The house was fantastic! My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful Easter weekend at Clear Lake and having the house on the water made it super convenient for spending time on the lake. We kept our boat at the dock and enjoyed several days of fishing on Clear Lake. Comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, fantastic parking, and its close proximity to Lakeport made for a super relaxing weekend. Brad and Staci were very easy to deal with and were great in terms of communications. Can’t wait to book with them again!

Laura’s place was great. A few mins drive from the lake/boat ramp. I brought my boat and there was ample storage space for it. Laura was also very sweet and friendly. Would recommend and would stay again.

Maya is a super responsible and friendly host. The birdhouse is cute and clean. It is very peaceful. 5 minutes walk to the lake and Maya kindly offers kayaks and paddle board to use! Greatly recommended for a getaway at the lake.

Wonderful stay, the house is beautiful with a great energy. Loved cooking in the well stocked kitchen and sitting in the living area listening to records, sunny courtyard was perfect for reading. The private access beach was fantastic. Great neighborhood, clear instructions and communication. hope we can return soon!

Genna was helpful in every way possible and more! One of us left 2 bags in the lake house on the departure day. Genna was able to locate the items and arrange delivery. Prior to arrival Genna knew I had concerns about a weather situation; she kept us abreast of the situation which gave us peace of mind. Indeed, it was beautiful weather! It was comforting to know that the local grocery store was open on Thanksgiving Day. All nine of us (three generations) had such a special and marvelous time! Our youngsters really enjoyed the toys stashed away in the coffee table. Each bedroom was very spacious! Having 3 1/2 bathrooms was great! The large up to date kitchen, big dining table and very spacious living room was enjoyed at mealtime and family game time. Beautiful huge deck and dock on the lake side with modern fire pit and stunning sunrises! Convenient laundry room with fully equipped washer and dryer which was a lifesaver after our hike on Mt. Konocti. Thank you Genna!!

Our stay at this Airbnb was truly amazing! Everything was exactly as described beautiful, peaceful, and just what our family needed for a relaxing getaway. The house was spotless and comfortable, and the setting by the lake was perfect. It was so quiet and serene, with no visible neighbors around, so it genuinely felt like we had our own private slice of nature. Our family absolutely enjoyed every moment. The hosts were also fantastic very responsive and quick to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and would definitely love to come back!

This was a great bnb walking distance to the lake. Many restaurants in walking distance as well.

Great spot right on the lake! The place is incredibly spacious and well-equipped. Not walkable to much other than the lake, but very convenient to get places by car. The lake view from the deck was lovely. Honestly was a perfect studio that could be a great for a long term stay too.

The team at Lake Life seem very friendly and responsive to any questions I had.

This Airbnb should certainly be on your list if you are visiting the area. It was clean, comfortable, well equipped and quiet and Peter was helpful and very easy to communicate with. Only downside, which may not be relevant to you was there is no door to the bedroom if someone else is sleeping on the living room sofa bed.

We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at the Castaway. The house is well organized and very clean. We spent hours at the beach with private accessibility which was great. Hot tub was a treat. We will definitely return.

We stayed for two nights within the house during our road trip through California. The stay was perfect to recharge while chilling on the pool and enjoying the course on the lake. The house is very well and modern equipped. Jason is a very nice host. I can just recommend the house, especially for families with kids.

My family and I had an incredible stay at Gower’s Airbnb. Honestly, it was even nicer than I expected. This property offers a true California experience that’s incredibly hard to find. I’ve driven along Highway 1 many times, always thinking how amazing it would be to spend time on that beautiful coastal land you see from the road, and this property delivers exactly that. We had lunch and dinner overlooking sweeping views of untouched coastline and the beach below. There’s an easy path down to what felt like a private beach (we didn’t see another soul the entire time), and we spent hours exploring the black sand, walking the shore, and checking out the tide pools at low tide. The whole time, I kept thinking how rare and unspoiled this experience is. Gower has created an incredible home, thoughtfully designed with all the comforts you could want right in the middle of some of the most beautiful land in the world. We’re already talking about when we can come back.

Such a beautiful and peaceful retreat! Our dogs had a blast running around off leash on the hiking trail (the first part of the trail is steep but our dog with arthritis managed it just fine) and the house was incredibly well stocked and clean. Jeff and Trey were always very responsive and so friendly. I’m so glad this was our first trip with our newborn!

We enjoyed our time here. It is very rural, quiet and peaceful. Laytonville is a small town so the grocery store is very basic. It is only about 10 minutes away and open until 11. We were traveling with small children and arrived later in the day. The kids were hot and hungry and we had not had a chance to get food. The woman handling check in had a plate of fruit and was incredibly gracious to share to help keep them going until we could run in and grab groceries. She also called ahead to confirm how late they would be open. (4th of July) The walk to the private lake is not difficult and there are multiple kayaks you can use. In addition, it was during an incredible heatwave and there were regular check-ins to make sure all was well and everyone had water. There is no air conditioning but there are many fans that helped it cool off at night. Any issues or concerns were dealt with timely and appropriately. The service was truly above and beyond.

Stephanie's place was great as a getaway during Christmas week. It had all the supplies needed for cooking meals in the kitchen on the top floor, and having movie nights in the living room on the ground floor. There were plenty of towels, blankets, and baseboard heaters to keep us cozy during the cold, wet, winter weather. Something to be aware of is the bathroom on the second floor is located within the open bedroom space, therefore the closest bathroom for the bunk-bed room requires walking through the no-door king-bed bedroom. This wasn't a problem for us, but did take a bit of coordination with my mother-in-law. Lastly, as is common for homes in wooded areas, there were a few ants here and there, but we weren't concerned they were easy enough to remove and we were mindful about keeping food contained. Overall, a great stay! Stephanie was helpful and responsive even over the holiday week and we were grateful for this affordable vacation spot surrounded by natural beauty.
