Or just sit and relax around a campfire! The cabin is fully furnished with all bedding, towels, dish cloths etc. and a fully equipped kitchen and gas grill. There are outdoor and indoor games. Welcome to the Sandy River Chalet. Located within the Huron National Forest, this is a two-bedroom/one- bathroom cabin. The cabin sits on 1.5 acres, of which a third is wooded. This cabin is a comfortable camp for fishing and hunting enthusiasts. Canoe/Kayak rentals are available from several businesses in the area. Other outdoor activities include hiking, biking, ATV and boating/fishing at one of the local lakes or the Mio Pond. Please enjoy to the fullest but be respectful to the property.

Our camp features a completely renovated, glamped-up guest cabin situated on the AuSable with a bonus bunkhouse that feels more like a quiet nook.

We have preserved many of the original elements and created a welcoming space around them. Enjoy Mio Dam pond, the AuSable River and walking trails during the day. In the evening relax in the cozy living room and enjoy a movie or play one of our many board games. Wake up to a beautiful view of the Mio Airport.

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, not a party place. Built with many unique features: log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop. The metal stair railing designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.
