My family and I used Riaan's place as a base for our Harties adventure which was planned for the next day. The property was immaculate our rooms were very private. We loved the natural stone used inside - a long-time favourite type of finish of my wife's. We were not able to use the lapa but it was available to us. The pool was pristine but because we arrived late and needed food, we reluctantly had to skip having a swim. We ate the best Eisbein at Squires on the host's recommendation. The hosts made us feel right at home and we confidently recommend Riaan's Airbnb.

What’s not to love…they have giraffes greet you as you drive up to the property! Great venue, we were only 3 people for a short stay, but loved the outdoor seating. It’s a perfect place to host a party. Great hospitality and communication from the owner. Fantastic location, easy drive for our trip to Pilanesberg Park. Would definitely stay here again.

A Hidden Gem that Captures the Soul of the Bush – Umntla Lodge is Pure Magic From the moment we arrived at Umntla Lodge, we knew we had stumbled upon something rare and truly special. Tucked away in the bushveld just outside of Brits, this lodge strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and understated luxury. It doesn’t try too hard to impress—it simply is impressive, by virtue of its serenity, soul, and thoughtful design. Our kids loved exploring the paths, watching for animals, and listening to stories under the stars. We loved the quiet mornings, the long walks, and the simple joy of being together in a place that invites reflection and connection. The cleaning and housekeeping were top-notch—everything was spotless when we arrived, and it stayed that way throughout our stay. You can really feel the care and attention that goes into maintaining the space. It’s rare to find a lodge that feels both luxurious and warm, but Umntla manages to do both effortlessly.

Private and beautiful, definitely booking there again

Our stay at Rose’s place was exceptional. Rose was extremely communicative and responsive. The pictures truly do not do it justice. The house is huge and perfect for a large group. Every room was extremely spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked with the best crockery, cutlery and cookware including an entire set of Le Creuset. The place was spotless and beautifully furnished. The attention to detail was unbelievable including embroidered gowns for all guests with slippers. The cherry on top was the incredible assistance we received from the staff who live onsite who ensured the house was always spotless and attended to. In addition, they also set the table every morning and evening comparable to a boutique hotel. We will definitely be back.

The experience was something out of this world! From beginning to end we were treated like VIP’s yet it felt like home at the same time! The on site staff were simply amazing and attentive, having our own private ranger Rochelle living on the property provided safety as well as expertise! She is unbelievably knowledgeable as well as kind and accommodating and went out of her way to show us beautiful wildlife sitings! Expect more than what you get, the listing has private chalets instead of bedrooms all in a house which all include King Sized beds and outside showers and super comfortable linen! I cannot wait to come back! Thank you for a magnificent getaway!
