Beautiful location…my family and I made awesome memories at this lovely place! The hosts were very responsive and great customer service. We would come back to this place!

I'd recommend and will be staying again. this home had everything my family needed. a break from the city and close enough drive to downtown Burnsville. We fished, relaxed. played games and hiked. This home was equipped with more than what we had to time do. Pristine clean and you can tell there was attention to detail! The owners thought of everything! I'm already looking at my calendar for the fall! Thank you!

We enjoyed this beautiful home, peaceful area, and lovely views from the porch and dock. AMAZING fall colors and sunsets. Kelly is kind and responsive, and the home has so many amenities to ensure guests are comfortable and feel at home. Plenty of space to gather as a group or relax in a quiet spot for coffee and reflection. We reserved for our daughter to participate in the Fonta Flora 50K at nearby Lake James State Park. That was postponed, so we were able to volunteer at the park with other race participants to help clear and reroute trails in the state park. We were welcomed with friendly, open arms by restaurant and shop owners in the quaint cities of Marion and Black Mountain. So good to see and experience people loving each other and helping to rebuild after the hurricane. Definitely will return!!

This was our first time to Lake James and we are definitely coming back! The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our needs. It was very clean and had everything in great supply. Like others have written, the house is bigger than the pics let on. Susan was proactive with making sure we had the address, codes, etc before we arrived and very responsive if we had a question. All in all, it was a great time with the family!

This is a beautiful house and is a perfect place to gather family together. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked extremely well, which was greatly appreciated. I also loved how all the light switches were labeled so we didn't have to guess which switch went with which lights. The downsides of this house, and which I think should be a greater warning, is that the driveway is extremely steep (I am surprised that it even meets building codes!). I don't believe every kind of vehicle could manage it. And more on steepness.....OMG the walk down to the lake was extremely steep and the gravel covering the walk is very slippery. I think stairs (made with cross ties) would have been a better solution. Young children or older adults will definitely have trouble with this. But, I loved that we had use of the kayaks down at the lake. We really enjoyed the use of those! One last note is that the master bed is very hard and the pillows are flat. I definitely suggests bringing your own pillows.

My family had a wonderful stay at Cindy’s place! The space was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed and more. Cindy left age appropriate toys for our kids (7 & 10) and they loved the kids room, pinball, the jute box, and all the outdoor and water toys. The beach and dock were private and tucked away in the cove and perfect for hanging out all day on the water. The screen porch was also a great place to sit and relax. Cindy made sure we had everything we needed and was very accommodating!

This mountain home was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. We were looking for a beautiful place to stay that allowed entertainment in various areas at the same time. The three levels of this home allowed for us to spread out. The massage chair and hot tub were highly visited areas and the open concept allowed us to eat meals together. The hosts were very quick to respond to all of our questions prior to the stay and during our stay. The home was exactly as pictured. There were plenty of towels, blankets, dishes and parking for our family of 12. It was truly a peaceful place to unwind and get caught up with family. We will be staying here again in the future.

Beautiful location in the mountains. It would have been difficult to find, but Megan provided helpful directions and hints for access on the Airbnb website. House was gorgeous and amenities were exactly as described.
