Kim was a fantastic host. She was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. She called me a few days before our arrival to introduce herself as our host and to ensure a seamless check in which it was. Our stay was just for the weekend to attend a funeral. Upon arrival at Hartfield we were greeted with lovely welcome/condolences card and chocolates. Kim provided recommendations on where to have breakfast when I reached out to her for suggestions. Even though we didn’t have the opportunity to spend a lot of time at the beautiful Hartfield home we enjoyed the home comforts while there and would love to return in the future and spend at week to reap all the amenities and features of the home. The home was exactly as described and Kim’s thoughtful touches made us feel right at home. We appreciated your quick responses and helpful recommendations. Thank you for everything!

A quiet neighborhood and waterfront. We really enjoyed the fire pit, the wide, open space inside and out and the comfortable beds and couches. The kayaks were a plus, along with the PacMan, air hockey and other games in the garage. We spent lots of time there! The house is close to Kilmarnock with all the big box stores and a hospital. An adorable Main Street also! We enjoyed our stay!

Kimberly and Jonathan are wonderful hosts. Our family was very comfortable and found everything just as described. The touches to have a welcome binder and guide on Airbnb were so helpful and the messages we received during our stay were well timed and informative. The water front beach is squeezed between two private properties but make sure you take time to walk over and visit at sunset. The water really sparkles and it’s beautiful! Our 11 year old dog enjoyed the water and it made our family so happy to see our kids and dogs have so much fun exploring the waterfront. We also used the kayaks and life jackets. After our stay the hosts went well out of their way to reunite us with an item we left behind. We hope many of you will stay at their property and enjoy it as much as we did. Thanks!

We enjoyed the house and the surroundings. We fished on the river. Our grandson also enjoyed the basketball court. Everything was very clean and accessible.

Wow! What a relaxing and peaceful getaway….. The location of this house is amazing! Gorgeous 360° views, private and perfect. A-frame with plenty of room indoors and out. The deck and outside space and dock is ideal for fun in the sun. House is perfect for entertaining friends and family or a romantic getaway. Will stay here again without a doubt.

I stayed at Meg's beautiful home with my bridesmaids for my wedding weekend in Deltaville, and it was absolutely perfect! The house is spacious, clean, and well-organized, which made it a comfortable and relaxing place to stay during such a special time. Meg was so kind and responsive, providing helpful local recommendations and detailed instructions for the house. This is an amazing home to rent. It is peaceful and so scenic! The house accommodated six adults easily. The house was spotless and well appointed. All amenities and water toys were made very accessible. Overall, it is an amazing value if you are staying anywhere in the area!!

Joyce has done a phenomenal job with this lake house. Everything has been thought through. The house actually looks even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor. And it is super clean. The kitchen is fully stacked with everything you would need ant home or away. Ample seasoned fire wood and starter sticks makes using their MASSIVE fire pit a breeze. The best part is she gives you access to both of their docks and you will not have to take your boat or kayak out of the water once. We kayak fished Johnson’s and Lacey’s with ease from her house. 100% coming back to stay again.

The cottage was as described and then some! The pictures showed a good sample of the property. The host was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. There was a binder inside with recommendations for sights and places to see. We were able to enjoy the sunset off the pier while swimming in the water. The natural beauty and tranquility of the land made the stay so worthwhile.

We booked this beautiful beachfront home for my husband's birthday, and it was perfect. Check-in was seamless, and the breathtaking water view greeted us upon entry. The house was spotless and peaceful, with only the soothing sound of waves. We enjoyed most meals in the sunroom overlooking the water and took advantage of the outdoor seating as the weather warmed. Fawn, a great coffee and breakfast/lunch spot, was just five minutes away. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to cook fresh seafood from Little River Seafood. Mornings were magical with stunning sunrises, and the nearby beach access was perfect for walks, yoga, and birdwatching. A highlight was Hughlett Point, a hidden nature preserve 30-40 minutes away, leading to a secluded beach with only 11 parking spots. Thank you for sharing your home—it made for a peaceful and unforgettable celebration!

The perfect spot for our Winter getaway. A beautiful setting and a well preserved colonial era cabin, perfect for exploring such an historic part of our Country. Quaint local restaurants, friendly people and a country setting handy to the lower tidewater Virginia. The icing on the cake was the fireplace for cozy evenings reading a good book. Absolutely beautiful spot to stay at. Had a really enjoyable time, was very peaceful and relaxing. The house also had a very home like feel to it, and had plenty of supplies already there. Chuck was very helpful with any questions and also provided information on nearby places to eat and buy supplies. Definitely recommend if you want a nice, quiet place to stay for a bit that is out of the way and private.

This property is magical. Everything I have imagined and more since I discovered it more than 10 years ago. So thankful I finally got to experience it.

Richard was absolutely amazing and was so quick to respond when our trip changed and we were getting there a little bit earlier! We will definitely be coming back next year! The house stayed cold the beds were very comfortable and watching the sunset at the dock was by far my favorite thing!
