurants, etc amd well placed for scenic drives to loads of beautiful locations across the SW of Iceland and beyond. The house was amazing and felt brand new. I would reccommend this to any group of friends or couples who want a peaceful, private stay in beautiful surroundings.

Great place for a family with small kids. Spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. Kids enjoyed the trampoline and other toys. Host was flexible with check in and efficient/accommodating even though previous guests checked out a bit late.

Una was an excellent host, she always responded to our communications promptly. Checking in was a breeze no hassles, her instructions were clear and accurate. Location was absolutely perfect close to everything including shops, groceries, restaurants and bars. The house was truly charming cozy and very very clean. It was very comfortable and relaxing staying there. I would definitely consider staying there if I visited Reykjavík again in future.
