The place turned out to be better than what we had imagined. We came on a public holiday and somehow we were the only ones around not just in the premises, but the entire valley. The place is a comfortable stay for 1-2 nights and was arguably the highlight of our 9-day Meghalaya trip, simply because of the location - living in a well-setup cabin in a forest, looking over a river, under stars at night and by the river side in the morning. Amit was very helpful throughout, even before we had made the booking and he helped me with answers about rest of my trip. I really wanted to stay for at least a night here and it was really worth it. Because of holiday, restaurants were closed but Amit helped us find a good place to get dinner before we arrived at the place. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for an offbeat stay away from the hotels and homestays. Come for the peace it has to offer. The place has been built with a lot of love and I hope future guests can keep it that way.

very nice property, neat and clean room, kitchen and bathroom, best for 3 people. location is also very nice. very near to highway. walking distance from the lokhra paltan bazar main road.

I stayed here for 2 nights and had a good time. Really big place in the heart of Shilong with a kind caretaker, well worth the money 🙂

Best experience till date...

Firstly, Rosalin arranged for a refrigerator at our request. It was very nice of her to add this amenity. She gave excellent contact for booking taxi , sightseeing and recommend good restaurants for lunch and dinner. We - group of 9 with kids, checked in very late, Rosalin was there to assist us at that late hour too. Each day of our stay she checked for our breakfast preferences and cooked accordingly and delivered it dot on time.She cooked special kid friendly breakfast too. She was very responsive to all our request and helped whenever she could. and kept a good variety in all 4 days. Rooms are sparkingly clean. Rosalin is a super host. Would certainly recommend her BnB. And finally, there is a foot ball net right behind. So you can sit in the balcony and enjoy a match after your sightseeing

Anne’s place was very cozy and well thought out. It has everything you’d need, including a really well-stocked kitchen. It is located about 2km from the city center, but it also has plenty of shops close by. Although it is close to the main road, the home itself is quiet and very charming. The icing on the cake are the hosts, who are extremely welcoming and help you out with anything you need. Anne also makes delicious breakfast!

Host is friendly and very responsive. I had a pleasant stay. The house had all the necessities.Felt like home.

The peacefulness of the location was incredible. A symphony of birdsong filled the mornings, sometimes continuing into a delightful afternoon chorus. Breathtaking views of Shillong sprawled out below offered a constant visual refresh. The open spaces were throghly enjoyed by our little one. The fresh air and ample space were a toddler's paradise.

Suzan and Kmen were wonderful hosts who were super responsive and suggested tons of options on things to do around Shillong. They also helped sort out cabs at good rates and made reservations for us at some of the local hotels. I had a lovely stay, and they were both warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend people to go here.

If come vibe then you are on your correct path because it will enhance your mood and have lovely terrace which is very lovely at night

Spacious home . Great for hosting a family . Handy to shops . The home had almost everything you might need . Washing machine was a great bonus also 2 bathrooms . It was a comfortable stay for 12 days . Banika was always responsive to our txts. Would highly recommend especially for families . Affordable stay in Shillong .

Never expected it would be so nice. You get a friendly host, clean house and kitchen, plus free breakfast (she gave us tea, chicken patties, croissants, bananas, and some pitha/rice cakes). She even allowed an extra guest to stay, and she gave breakfast for him too. We loved the place; it was worth every penny!

My experience staying here was awesome, clean and airy room, comfortable bed set up, fully equipped kitchen and to top it up a perfectly equipped tv with ott apps installed. Thank you to the team for providing a perfect stay. 👍

I had a wonderful stay at this studio apartment! The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view—it was a joy to wake up to the warm morning sunlight streaming in. The space was clean, well-equipped, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was also convenient, making it easy to explore the area. The host was responsive and made check-in smooth. If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat, I highly recommend this place!

Overall great, host was responsive, room was ready on time. Kitchen and bathroom were squeaky clean. Surrounding is great, has all amenities. Only issue was the linen could use a dry clean, some previous guest probably had pets. Some small quality of life changes would make the value proposition better, like Wifi, which I know was not mentioned in the listing, but it’s helpful regardless. One more value add could be a water heater, which is surprisingly cheap in amazon and I believe it’s worth it. Addition of slippers was great by the owner. According to the cost, it is a fine establishment, but the little improvements help get the ratings 5 star or Guest favourite. I own a airbnb myself and we make sure to focus on the little things, the aim for this review was so Akhil could improve his offering, I wouldn’t mind paying more for some quality of life changes and a bit more focus on the linen. This airbnb is a must if you have two guests who want their separate rooms.

The apartment was very clean and the caretaker extremely helpful and responsive. Since we stayed for a long time, the apartment was cleaned regularly and the bed linen and towels changed. All in all, a very comfortable stay. And the location, extremely central.

It was a great stay. The kitchen had all needed amenities. The bed linens provided were clean. We felt right at home. Best thing was the location which was right at the center of Laitumkhrah (it was the primary reason we stayed at this Airbnb). Thank you for hosting us!
